Sabaton just recieved an award as "Enlightener of the Year" here in Sweden for" the way they portray historical events in a correct manner and provide even more information than their songs can encompass"
Same! i was back in the C stands way in the back, can say with pride that my entire row sang our hearts out and cried. Also hilarious that they decided to use Göteborg staden på G as the exit song xD really was a mood turner.
I can only imagine what it must be like for the band and how they must feel. On stage and the whole crowd just singing your song back to you. If that is not a solid validation that you are doing something amazing and right as a band I do not know what is.
En Livstid I Krig (A Lifetime of War) is about the 30 Years War(1618-1648). There are 2 sets of lyrics for this song. The Swedish version being performed here, tells the story from an individual soldiers point of view. The English lyrics tell the story from a broader perspective. What to do next from Sabaton? : animated story videos for Night Witches, The Red Baron, or Lady of the Dark.
That "really young" guitarist is Tommy Johansson and he is actually not the youngest member of the band, he is 35 (33 when this was recorded) and he is older than Hannes (drummer) and he is an amazing singer too. Except being Sabaton guitarist he is also a singer and songwriter in his own band, Majestica (called ReinXeed before), a band he started when he was 14. He also has his own RUclips channel where he does a lot of amazing covers and he has just hit 100K subscribers. I strongly recommend checking out his covers of Phantom of the Opera (he sings BOTH roles), She's Gone (Steelheart) and You Raise Me Up (1 octave challenge) to see his incredible vocal range and Majestica song Above the Sky. As for Sabaton, I think you would enjoy live performances of Angels Calling with Apocalyptica and Lion From the North
Good Marina. I've been nagging him about reacting to Tommy for a long while now, but it is yet to be seen. Can hardly wait until February, getting back home in Göteborg for my Sabaton concert! The venue will be smaller than Scandinavium arena here, so hopefully it will be more intimate and closer to the band.
I would add ”the light” to the list .. I do love is voice in the more lower rages “18 and life” and “alone” was got me to be a fan “ o helga natt” and I holy night” I also worth a listen even if it isn’t Christmas any longer 😀
I was working backstage in 2005 when Sabaton first entered the stage at Sweden Rock Festival. I have NEVER met such a good and caring couple of guys as them. Love them forever
Sabaton actually has an entire album about the rise and fall of the Swedish Empire called Carolus Rex. There are 2 versions of this album, 1 in English and 1 in Swedish. The title refers to King Charles XII of Sweden (King Charles = Carolus Rex in Latin).
If you want to hear more of their Swedish songs I recommend Carolus Rex and Lejonet från norden (Lion from the North). Both songs have English versions too so maybe a double reaction?
I was at a Sabaton concert yesterday, nothing of this scale, "only" around 2000 people. But the sing-along to this song was the same, it was incredible. I've been at two smaller concerts with Sabaton now and if I ever get the chance to watch them live again in an arena like in Gothenburg (guessing it was Scandinavium?), I will!
I was there with my wife that I got into heavy metal through Sabaton, you can’t really put a feeling on how incredible this live performance was. The energy in the crowd was so great! Watching this over and over takes me back! ❤
I was there on the left and I can tell you that the memory of that concert..that moment will stay with me forever. Truly epic! Thing is Sabaton is capable of making you be captured by the moment. Another incredible video with an amazing crowd is the Uprising live Woodstock.
I was there in gothenburg skandinavium and it was one of my best experiences ive had the hole stadium was all dark before they tolv us to turn on our phone lights and the hole stadium lit up and some of us out our hands on our harts while singing along like it was the national anthem. Truely one of the best metal bands out there Edit: karolinens bön or the caroleans prayer is a great sabaton song I would like to see you react to 😁
A Swedish band, singing about Swedish soldiers dying needlessly, in front of the literal descendants of these soldiers (every family had soldiers in that era) = set to hit hard. It sure does. I've seen Sabaton so many times I've lost count, I'm probably at 7 or 8 now. This song hits different in Swedish than in English.
Regarding live reactions / singalongs, the live version of "The Bard's Song" by Blind Guardian is unmatched in my opinion. Absolute goosebumps every time
I was there, high up far to the right. Before they started to sing they announced that they would be in Stockholm the next day and that they would like to have a little contest. They asked the audience to turn on the lights on our phones and sing along as loud as we could and they would see who was the winner the next day. Considering that "our" performance was uploaded I guess we won😅
This was by far the most epic moment in any concert I have ever been to. Tenth row far left. Everyone joined in singing, tears on our cheeks. Emotional and epic, it's an incredible memory and every time I watch a reaction it always comes back. Thank you for this. Another incredible live with crowd interaction is Uprising live Woodstock. Joakim with a choir of 500.000!!
The young looking guy is Tommy Johansson and i strongly urge you to check out his youtube channel. He has an amazing voice and he has done a lot of different covers.
Nice reaction, I was at this show (sitting somewhere in the middle of the platform to the left from this view of the stage) needless to say, it was one hell of a show that night. We were 10 766 metalheads at the arena and the goosebumps was heavy (no pun intended) during a lot of the parts here. Many call it the sabaton effect where in their songs you feel pride about a country that is not your own.
As a Sabaton mega supporter I was in row 9 from the stage and this is just amazing. BUT all concerts with Sabaton will give you something to remember. I really love the smaller venue with them as it tend to get a bit more personal with only 1500 people in the croud. THANKS FOR REACTING TO MY NATIVE BAND MATE.
I was in the crowd that night....and i can tell you....i've have NEVER had that much goosebumps over my body...in my life!...one night i will NEVER forget!
I really like that we can see how the song affects your emotions. It's a very emotional song, and I've shed tears many times to this. I've seen other reaction videos, with people that can be described as hard and tough, cry like a school girl, because it brings the hard brutality of war close to home, and heart. If there is a song to show people that like to glorify war, show them this.
If you want to react to an awesome Sabaton song that shows the more depressing and less epic side of sabaton, listen to "The price of a mile"! There is also "The Final Solution". But that one goes into *really* heavy topics that you might not be comfortable with.
Glad to see another Sabaton reaction! As history enthusiast, I love this band so much. So many amazing songs in their own way that I cant even come down with just a single recommendation if you want to check out more of their songs. Soldier of Heaven is one of my personal favourites with beautiful lyrics. The Red Baron is a fast paced song that really makes you start moving. And Primo Victoria is from their first album but already quite the powerhouse. Actually quite funny while I think about it, because I believe I found your channel through your Bismarck - Sabaton reaction and stayed to watch your fall into the rabbit hole :D. What can I say, how can I not continue watching someone appreciating Towa-sama and enjoying Sabaton!
i was there, it was the most powerfull moment of my life, and fun fact. before the song joakim said that the next day they were gonna play in stockholm, kind of a rival city to gothenburg, and he said that we were gonna do a competition, the crowd between us and stockholm that sang the loudest was gonna win, and we just couldnt let stockholm win, thats a big reason the crowd is going so hardcore😅
Sabaton has to do right by the history they refer-to. That's unique. Just being entertaining, like most bands, is hard enough. I respect them enormously. ••• Thanks! PEACE!!!
I have seen them 8 times and I can say that for me the Swedish songs are the absolute best they have made. The lyrics comes so hard that it's magical. And yes I am Swedish.
I was there with my best freind, we both are huge fans and i still have he´s hoodie that he bought from this concert. sad to say he passed away not so long ago and this song has a huge meaning to me now. Always end up in tears hearing this song. The show was fucking amazing and gothenburg is a great town. Sabaton for life.
Great reaction as always to one of Sabaton's most powerful performances ever. Also, the young guitarist doing the solo, Tommy Johansson, has his own channel where he does covers of iconic songs with amazing vocals. His cover of "Who Wants To Live Forever" by Queen, dedicated to the late and great Queen Elizabeth II is especially good.
I got to experience this song and many others live two days ago at the Stockholm concert of Sabaton's "Tour to End all Tours" that's going on right now! Sold out the Avicii arena, a.k.a. the Globe in Stockholm, nearly 16 thousand people there singing along, extremely powerful! I'm bad with crowds andI was scared to death of the height where our seats were but it was worth it!
So the young looking guy is Tommy "ReinXeed" Johansson who is 35 years old and is a Swedish vocalist and guitarist known for his work as a guitarist Sabaton which he joined in 2016 and is lead vocalist and guitarist of the band Majestica (formerly ReinXeed), a power metal band from Boden, Sweden. On top of that Tommy has his own channel where he posts music including Disney-Sabaton mix covers. Also from what I know Tommy has a Genetic disorder that prevents him from being able to grow facial hair
Great choice! I love you enjoyed it!! Thanks for your great reaction :-) Sabaton's members are very dedicated to their fans. They sing 23 years and do about 100 live concerts a year. They interact with the fans in so many ways. They always think what fans will like, and try to do it (records, festivals, signing while touring, videos, e.g. Bismarck is only on the internet not on records for sale, just for fans free as a thank you gift for 20 years together, etc.) This one is so special, recorded in 2019, but the song is from 2012 Carolus Rex in Swedish album.
I also like SABATON 🇸🇪 But I also love NIGHTWISH 🇫🇮🤘 Together they are good Friends What a great enthusiastic response Superrrrrrr 🔥 love it 👐 Thank You so much Love from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
40:1 and Uprising LIVE in Poland in front of a massive crowd at Woodstock in 2012 is really cool. The history behind those lyrics… right in from the polish descendants
Your reactions are absolutely brilliant👌. I would like to see your reaction to Sabaton guitarist Tommy Johansson for example ALONE - HEART (Cover by Tommy Johansson) or TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART (Power Metal Version) - Tommy Johansson. His voice is amazing😍, you will definitely like it👍. Thank you for your videos, you are one of the few who can do it👏🙂 and the young man you spoke of is Tommy and he is 35 😁
as usual a great reaction. you asked for similar crowd responses, 40:1 or uprising from wacken poland are insanely intense just to let you know, Sabaton received a price fo being outstanding public educators, not much money but prestige. do a search and find out more.
I was one of the lucky ones attending this concert It was a truly amazing show, and this song was the absolute highlight! And for us that are a bit "older" and has been in the military and also are veterans (abroad) this song is a bit extra emotional which we can relate to. Even though the song is about the 30 year war (1618-1648) which is about the Swedish great era!
Was in the middle of the crowd, probably the single best concert moment I have experienced. Partially because it ended up being the last concert for almost 30 months due to lockdown and partially because how emotional this was. Was extremely hard keeping the tears back.
Great reaction!! The “young” guitarist on stage right is Tommy Johansson. Not only is he one of the two guitarists in Sabaton, he is also the lead singer and guitarist of his own band, Majestica, and he does a lot of covers, releasing a new song on his RUclips channel every Friday. I strongly recommend you go down that rabbit hole. He occasionally sings lead during a song or two during a Sabaton concert. Incredibly talented guy!! Here is an example of his work: m.ruclips.net/video/ijvOkoAQqzM/видео.html cover of Skid Row 18 and life.
Dear G.OT, how many times have I begged of you to also react to Tommy Johansson , the ' young' guy you saw here? It's high time for that. Welcome to a concert in my town of birth Gothenburg= Göteborg. This song needs to be listened with the captions on as the Swedish lyrics differ in perspective from the English text. Next month I get back to my old home town Göteborg for a live Sabaton concert. Hope to have seen you check out Tommy before then.
Thank you for a wonderful reaction! I know this reactio has been out for quite some time now, but i would like to suggest that you check out Carolus rex (from the album with the same name). It comes both in swedish and english. Greetings from a sweden 🤘🏻
We were not at this Concert but at one of the other ones at this tour!!!!.. And its really hard to compare bcs when the lyrics is in Swedish it just gets leveled up by .....?????percent when their heart is yours
Love your reactions to the singers, you remind me of a child opening a gift on Christmas day that you wanted so badly lol. I would love to see your reactions to Lani Gardner, listen to her singing dream and hell on heels I think you would absolutely love her as well as her voice.
The crowd always sing the entire song, sometimes joakim does aswell! :D I was not at this particular concert but i have been to their own festival 5 times, everytime this song gets played live it just hits different.
Sabaton is performing in denmark in april and Me and a relatively recent new friend of my mine have ordered tickets :P looking forward to being in their crowd! Edit: they we're amazing unfortunately this song wasn't performed at royal arena but we got alot of songs ^^
"En Livstid I Krig" (a lifetime in war) For a moment I was like, why is this in danish, until I forgot Sabaton are our dear brother Sweden. Greetings from Denmark! BTW, Brother Norway, you guys spell it the same too right? Anyways I would recommend more pentakill songs. Here's a video which contains all of them in the correct order. There multiple singers for the songs, male, female, black, white, there should be at least 1 song for everybody in there. Video title PENTAKILL - ALL SONGS/ALL ALBUMS (Smite and Ignite, Grasp of Undying e Lost Chapter)
WHAT AN INSANE LIVE PERFORMANCE!! WOW!!

I were there and yelled the lyrics with fellows around me and had an awesome time, can't wait until I can see them live again.
the english version of this song sounds a bit different 😉
Can you please react to "[ Library Of Ruina ] Children of the City by Mili" it's a pretty good song.
Sabaton just recieved an award as "Enlightener of the Year" here in Sweden for" the way they portray historical events in a correct manner and provide even more information than their songs can encompass"
You know. Sabaton and Babymetal and Lordi in the same concert!!!! is coming to UK soon! I'm going to Stockholm most för Babymetal. *-)
I was fortunate enough to be there, and I can say that this was without a doubt the best concert I've been to.
That is absolutely amazing! Bet it was incredible
Same! i was back in the C stands way in the back, can say with pride that my entire row sang our hearts out and cried.
Also hilarious that they decided to use Göteborg staden på G as the exit song xD really was a mood turner.
Same me and my friends were near the stage and it was so good
I was there!!!🤘🏼❤️😊Amazing moment🤘🏼❤️
My brother says the same thing.

That experience must be like nothing else! Such an amazing live show!
💯
I was at this show, and they were literally speechless after. Took several minutes before Joakim could speak 🫣
That just have to be a memory for life for them.

More accurately its, A Lifetime in War.
What a crowd! What awesome lyrics! What an incredible band!!!
Absolutely incredible crowd!

Their live performance of Uprising are amazing. From Woodstock festival in Poland, quite magic to watch. 👍
Yes! If you watch uprising, watch one recorded in warsaw! The crowd there is simply amazing with that crowd-
Oh yeah? I'll have to check it out 💯
Its the Uprising official live video that is from Warsaw 😀
Yeah, that's the first thing I thought of too. Amazing performance.
@@GOTGames Woodstock in Poland had a crowd of 600,000
This is probably my favorite song of Sabaton aswell. The lyrics applies to every war ever which makes it even more powerful
Yessss… exactly my thought too 🤘🤘🤘
Absolutely love the lyrics and the song itself! Amazing song
I were there and yelled the lyrics with fellows around me and had an awesome time, can't wait until I can see them live again.
Sabaton played this at their cruise four weeks ago. Whole crowd were singing and crying although there were persons all over the world
Every time they play this song in Sweden the crowd sings like this 😍
Whoever recommended this, I love you.
Such a good performance, such a great crowd.
A legendary performance and you really need to know about "young" Tommy and what he is really capable of!
I was at a Sabaton concert yesterday, nothing of this scale, "only" around 2000 people. But the sing-along to this song was the same, it was incredible. I was there in gothenburg skandinavium and it was one of my best experiences ive had the hole stadium was all dark before they tolv us to turn on our phone lights and the hole stadium lit up and some of us out our hands on our harts while singing along like it was the national anthem. Truely one of the best metal bands out there
Edit: karolinens bön or the caroleans prayer is a great sabaton song I would like to see you react to 😁
A Swedish band, singing about Swedish soldiers dying needlessly, in front of the literal descendants of these soldiers (every family had soldiers in that era) = set to hit hard.
Absolute goosebumps every time
Yes! The live performance from Wakken is absolutely amazing!!
Yes!! The bard’s song and Valhalla live is a must with Blind Guardian.
I was there, crying while singing. One of the best concert memories in my life. 🤘

Another incredible live with crowd interaction is Uprising live Woodstock. Joakim with a choir of 500.000!!
MAN THE CROWD, HOLLY JESUS. i felt it on my whole skin
Incredible crowd! 💯
Huge band and incredible performance indeed. And totally agree Luke. This crowd is jam in their bread!! Unbelievable 🔥🤘❤
The young looking guy is Tommy Johansson and i strongly urge you to check out his youtube channel. He has an amazing voice and he has done a lot of different covers.

The lead guitarist and multi-instrumentalist is Tommy Johansson, watch his RUclips channel, he will blow your mind!
Great reaction - As usual! I will always come back here for your Sabaton reactions!
They managed to perfectly condense all the complexities and horrors of massive international conflicts into one sentence:
"And the world burned."
I was in the crowd that night....and i can tell you....i've have NEVER had that much goosebumps over my body...in my life!...one night i will NEVER forget!
Proud Swedish woman here 💛 I love this song
I really like that we can see how the song affects your emotions. It's a very emotional song, and I've shed tears many times to this. If you want to react to an awesome Sabaton song that shows the more depressing and less epic side of sabaton, listen to "The price of a mile"! There is also "The Final Solution". But that one goes into *really* heavy topics that you might not be comfortable with.
And if he wants something more cheerful, he should try the unkillable soldier.
Glad to see another Sabaton reaction! As history enthusiast, I love this band so much. So many amazing songs in their own way that I cant even come down with just a single recommendation if you want to check out more of their songs.

you can feel it INSIDE your chest, there is really no other feeling like this. I STRONGLY recommend seeing live if you can, it's truly incredible.
Best indoor consert with Sabaton so far! This was so amazing too be a part of!
I was there and it was truly amazing! Always fun to see people react to this because you can kind of see me in the front 😂 Great reaction as always!
Dude...I've been watching your videos all night and I freaking LOVE this reaction!
Great reaction as always to one of Sabaton's most powerful performances ever. I also like SABATON 🇸🇪
But I also love NIGHTWISH 🇫🇮🤘
Together they are good Friends
What a great enthusiastic response
Superrrrrrr 🔥 love it 👐
Thank You so much
Love from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
I've been to a Sabaton show, once. Best Show I've ever been to. It's such a fun time. Being a part of a crowd like that? Fantastic.

Been awhile since I've heard this group. Man I miss my metal days.
You're genuine dude, you just got yourself a new subscriber! \m/
as usual a great reaction.
you asked for similar crowd responses,
40:1 or uprising from wacken poland are insanely intense
just to let you know, Sabaton received a price fo being outstanding public educators, not much money but prestige. do a search and find out more.
They are so good. Keep reacting to them. 👏❤️👍
saw them live yesterday at gotland, this song was just as amazing in this video, when the crowd sing to, it hits diffrent
Yes i was there, and i have seen them live a bunch of times. Great band 😎🤘 … and this is how history should be presented
This the one we been waiting for all along lmao
Aw, man. By far my favorite reaction to this live performance by Sabaton!
"And the world burned": probably the best description of widespread war I've ever read.
I was one of the lucky ones attending this concert It was a truly amazing show, and this song was the absolute highlight! And for us that are a bit "older" and has been in the military and also are veterans (abroad) this song is a bit extra emotional which we can relate to.
I've seen them three times so far live. It's always an amazing show!!!!!
The emotion this brings up is soooo... undescribable
Thank you so much for your reaction. Loved it! / Micke P
In May my sister and I are going on one of sabatons concerts. I'm beyond excited for this song
Thank you for a wonderful reaction!
I know this reactio has been out for quite some time now,
but i would like to suggest that you check out Carolus rex (from the album with the same name).
It comes both in swedish and english.
Greetings from a sweden 🤘🏻
Everytime i listen to this song i get goosebumps! I can’t wait to see them in oslo 29th april 2023!❤
I was there almost in the middle of the crowd and it was so freaking amazing.
The guitarist that looks young Tommy Johansson. Check out his cover of Twisted Sisters - The Price ❤️
I was there.... it was magical. Still gives me goosebumps when i see this video🇸🇪
Listen to more Tommy Johansson covers. He will blow you away. He is the lead guitarist for Sabaton and the only that looks like he is 16 years old.
Soldier of heaven is from the newest album, its a fantastic and sad song, You should give it a try!
This crowd gives me goosebumps!!!
darling, they are just Good! Sorry new to the Chanel, but a massive Sabaton fan.
100% the best concert I've been to. Nothing can beat that!!
It was me and my 2 best friends and over 10000 other ppl there on Valentines day 2020. It was amazing.
The crowd always sing the entire song, sometimes joakim does aswell! :D
I was not at this particular concert but i have been to their own festival 5 times, everytime this song gets played live it just hits different.
The English version of this song is called A Lifetime of War. It's from a slightly different perspective to the Swedish version.
Sabaton is performing in denmark in april and Me and a relatively recent new friend of my mine have ordered tickets :P looking forward to being in their crowd! Edit: they we're amazing unfortunately this song wasn't performed at royal arena but we got alot of songs ^^
it helps that the language lends itself well to projection, epic for sure
Sabaton just realesed a new song, The First Soldier, please react to that one, what a great song!
Nice reaction to a wonderful performance.
Video title
PENTAKILL - ALL SONGS/ALL ALBUMS (Smite and Ignite, Grasp of Undying e Lost Chapter)
There is nothing called this is my favorite Sabaton song. You will just say that every song you listen to.
The vibes in that live performance hits different
Your best reaction I've seen of you.
I so love to watch reactors watching this video for the first time ❤😮.
Do u have subtitles on? The words are very meaningful too.
