There is so much confusing information out there today it’s hard for people to sort through everything. I often buy a supplement only to find out it is not effective if I take it with something else. Cooking them (lightly steam them) however takes the Oxalates out and then they don’t block absorption. Nutrition is complicated and medical doctors get about 8 hours of it in medical school, why? Because it doesn’t make money if it’s natural. No profit, no interest.

They're fat soluble. Take them together or separate, but make sure there's a little bit of fat available in the capsules or meal. In regards to oxalates, they're terrible. You can add calcium to possibly minimize their toxicity, as cooking does not* eliminate most of them, but it's best to minimize your consumption of foods with them in your diet. Also, supplement with vitamin b7 (biotin). It (likely) enables your cells / genes to properly detoxify oxalates (in manageable amounts) if you have certain genetic mutations that slow or disable that function.
I have started with a Vit D3/ K2 liquid! 2 drops twice daily in a drink, we'll see if it's satisfactory ! That stuff isn't cheap! But it supposed to have 145 drops ,so that should last 35 days or so!

Hello I was wondering if you can answer a question? I had a heart valve replacement. I am now on Warfarin for the rest of my life. In order to maintain a theraputic I.N.R. number, I'm forced to eat a green salad everyday because it has vitamin K in it. I'm told to not avoid vitamin K completely, rather consume it on a consistent basis. I already take vitamin D3 and was thinking about adding vitamin K2 as you state but I don't know if K2 also counter acts the Warfarin? Or are they different in that way?? I am having osteopenia with two major fractures and one meniscus broken and operated. My bones were too much weak. Vitamin k1 comes from vegetables and can clot the blood, That's why a lot of times if you're on a blood thinner your doctor will tell you to try to stay away from vegetables

I read the study that I shared above and I choose to take vitamin D3 with my first meal each day at 2pm, and I take vitamin K2 MK7 at my least meal at 7pm. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis at 35. I take vitamin D, Vitamin K, and creatine. I either paddle surf or lift weights each day. As of my last bone density scan a few months ago, I no longer have osteoporosis and now am into the osteopenia range. Hopefully by the time I am 50 I will be into positive numbers.

Is warfarin a blood thinner? If so, it’s vitamin K1 that helps the blood to clot. So you don’t want to take that one.

Vitamin K2 does not affect blood clotting. Don’t confuse it with vitamin k1 which does affect the clotting of blood.

K2 must be in the trans isoform. Most supplements are in the cis isoform or combined cis/trans isoform. The cis isoform is toxic :(

Ive hard they have to be taken 4 hours appart because they compete over absorption in the body when taken together @same time

I only use lichens or irradiated mushrooms as my D3, as colecalciferol depletes magnesium dramaticaaly
You’re right . I experienced hypercalcemia from taking D3 for only about a week and got kidney stones . I believe you’re correct about it depleting magnesium too

Synthetic D2 is more dangerous than synthetic D3.
