A detailers worst enemy to giving out free detailing services. For starters a detailers enemy can be going the 10 miles for a client trying to strive for perfection. My experience, I get tips from people that don’t know me. People that know me and brag about how good the work is don’t tip at all, but then want other stuff done!!!
I feel the same way some of my peers I go to for some advice are in a different state or many cities over. Maybe they don’t want to help out the “competition “ thanks for dropping in 👊🏽

hello! i have been thinking about starting a detailing business for a while now. im only 15 and have been detailing my parents cars alot. i just bought my first car almost a month ago and all i do is detail it. i love cars and would love to make them clean for other people. thank you this video really helped me!

Yeah some times it’s like that. One time someone came up to me offering me $100 for a full clay and buff with interior cleaning steamed and shampooed 😅

People really don't understand how laborious it is to wash/ detail a car.. if they would detail their own car I guarantee their price would be high..." Respectfully " : not unbelievably......They pay you less for work that deserves more pay.. detailing is physical service that is very much strenuous on the body...
Yes unfortunately in this industry they are people offering $25-$30 washes that don’t stay long in business. They always tell me “I had a guy charge me way cheaper” but where did he go ? It is a lot of physical labor and time thank you for chiming in 🙏🏽
Never free. Use the word discount on an invoice.

@@m3finish sorry for the short answer. If you itemize it as say a 25 dollar paint sealant, but then have a discount line item, you can write it in as weekly special or something. The customer just thinks they got lucky and is super happy but knows what the actual cost might be next time if they ask for it, rather than just expecting it for free.
The water spot lady if she reviewed you on google or even where ever you could respond to the bad review with a link or showing your after photos saying something like car detail on this date shown on my Instagram clearly shows no water spots, we use deionized water which does not leave water spotting and unfortunately parking next to something like sprinklers would have given you this issue. That way you can show potential customers that read you bad review what the issue was. You could then reach out to her and ask her if she could change the review and if you were to give any freebies then say you add a free water spot remover with her next exterior. - as that can take some time doing that, that is if she change the review. But to be honest if people are unaware and you explain to them why it was caused and how a negative review can affect your business then most good people …. Should change it

I'm in a Facebook group so people normally drop their knowledge there too as all different kind of situations have arisen, so always a good reference before doing something. I hate people taking advantage of hard working guys. Anyway when something happens we learn how to deal with it effectively the next time. keep up the good work and videos.
Does that EZ detail brush scratch the rims?
It can if you don’t take the right steps before you clean the wheels. Always pre soak the wheel and rinse then clean the wheel with preferred chemicals
