- My family and I took a weekend trip to Cedar Point early September and we had a great time! The weather was fantastic, park operations were on point, and the food was better than ever! I was also able to check out some of the work happening to Top Thrill Dragster including the removal of the brake fins on the launch track.

it’s gonna be like those youtube clickbait thumbnails with part of the track missing. they will take off the top section of the top hat so you jump from one side over to the other, 420 feet off of the ground. that’s yet another record broken by cedar point lol

FUN FACT: My daughter's first coaster was front seat on Millenium Force when she was 7. She decided to let out her first and still loudest *"HOLY S%%T!!"* at the top. Proud daddy that day.

This is quite exciting. If they remove dragster completely, they'll build something AMAZING, but if they refurbish it I imagine it can be very cool still.
They've already said it's not being removed
@@alecscheerer_run well, a long drawn out response doesn't mean it's NOT getting removed. I mean, they still basically said it's getting removed for the most part, even though it seems like they didn't.

Just got back from cedar point as of yesterday! Rainy days are the best days because lines are short and marathoning Steve is the best

It was a great trip! Sad that there was no TTD, but the rest of the coasters were running great!

Dragster isn't going anywhere. Its getting a modern upgrade and maybe some retrack. People need to settle down.
Maybe a reverse spike and turn it into a shuttle launch :)

First, it's weird to have a wall there because if it were to be removed, Cedar Fair wouldn't care for the public to see. If they have a wall there, they must be doing something special to the ride because that is just weird to see a giant wall around a coaster at a theme park.

What do YOU think is the endgame for Top Thrill Dragster? I know they said reimagining the ride .... and I took that to mean it's getting LSM launching.

Oh nice, Maverick was back open just this past Sunday then? A friend of mine went Saturday and it went down while she was in line for it. I’m planning on going this coming weekend and want to make sure it’s up!
This trip was back in September 9th - 11th. Maverick was only closed for a few hours on Saturday
Sad I’ll never ride the original dragster, I literally went to cedar point the day it closed 😢

The first time I ever rode it was the year it shutdown, me and my sister got a double rollback so we got launched three times! Was insane because I joked about it the whole time in the line lol
They wouldn’t be able to do just chop down the top hat . There’s a lot of stuff around dragster and extremely heavy steel track falling from 420ft would be catastrophic
Of course. I'm saying though, there would be no point to meticulously remove pieces of the launch track if you were just gonna scrap the entire track/ride.

Dude. Seems to me that you were complaining about the Coasters you were riding that day and anytime that I go to Cedar Point to ride the Coasters I don’t have any issues or complaints except for the Corkscrew which is really a rough ride!! Next time you go back to Cedar Point ride the Corkscrew and then you would have a valid complaint!!
I don't think I was complaining 🤷♂️ I try to point out all positives and negatives, but I had a great time at Cedar Point 👍

Next time you go ride the Corkscrew!! I don’t think you would like it!! It’s a rough ride and I don’t go on it anymore!!
I've done Corkscrew before, i have no desire to ride it again lol
