He said he and a few others at Marvel were ethnically Jewish, and he had no lack of interest in ideas from Judaism to apply to comics. He remolded Norse mythology to make those gods more like powerful creatures, possibly with the idea of a GOD above all in mind.
I didn't say he practiced anything but artwork. No one really practices Merkabbah mysticism today. The details correspondences speak for themselves.

AMC Comics it’s kind of funny because in comics continuity even the smartest Lex Luthors max at like, 8th or 9th level (higher than that is beyond human limits apparently, even Brainiac was a 10th before upgrades). The arrogance is so Lex Luthor lol.

Well idk if you know this but the Elseworlds stories like this one all take place within the DC multi-verse.....remember before the New 52 there was litterly an infinite number of Earth's in their multi-verse.......so yes the Gods and Monsters earth does exist with the DC multi-verse .
Hell even the Arrowverse on CW is showing us that everything created by DC is with there multi-verse and is all connected. They are doing this by having characters from all the old live action tv shows and movies making cameos during the Crisis on Infinite Earth's event. Almost every single live action movie or TV show will have a character show up, except the origional Superman from the movies, since the actor is kinda dead lol
Fun Fact: Back then when Jim Starlim was writing Iron Man he wanted to create a villain based on Kirby's New Gods, more specifically Metron. But his editor said " if you are going to create a villain based on The New Gods based him on Darkseid".
And thus was born Thanos.
I like to think that, within the DC Multiverse, similar universes are clumped closer together, and the further you go from the "prime universe" of one show, the less similar the surrounding universes become. Like in Injustice: Gods Among Us where the two universes in that game are more similar to each other, and are thus closer to eachother within the multiverse, which lead them to collide rather than any other.
This is why in many multiverse stories the two universes are often similar despite the vast diversity the DC Multiverse holds; more similar universes being closer together makes them crossing over more likely. Think of them as clusters of similar universes within the multiverse. The further away you go from that universe, the more different it becomes.
If Gods and Monsters is in the same universe cluster as the DCAU, it would be a sort of multiversal neighbor, making it more likely for that version of Luthor to end up as that other universe's Metron.

I tend to think of it as similar to star clusters. There's the core 'Comics Multiverse' of 52 universes, and beyond that there's stuff like the CW multiverse, the Cinematic Multiverse, the animated Multiverse, the Video Game multiverse.

This is an amazing theory! it kind of reminds me of how in the Kingdom Come comic Orion has aged over the years and just looks like Darkseid with hair basically.
I high key love gods and monsters because its straight up different people who become the people we know opposed to how elseworlds usually work where its another universe version of the same people
I wonder what diana and bruce are doing in gods and monsters clark never got born because of zods meddling but both bruce Wayne and Diana should exist in some form even if not as batman and wonder woman.

He’s not really xenophobic. He hates Superman because he’s jealous of his power and the attention/praise people give him. Pre-Crisis he used to have an alien wife and family.
The New Gods we see are only lesser images of their true forms. Their true forms can supposedly crush a multiverse with ease.

Metron is one of my favourite DC characters, along with Lex Luthor.

That makes a lot of sense. Actually, it got me thinking. The Marvel Universe was created when the previous universe collapsed, which is why there was a big bang. Galactus is the last surviving creature from that universe. And yeah, it's Marvel, so it doesn't have a lot of hold with DC, but... what if Lex is destined to be the Galactus of each DC Universe? When the Gods and Monsters Universe died, Lex found a way to escape, making his way to the next universe, which would be the DCAU. Then when it's time for the DCAU to die (it makes me sad to type that) that Lex, who is still trapped in the Source Wall, will escape and survive into the new universe, which could very well be the Young Justice universe, making that Metron the DCAU Lex. It's out there, but just maybe...
I mean Marvel and DC have acknowledged each other before...
It also tracks since it explains Master Order being either the previous Universe version of Professor X or his future self, with Lord Chaos being a distant past/distant future version of The Shadow King.

Well we know the dark Multiverse branches off from the prime Earth of the DC Universe with it earth numbered -1 there -52. Maybe the DC Animated Universe and the diffrent dc cartoon continuities could be considered another Branch off point from the prime earth of the DCU.
I'm really disappointed they cancelled the gods and monsters sequel. That alternative interpretation of the dcau heroes and villains was for me, the most interesting product to come out of DC's animated features. There was so much left to discover in that universe, but it seems like I never will and it's all your fault. Yes you specifically, reading this right now. Thanks for nothing.

Never take a New God or Apokolyptian death at face value. Darkseid imprints himself on universes that he goes to, kind of like a God and Jesus thing, that's why there are different "versions" but they're all coming from the same source. So even if you kill Darkseid, there is still a Darkseid. Because Darkseid is forever. Ω
I love theory videos in general, but I REALLY like this theory! It would be cool if there was only 1 Metron across all of DC existence & it is G&M Lex! I am not deep enough into comics to know, but I think he may be an obscure enough character that even if that wasnt the original intent, it could be written in with relatively no plot holes. With time travel each appearance could be 1000s of years apart for him & be in a completely different order, which could then explain relatively different power sets & appearances.

Funny you use that title card picture of half and half because I was just watching Fatal Five for the first time in a while and I was thinking that the first fatal Three looked like future concept versions of Deathstroke, Atomic Skull, and Lex Luthor.
i never consider theory but my god the more i think about its a really great theory.
The reason why the New Gods are different across the multiverse is because they are avatars of the actual New Gods (who exist outside the Multiverse) scattered throughout the multiverse; not different versions like say Kingdom Come Superman and Prime Earth Superman. This was established in Multiversity.
So what does that mean for their planets, New Genesis and Apokolips? Are they also avatars of those actual planets?

I’d believe it.. Lex decides to jump universes, finds time travel, finds a way to suspend his biology… etc. not that far fetched, especially with how well they fit and how similar they are.

Gods of DC Universe exist outside the Multiverse. Apokolips, New Genesis, the Olympians or Metron... it doesn't matter. There is only one Darkseid and Metron and Orion, but they look different, sound different in every universe because they're just avatars, puppets of the true gods that we can't even comprehend. Darkseid once fell on the multiverse... that's how unimaginable they are. So no... Metron isn't Lex. No chance for that.
And remember...
Darkseid is.

My understanding is that the New Genesis and Apokolips on the Multiverse map is where the prime versions of the New Gods reside. All the different versions of the New Gods we see are those prime versions splintering their consciousness across reality. Same goes for the various pantheons of gods we see.

IDK IF THIS HELPS, but most hardcore comic fans from DC have chosen to accept that apokolips/new genesis/the new gods do in facr exist outside of the multiversse, but that they have an avatar (including a celestial avatar for the planets they live on) in each of the universes to allow them to interact with the universe and exist inside of it.

It’s on our [very long] to-do list! The “Will it Canon?” show is wrapped up in our WDb storyline right now, so we have specific WIC episodes to get through first. But we’ll definitely be getting to that one!

Interesting, Metatron is the Archangel of Kether (the first emanation/sephira) of the Qabalistic Tree of Life. Very fitting lore for a comic god named Metron.

Metron likes defeating his enemies before they know that the game has begun. That shot of him giving fire to Anthro wasn't actually about the fire, but the two messages he burnt on the cave wall - one was a primitive drawing of the Miracle Machine, and the other was the New Genesian glyph for freedom, a vaccine against the Anti-Life Equation. As space and time start collapsing, Kamandi the Last Boy tells Anthro the First Boy that those symbols are important, and Anthro travels to the 21st century, the area around which time is collapsing, to yell at the humans of that time that Metron gave them a weapon against the gods, thus giving the Anti-Life Vaccine (or at least the knowledge of its existence) to the scattered human resistance.
Other time travel related gambits that Metron has been known to pull include JLA: _Rock of Ages,_ where Metron pulled several Justice Leaguers away from their current conflict into a possible future ruled by Darkseid, then manipulated the heroes so that they would stop Darkseid before he took over, and SPOILERS APPROACHING FOR _Young Justice_ SEASON FOUR, SPOILERS APPROACHING, where he "conducts an experiment" that ends in the main antagonist of the season being killed by the very Kryptonite that the antagonist attached to a bomb to kill Superboy/Conner Kent.
And here I thought Lex Luthor was Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson...🤣

I honestly thought that they were making him Metron in gods in monsters. I didn't realize there wasn't any confirmation... it just seemed that's what they intended. As for there being one Metron and it is G&M Luthor, bit more of a stretch, but I like that he might be DCAU Metron, that doesn't seem to much a stretch.
