- Before starting the Célé Variant, I made a little detour to Rocamadour-and it was absolutely worth it! This medieval village, perched on a cliffside, is one of France’s most breathtaking and spiritual places. 🏰✨
In this episode:
🚆 Taking a train for a short break from walking
🏰 Exploring the legendary streets of Rocamadour
⚔️ Discovering the legend of Durandal, Roland’s mythical sword
🌙 Ending the day with some well-earned rest at a gîte
The next morning, it was back to Figeac to start the next leg of the journey along the Célé Valley. But this stop? Completely unforgettable. 💫

What a fully loaded small town to explore. It is so pretty and so full of history and so so so for many many reasons. This Camino route may take much longer to finish because of all those pretty sites to explore.
@@markszeto1564 that was exactly the case. At some point along the Camino I realized that I wouldn't have enough time to finish it with all these detours (there will be more along the way).
I did the camino from Figeac to Rocamadour and before you arrive there you pass a nice valley with a small river and is very beatiful. From Rocamadour to Cahors you have a nice part as well before reach Vers (one of my best from beginning). Is like you go into a enchanged forrest.
