This is actually the best comparison video I’ve seen and best of all there was no blabbing! In a few of the shots I can see how much better the dynamic range is on the Mavic 3. I can see the details in the shadows but in the other drones it’s very dark

Air 3 is doing amazing dynamic range and sharpness.
The Air 3 takes home the bronze medal. That's quite an accomplishment, given the strong competition. DJI can be proud of all 4 drones.
What bronze medal?? At least silver. In general it can not beat the mavic 3pros sensor size but otherwise it looked the scharpest with really ce image and colors.
Agreed. Of course, this kind of quick and dirty comparison doesn't really prove anything, but it's useful nonetheless. I'm only guessing, but I would guess that Pilot Institute left everything on Auto in the interest of fairness. If so, then the Mavic 3 wasn't shown at its best because they didn't take advantage of the variable aperture, and the range of aperture/shutter speeds/ISO combinations that unleashes. Then again, each of the cameras has instances where it isn't shown at its best. Some clips were overexposed, some were underexposed, and one was not quite focused. But again, the video is useful because anyone with an experienced photographer's eye can compare the properly exposed clips to evaluate them, regardless of whether they're from the same sequence. Then again, you'll get someone who looks at the not-well-focused clip and then asserts that a different model "looked the scharpest (sic)"
@@geezerpleasers_OG Good points. And again, it's not a slam at Pilot Institute for the quality of the clips. We'd all love to see a comparison where they found a group of expert videographers or photographers, gave them each a set of all four drones, told them to create their best versions of what the drones are capable of, and then showed us the results. But that's way beyond the scope of a quick comparison like this, and the time and resources it would require to do a comparison at that level.
link me the video where the air 3 takes the bronze medal. from what i can see in this video the air 3 at least has silver if not gold considering the price in comparison to the mavic 3 pro

Looks like the Air 3 was equal to the Mav 3 in dynamic range. Great sharpness.
2:14, the details on Air 2S, the mountains look much better, the Air 3 seems to overexpose a bit and it is little sharpened. Mavic 3 looks very balanced and subtle.
At 3:06 looks like Air 3 is more colorful & sharp. Peace

We will have more footage. We were pressed for time to collect more because of travel.
As I state below, you rank this as such: Relationship skills 1st, service to the customer 2nd, filming skill 3rd, post skills 4th and MP3, MA3, MPM3 drones all in the same spot .... 5th. Differences in these drones is nothing relative to mastering the first 4. Learn you customer, have him trust you, and you already won the drone war before it ever started.
I was thinking the Air 3 looked better until 2 minutes in where it starts to look almost out of focus. ?

I currently own the M2P. It's a pretty good drone still, but one big pain is the *ss is the adjustable focus. I can't count how many times I got home and realized that I forgot to adjust the focus and the videos/images came out blurry! Why can't they keep the focus to infinity. For goodness sake, it's a drone, it films landscape. There is no need for manual focus or even adjustable focus. Keep it on infinity or at least AF. I really contemplate selling it and getting a different drone because of it. is the focus on the mavic 3 also adjustable? what about the new Mavic Air 3?
Auto focus no good?
I have this on my M2P and you sometimes didn't notice until you got home that the footage was blurry. Since getting Mavic 3 I haven't had the issue. That aside, M2P is still a great drone with a great camera, and flies smoother than most other DJI drones.
It may help to auto focus for a moment, perhaps touching a point on the screen, then switch to MF.

Close isn't it! Of these the Mavic 3 looks marginally best, then Air 3. But the Mavic 3 footage is a bit warm.
To me unless you are making money off of your photos they are Not that much difference for your recreational droner. I am now just looking for what the drone can do with safety, range, time and different flight options like tracking, waypoints etc. And Price.
The differences are nothing relative to the filming and post skills of the operator, never mind about their relationship skills with the buyer. Never enough critical coverage of this stuff. Just buy the Air 3 if you need a new drone, forget flushing your money down the commode on a MP3. Take the savings and get some post training.
@@mike_in_helsinki I kind of agree, but if you are a (static) photographer and sell prints/framed pictures up to A1 size then the Mavic 3 sensor enables far better editing. If you are a professional making money from your drone for this purpose I would go Mavic 3 every time, but if you just want really good videos and generally good pictures the Air 3 is the one to buy.
So it's a mini 3 pro with an extra camera for 430 more. I'm not sure that extra camera is worth that much more
No my friend. the technology it uses are newly generated stacked sensor which was introduced this year. while it is the same size, the sensor takes in pixel and light faster with lesser file size than the normal cmos sensor in the mini 3 pro hence why you will get way better night video closer to the quality of the mavic 3.
With the new stacked sensor, sensor size are as important anymore. the future drone will be bright if they develop a 4/3 stacked sensor on mavic 4. im sure the quality will be closer to a full frame quality.
@@zefe3886Hah what load of bs. It will never be even close to the dynamic range, low light performance and real resolution of a full frame sensor.
@@solodagci Though it won't be as good as a full frame sensor, but it will come close to it. 1/1.3 cmos bsi stacked sensor already beats standard 1" cmos sensor in all aspects. Sony are slowly introducing stacked sensors to all sensors. So i would expect 4/3 bsi stacked sensor to perform better than cmos apsc or gets near to full frame quality. Then again they will introduce bsi stacked sensor for full frame as well.

@@solodagci i've sony a7iv camera and mini 3 pro with 1/1.3'' , images and video quality of mini 3 pro comparing to Sony files is a big joke. Dji sensors are a few decades behind sony FF sensors. Even photos look like water painting at %100 view, a big joke. And the lens on the mini 3 pro, air 3 are made of plastic, not even glass, colors, details are just shitty, sharpness is not there, what we see here is extremely sharpened outputs.

I can't wait to see your camera torture tests on this with the air2s vs the air3 (vs mavic 3 maybe ?) I've seen some videos/photos that still favor the air2s because of the 1" sensor. The dynamic range is good, however, I've noticed jagged edges on the air3 and I just think they should have included a 1" (possbly a 1/1.3" 3x still) sensor as the main shooter. I'm also not super keen on a new battery every generation. I really hope DJI starts standardizing on those because the mavic 3 batteries are ridiculously priced. There is literally no way I'm willing to spend that much on batteries (I have 8 for the air2s to keep a rolling charge). Here's my prediction, they will do the same thing with the air3s. same body / battery just to say they did it, and then when all the 4 lines come out they will change the battery chassis again. This honestly needs to stop. Make a battery chassis through all of the drone lineup. Sure, sell the better batteries with better technology, but at least allow previous owners to upgrade the body. That, and they really need to start being proactive about their SDKS. If you do any sort of flight automation the SDK is critical. Currently only the mavic 3 enterprise has an SDK (but not the rest of the mavic 3 lineup -- so dodgey) I'm just a hobbyist. I scan things because I'm a tech artist working at a video game company, and scanning is a hobby to produce 3d models. I don't need an enterprise drone, but a better camera improves my results, so I'm always looking out for the next tool that can do the job better.

Not really. same size, yes. but new technology stacked sensor which will get it closer to the quality you get from 4/3 sensor. Especially in low light.
no - you can clearly see the difference between stacked sensor and the mini 3 pro sensor. only sensor SIZE is the same.
First place mavic 3 Classic second place. Air 2s 3 Place air 3. In some pictures the air 3 looks brighter but 2s Looks More sharper I returning my air 3 I don't like the camera. Waiting for the. Air 3s Thank you for the video.
