Loved your breakdown. Especially the patches within the club. I was Sergeant of Arms and our chapters of the Ruff Ryders ran like Traditional MCs do. As you know from being from the city, anyone can cop a knockoff RR vest. We had a Cease and Desist against that and I was told to get at dudes we saw wearing our Vests unauthorized. Well, we ran up on like 4 young cats with vests on and my brother and I just asked about their Chapter, etc. politely. They actually got hostile and we had to put hands on them for trying to gang up on us! Well, at the end, I had 4 “confiscated” RR vests. After that, my President gave me and my Brother “Bodysnatcher” mini lower rockers to put under our front RR patch. That was just for those that earned/deserved it for defending the club. #GHOSTIN!
If your brother is in bad straits, if he is down on his luck in any way and you know about it and you can help him, help him. Most people in general are proud and may not want to lay their problems out but if you suspect that your brother is doing bad and you can do something to help him and lift him up, do it. Of course, he has to be a man and stand on his feet but if you can aid him in any way, stand by him. You never know if you get in a bind that he won't return the same kindness you showed him.
This is stuff that is taught when Prospecting with a club. Its a important time that your sponsor is supposed to teach you the club values and how to hold yourself.

That's good advice for more than just bikers. It's possible to be completely innocent, talk to the cops, and end up saying something that turned you into a suspect for a crime you didn't commit. Just don't be belligerent about not talking to them. What I mean is if you get an attitude about your rights, you can end up being locked up for 72 hours just because you pissed off the cops with attitude. In the MC world, it doesn't hurt you to be polite about asserting your rights with the cops, and if you piss them off, it can bring the heat down on your brothers and/or sisters. I'm not saying to be a little bitch with the cops, just don't be an annoying bitch with them.

I ride solo and always will and don’t rock any 1% stuff or other club type stuff but my patches on my vest much like my bike represent who I am and what I’m about
I do the same. I go as far to ride alone that if any MC club or group comes up behind me I will pull to the side of the road and wait for them to pass. So I am not in their way.
I rock a club inspired cut with patches. Maybe corny to some but it represents my style well. I don’t have an MC patch and don’t pretend to be in a club. Honestly its a fashion choice that fits my lifestyle. Nobody has ever acted in a negative way towards me in regards to my style.

The patches and other stuff was usually purchased at the shows. It was more to show that we were really there. I never really understood how closely we did emulate the mc culture and was allowed to get away with it.

Brother you definitely hit some major points and although I will stress both times that I wore my vest and patches I was part of a social club not an MC club but the rules apply across the board I think one very important rule that most people don't take seriously in the culture is that THOU SHALT KNOW AND BE KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT YOUR BYLAWS I believe it is the sacred foundation of the club be it OMC, MC , AC, or SC you need to know your history what your patch represents how the club started and what is important you did cover alot I can admit that I made a huge regrettable mistake in my first club talking badly about my brother (which years later I did ask for forgiveness) thinking that I was in the right when I was just learning in my second club i wont ever repeat that mistake I honor my last club til the death of me and I owe my life as a whole to all the brothers and sisters they understand my life and where my head and heart is and although I made mistakes as a dedicated sister I'm happy that my last and only family understand and loves me with my flaws and for that I will always honor my patch...but as well I'm glad u pointed out pillow talking the same goes for women in MC AC or SC I would not ever say anything that goes on in church or when I'm out with the team it just wasn't even touched upon with the partner I had at the time I kept everything super separate and just because thier in another club doesn't mean you pillow talk then because it causes conflict between both clubs when vital information is shared.... I have seen clubs fix a brothers crashed bike before. Having it ready for when he gets well.

Brother you definitely hit some major points and although I will stress both times that I wore my vest and patches I was part of a social club not an MC club but the rules apply across the board
I think one very important rule that most people don't take seriously in the culture is that
THOU SHALT KNOW AND BE KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT YOUR BYLAWS
I believe it is the sacred foundation of the club be it OMC, MC , AC, or SC you need to know your history what your patch represents how the club started and what is important you did cover alot I can admit that I made a huge regrettable mistake in my first club talking badly about my brother (which years later I did ask for forgiveness) thinking that I was in the right when I was just learning in my second club i wont ever repeat that mistake I honor my last club til the death of me and I owe my life as a whole to all the brothers and sisters they understand my life and where my head and heart is and although I made mistakes as a dedicated sister I'm happy that my last and only family understand and loves me with my flaws and for that I will always honor my patch...but as well I'm glad u pointed out pillow talking the same goes for women in MC AC or SC I would not ever say anything that goes on in church or when I'm out with the team it just wasn't even touched upon with the partner I had at the time I kept everything super separate and just because thier in another club doesn't mean you pillow talk then because it causes conflict between both clubs when vital information is shared.... Sose The Ghost How do you feel about types of bikes everyone rides? I know there are different clubs that don’t respect certain bikes like sport bikes, anything foreign made or anything under 1000cc. Then you got the people that are all about two wheel life no matter what.

Not a real position
Every family does things their way, if that’s a position in your club then it’s a “real” slot. But in most, it’s not a recognized position.
I'm a minister who rides, I'd just guess that chaplain was something that's needed in a club. But I don't personally hang out with clubs so what do I know 🙂
