  • Hello and welcome to my latest tutorial.
To make this pendant you will need -
    • 0.8mm wire (20g), 4 x 12" (30cm)
    • 0.315mm weaving wire (28g) 100cm (I wind mine onto a bobbin, but you can cut lengths as you go if you prefer)
    • Teardrop cabochon, approx 23mm by 18mm (you can use a different size, just remember to adjust wire length and weave repeats accordingly)
    • Small cabochon, 5mm
    • bead, 3 x 2mm
I no longer put links to tools on here.
    The tools I use are:
    • Tronex needle nose pliers
    • Tronex short round nose pliers
    • Tronex razor flush cutters
    • Beadsmith flat nose nylon jaw pliers
    • Occasionally I use tronex bent nose pliers
    • Occasionally I use heavy-duty wire cutters
    • Occasionally I use xuron needle nose pliers
    • Bobeeze bobbins (medium size with no extra weights)

Easy to follow and beautiful when done. An instructor who shows us what it can look like and encourages us to try. Thankyou. I've been wire wrapping for years. Still live by the mantra: You don't grow old. You're old when you stop growing. 😍 And btw, ladies don't snore, we breathe heavy.😊

If you imagine your peace first in the form of a sketch, it may be fun and interesting to watch it go from paper to finished piece.

Ok 👍 I usually have a very rough idea of the shape, I'll share a few sketches, that's a great idea 👍 thanks 💕

What a beautiful pendant and amazing tutorial once again. I love that you add the close caption for people who need it. I’m just trying to save you a little work in the editing by mentioning that at the top of the video there is a CC Button. Sometimes it takes a couple of hours to have the captions but they are there for all videos. I just thought I’d mention it just in case people don’t know about it.

Oo ok, thank you 👍. It's a new feature in my video editor and it did it instantly with very few errors, I thought it may be useful and was waiting for feedback on it 😁 thank you

The program did an amazing job, I was really impressed with it. If it was not extra work then I think it’s brilliant. It appeared to be a lot of extra work and I was just trying to save you some time. Also, I don’t think a lot of people know about the close caption button at the top of the video, and I was just trying to help anybody who needed it because it’s an option on all videos not just yours. Thank you again Kelly for such a beautiful tutorial. I truly enjoy your videos and your Etsy tutorials.

Oh yes absolutely 👍 I've tried the closed caption before on my videos and sometime I speak a bit quick or a bit quiet and the captions are a bit crazy 😅 funny though 😅 On my earlier ones I used to sit there and type it all in, nightmare.

How do you start with completing straight wires. I know using the wire straightener. I still have a hard time getting them to be all nice and tidy. LOL! I guess it takes practice.

    • @KellyJonesJewellery
      @KellyJonesJewellery  Год назад

Straighten them out with nylon pliers before you cut the wires, (so if your wire is on the roll, straighten out the wire while on the roll then cut it) rubbing your fingers along the wire to warm it a little sometimes helps too. Also it depends on the hardness of your wire, try and buy soft or dead soft, hope that helps 👍
