I actually like that they included rev lights on the wheel, yeah its a bit weird seeing them on a semi truck wheel BUT them diesel engines are very quiet and to me at least its very hard to know where their rev limit is just by the sound, so those lights can help a lot. Yeah you can always take a look at the dashboard but I think we all prefer to be looking at the road ahead when driving
The TSW wheel is a great addition to their ecosystem but the mount is extremely underrated. It adds the realism to not only truck sims but street car sims.
As a long time sim racer. I couldn’t imagine coming home from driving 6 to 8 weeks over the road in an actual semi, to going right back to work in simulation lmao. Btw, the faux leather is lore accurate😂. All joking aside the wheel does look awesome and is comparable to the wheel I use in my 2023 Freightliner Cascadia
its weird to say but as a trucker. driving on the sim after driving irl is the best way to relax 😅🤣 it shouldnt be but it is one of the best ways to "get away" frm the stress at work
As someone that is in both Trucking and Simracing worlds I am really excited for this. Great for people that do both but Ive always had the view that if you only do trucking sims a DD wheel is a bit overkill, I get the extra detail but I see it as a simracing thing more than a trucking thing or that could just be me. One day when I have some expendable income I will upgrade to a DD in the form of Moza but for now I can be jealous admiring this and drive my T300 RS in the meantime.
I’m having a full high end racing rig with a Simucube 2 pro and Heusinkveld pedals etc. Never played truck sim before but this solution is so cool I will buy a Moza wheelbase with that clamp, the wheel and the upcoming indicators! I’ll build a full truck rig and start driving trucks, I’m super pumped for that! A 8-10nm must be more than enough for a truck sim that has heavily supported power steering which makes the steering very light! I’ll get one of those 18 gear splitter shifters too! I’m so looking forward to building that on somewhat of a budget! It’s great getting a full eco system at the price of a regular high end wheelbase!
I'm a truck driver. I would love to get my hands on one of these, since, after becoming ill, I can no longer drive trucks. My crappy G29 isn't cutting the mustard for truck sim. It does fine for simracing, but I barely use it for that since I'm basically dying. Also, that wheel looks like they took inspiration from the Daimler corporation's designs. The Freightliner Cascadia P4 (I've driven like 6 different P4's) and the Mercedes Actros have a very, very similar looking design.
Personally, I am not too worried about the outer feel of the wheel as I would actually put a real vehicle wheel wrap on this one along with a turning knob as I did with my HORI farming simulator wheel. I am so getting this one. Very excited. Tanks for the vid.
The wheel is a little out of my price range at this time, but the bracket at just $50 has definitely got my attention. Might look into the base. Thanks for peaking my interest. Great video but certainly not a Truck Sim tutorial on how to drive a truck. 🤣
@ Mike. Not sure if you have this ATS Mod installed or know about it, but Pro Mods has a BC Road Map for ATS that covers the entire lower mainland, Delta/Coquitlam area, the interior & I believe about as far as the Kelowna Area & Burns Lake. Check it out if you haven't already. It's well done actually. Cheers
Yes Mr SimRacing604 - I can totally understand that this is a (to quote you) "Friday Night, Grab a Beer" type game - but judging by THIS @ 19:48 - maybe drink that beer AFTER? the game... ;P
would love to buy it but, you NEED to get an base with it and they aint cheap nor is the wheel, kinda my downfall there but i can understand its quality for both wheel and base!
I want one ! but I will not order thru Moza directly, 59$ US for shipping plus duties from DHL...OUCH ! I am in Montreal so I guess I will wait for Advanced Sim Racing to get them...:( unless you would sell it to me along with the bracket Mike ? :)
truck sims are complex, the idea of ets and ats is to optimise the money making, fuel economy, understand what chassis is most suitable for certain trailers. using the right instruments at the right time, its far from going from A to B and driving at 55mph.
How guick is it to take the bravket off and remount the base? I want this setup, but the 0 degree setting will put my cs wheel in my lap and probably in my chest too. If it isnt a hassle to swap i might do it. Otherwise i have to rebuild my whole setup
Shame they couldn't get a stick on there for the retarder (okay, and for the wipers and turn signals). I use a spinny thing for the retarder at the moment, but the benefit of a stick is you can feel what position it is in.
Is the bracket stable enough to use for racing sims? It would be great if you can just adjust the angle easily between truck sims and racing sims. Also, does the R16 fit in the bracket?
Yeah, the R16 fits. Thats what I used here. I would say that there is potential that this bracket flexes too much for day to day racing for my liking. Especially with an R16.
If you use WMR and own the HP reverb or like me the Samsung Odyssey stay away from windows 11. Just did a clean install windows 10. WMR runs like crap on 11and Microsoft discontinuing WMR or already have. It was a nightmare on 11. I thought it was my 4090!
Naw, just laziness on my part. I could have raised the wheel plate higher. I didn’t want to adjust it because I planned to go back to my standard gear immediately after this video
Not too bad. There are lock washers and so you can just loosen the bolts and they’ll hold the base in place. You can then adjust the angle and tighten the bolts again.
@SimRacing604 one more thing. Did you notice is the bolts on top of the mount lined up with pre drilled holes on base plates on your rig? Or would line up with some?
This is built to mimic a truck wheel. Look at real truck wheels and you find a lot of plastic. Not all wheels are made with carbon fibre and LCD screens. Why do people have to be nit picky about a single purpose wheel.
ok now race with this wheel and show your dominance to other drivers
I’m trying to think of a clever analog to “no replacement for displacement”. There’s no greater parameter than wheel diameter?
@@SimRacing604 The bigger the rim, the better the sim!
@@EmoDKTsuchiya winner!
Ah, truck racing. Raceroom is calling for you xD
They are adding indicators to this wheel too! That's the bonus that's getting released soon.
let's see how much it will cost....
@@jakobhermann6475my guess is $199. They are pretty good at keeping costs down.
Probly 200 bucks is my guess. At least
Another use for the bracket might be for those who like to use sprint cars and dirt cars, as I know some of those cars have a slanted wheel as well
I actually like that they included rev lights on the wheel, yeah its a bit weird seeing them on a semi truck wheel BUT them diesel engines are very quiet and to me at least its very hard to know where their rev limit is just by the sound, so those lights can help a lot.

The wheel looks quite similar to the one on the Mercedes trucks, i presume you can also use it for bus simulator as well

That's great you have this review up! Thanks!
I only saw this at an expo befors Christmas and never thought they would release it this soon! Amazing!!

Would like to see an American truck style wheel. I like the bracket though.

19:24 Excuse me sir, have you been drinking this evening?
Great Video, thank you! For 356 US (website) does it come with the base?
usefull for some 80's cars in AC!! ;)
I would've liked to see actual turn signal and headlight stocks. I think THOSE would have really set it apart from a 300mm wheel.
Have a look at the SimPit’s review…
That will be an addon coming later this year
That would be awesome for a Sprint Car sim if the truck mount were stable enough.

We need an AMS2 truck racing vid now
Beautiful. How does a 16in wheel feel on the r12?
Looks awsome
forget Formula wheels, this should be logitech's first aftermarket rim for the Pro
What the truck?

I believe it would, but best to get spec sheets for both products and compare the bolt alignment.

Doing great. Thank you for checking on me. Just in the middle of upgrading the studio. I hope to be back to regular content by next weekend.

This will also work with Farming Simulator😂😂😂😂

Ridiculous price. G29 is more than enough for ATS/ETS. Unless you need a DD wheel base for other games, don't sweat on this.
