I honestly really agree with your comments on the club members board and I have seen it when it was full of great guys who loved being a member of the brotherhood and respected all members opinion on everything and then I have seen when the club board members are seriously just out for themselves and only their opinion about everything matters and their brothers voices never got heard because I grew up from birth WATCHING my own father as a member of Satan's Choice motorcycle club Ontario Canada and he was a member of the Satan's Choice for over 25 years and joined in 1976 till 2001 then ended up becoming a member of Hell's Angel's motorcycle club Ontario Canada and he has been a member now for 21years and I seen him in every single board members possession and I have been married to a member for 16 years now and he joined Hell's Angel's motorcycle clubs when he was only 19 years old and he has been a member for over 21years now and I have seen the best possible members and the worse possible members over the years and I can HONESTLY say I would not want to be a part of any other type of belonging and brotherhood and family then I have with my club family

It's just not in clubs that boards can be a good or bad thing. Unions are the same way. My father taught me when I was kid that people who crave power should never be given it. During my life I have seen time and time again that nothing good comes from those time of people. They are INDIVIDUALS ( the worse thing you call some one in anything that needs teamwork to work) Its all about them. Every body else is stepping stone. Every brother should have their say and a vote.

I am always pro every fully patched member discussing, fully knowing and voting. From my club's perspective, the board is more like brothers who have more time to do stuff that other brothers might not at that given moment, I am not talking about ability or will, I am talking about actual time due to work hours, families or even health issues that need to be taken care of first. The board is brothers looking out for their club's well being. Everything going on should be discussed thoroughly and voted on by all members on the table, not just the board. As for the club's financials, what we do is when money needs to be spent, the brother who carries the money for said task has to get approval by the treasurer and 2 members, who sign on the book of the treasury. All in all, every member has equal power when it comes to how the club should be running. That way there will never be politics within and everyone is kept honest. I couldn't agree more with everything that you said because that is exactly how the club members in my father and husband club have board members but they actually have where each members of the club votes for everything and the club runs smoothly and prevents politics in members and if everyone in the club is respectful and loyal to their brotherhood and treats each member equal everything is going to be great for everyone
This is one of the most important things. Most clubs whether is an MC, MSC, RC, etc. The rankings is always most important. Bad thing is sometimes you get members who don't belong in those rankings and yes, it damages the club.

Respect to u! Great video. As President of my chapter I give each of my members respect. They have a say in all chapter business. Once all views are debated then there a vote by all members not just the board. My VP and Secretary/Treasure handle most day by day business and give me run down weekly. All events are ran by my VP. Allows me to be free to sit with other heads of MCs to establish relationships. If your members don't get a say or vote then they feel as if they don't matter and bad feelings start creeping in and that tears clubs apart. I been in t Club like that and want no part that kind of club.

The executive board is elected by members they serve us.But in my experience when the board have their meetings members feel they arent being told everything it leads to some discontent .I actually suggested to let one member to attend those meetings.Just to let everybody its all on the level
A good board always has an officer's call before the meeting. This way all the business can be presented effectively, take care of the minutes and make corrections if any, and the officers on the same page. This makes the meeting run effectively.
Thanks for another great video. I might not be in a club that rides but I think social clubs count personally because we have similar goals we just don't ride. I'm personally a board member. I'm a trustee that runs daily bar operations basically clubhouse manager like you would say. I'm only 25 and honestly I've seen a lot of bs politics in my time. I've seen whole families try to take over the charter. I've seen people voted out over politics and I've actually had to fire employees over boar politics. when I was just a bartender I almost got fired because the president thought he was God. end of the day it's about being there for the members and providing a safe environment to congregate. the drama is not worth it. I'm looking forward to the future of my club. I have dreams of starting another chapter when I move with my girl and making my club something great that can withstand personal ego and the macho stuff that surrounds the culture. if you ever want to sit down with a social club guy I'd love to talk it out with you man. your channel is awesome. When I rode years ago my crew was in the bronx on Davidson ave. the good old days I was known as Bronx county panty snatcher I had a Yamaha 1100 with a kerker pipe that bike was a beast! I only weighed 140 at the time! We went from Jerome ave 174th to Coney island at Nathan's in 52minutes flat!
Awesome video! Our prez only controls the meeting. Nothing happens in our club with out a vote. We are 15 years old and only grow by 8 for a total of 12 in those years. We find people want to buy patches and look bad ass. We struck out to start a real MC. MLLH&R to you sir.
My last club did that only the board had a decision and the board consisted of all yes men if you disagreed you where the enemy of the prez other full patches didn't get a vote. I seen it for what it was and that's one of the reasons I left
Sounds like a club within a club. Which can really bring down the brotherhood vibe. I think. A board can have it's discussions, everyone has a role. But brotherhood is brotherhood. If handled correctly, as open and honest as possible, there should be no "They think they're better than us" - thoughts towards the board. I think so. Everyone has a role, own place, but at the end, we are equal, with our own specialties. "Free men are not equal Equal men are not free"

I have been a chapter sergeant at arms in my '99 club for 27 years now corporate sergeant at arms for two years The club has been around for 46 or 47 years I have held office longer than any member in the club every 2 years I'm voted back in I do not run for the position I do not campaign for it My brothers feel that I'm the guy for the job that's why I've got the jobf

I'm a secretary. The only reason the board has a separate meeting is to discuss issues outside of the club i.e. other clubs outside of our own that affect us. Full patches are all equal votes and will be given all the information.

Love your show I've been riding for years was a fully patched 1% I left because of exactly what you just talked about the club was all board decisions members got no say I hated the politics so I left. Few years later the club disappeared been doing my thing in an RC but they run it proper all members present vote no one person or group makes decisions.

The board is good as long as they also don’t have too much power. Every patch holders voice counts at our table. All the officers don’t sit down before hand to handle shit. One thing you didn’t touch on is the saa and the secretary are the subject matter expert’s on bylaws and practices and protocol, but keep in mind everyone does it differently. It’s always interesting to find out how everyone does shit. Take all the good shit you learn adapt it and blend for how it’ll work for your club and build or community as a whole better. #good #syll

If a club has a mother chapter and a nomad chapter the structure changes there for you have people on the both ends of the spectrum / with sated not to get into bylaws but you may have a patchholder prospect in the nomad chapter / just saying / bandit
#ghostin another great vid brother and I definitely think a MC will run better if all the fully patched members all vote specially for prospects becoming fully patched needs to be a unanimous vote from the fully patched members, but I definitely think every idea all the members should vote on it, it shouldn't be just a president deciding everything, like in the true story show brothers in arms the president of the comancheros MC in Australia made all the decisions. So alot of the members thought they all should vote on everything but the president said no he has final decision, so half the club split into 2 charters

in my experience when someone is politicking to have a certain position of power it will alwasys abuse it. embezzelment, corruption, bullying. there are many forms usually the best leaders/ people to entrust position of powers are the ones that don't want it and that are elected on popular demand because of their skills, attitude or personal code of conduct

Love your show I've been riding for years was a fully patched 1% I left because of exactly what you just talked about the club was all board decisions members got no say I hated the politics so I left. Few years later the club disappeared been doing my thing in an RC but they run it proper all members present vote no one person or group makes decisions.

The board is good as long as they also don’t have too much power. Every patch holders voice counts at our table. All the officers don’t sit down before hand to handle shit. One thing you didn’t touch on is the saa and the secretary are the subject matter expert’s on bylaws and practices and protocol, but keep in mind everyone does it differently. It’s always interesting to find out how everyone does shit. Take all the good shit you learn adapt it and blend for how it’ll work for your club and build or community as a whole better. #good #syll

If a club has a mother chapter and a nomad chapter the structure changes there for you have people on the both ends of the spectrum / with sated not to get into bylaws but you may have a patchholder prospect in the nomad chapter / just saying / bandit
It's a good thing if you have the right folk on the board

#ghostin another great vid brother and I definitely think a MC will run better if all the fully patched members all vote specially for prospects becoming fully patched needs to be a unanimous vote from the fully patched members, but I definitely think every idea all the members should vote on it, it shouldn't be just a president deciding everything, like in the true story show brothers in arms the president of the comancheros MC in Australia made all the decisions. So alot of the members thought they all should vote on everything but the president said no he has final decision, so half the club split into 2 charters

That makes no sense to me. Quick question if I could. Would the Enforcer kinda be like the right hand of the Sgt at Arms?

My club doesn’t operate like this at all. We have our hierarchy but all of the patches vote and discuss whatever issues we have

in my experience when someone is politicking to have a certain position of power it will alwasys abuse it. embezzelment, corruption, bullying. there are many forms
usually the best leaders/ people to entrust position of powers are the ones that don't want it and that are elected on popular demand because of their skills, attitude or personal code of conduct
