    I think for indie film makers, this light will be a life saver. For the price, you are literally getting two lights in one. Sure, there's a slight drop in brightness compared to its brother, 300d ii, but it brings versatility to your light kit by providing the daylight and tungsten sources together. This is definitely on my list of lights to get.

    Lot's of information packed into your 10 minutes. I have one arriving via UPS tomorrow so I hope I find myself as enthusiastic about the 300x as you are about yours.

    For this budget range, would you get (one 300X) or (two 60x)? I already have an Amaran 100x. Shooting video indoors.

    My 300x was delivered today. Dead on arrival. The controller box won’t power on at all. Brilliant quality control.

    If there is video talking about application of bi color light, that would be great.

    Hey man, great videos. I am looking to buy the Nanlite 60 or the 300 watt version. Can you make a video about those lights? There is currently a promotion going on in the Netherlands when you buy the 300 Watt version you get the 60 Watt version for free.

      I've seen nothing but great reviews on the Nanlite. It is more color accurate and even have more output than their Aputure counterparts, so if you get a 300 with a promo of the 60 for free, then that's a super killer deal that I wouldn't pass up on. Where Aputure wins is their sidius link, so if you're like me there are many benefits to staying in the ecosystem since I own a lot of their stuff. But you can't go wrong with either brand, but I'd definitely take that Nanlite promo without hesitation imo. Crazy deal, wish they had that in Canada

    I bought 1 about 6 months ago, and I want to buy 2 more. It's the fourth one that I am unsure about; it will either be a 300x or a 300d ii.

      Is the 300x bright enough to light interview subjects if you push it through two layers of diffusion in their light dome?

    • @mathewcoulliette2233
      @mathewcoulliette2233 2 года назад

      @@daltonrandall4348 I don't understand the question. I use it with an Elinchrom Rotalux Octabox (135cm / 53"). I usually use it with a grid on it, and I still have plenty of light to light my subject or the scene. Aputure keeps coming out with more powerful lights, but for me 3 of these (300x) is perfect for 3-Point-Lighting. I am currently planning on buying 2 Aputure 1200x Pro's to shine in the windows, because you need more power to simulate the sun. The 1200x will be able to simulate the sun, a street light, or moonlight without using gels.

      If you'd like to light it directly overhead, I'd highly recommend getting a C-stand for that.

    I do like the lights, but not the service. Watch out! I have experienced that Aputure is not a pro company. The level of service you will get from companies like Canon, Adobe, Arri, which you rely on being a pro filmmaker just lacks enormously with Aputure. I bought the LS C300D II and after a couple of months, I contacted them after having wrecked the power supply cable. They insisted (I have the emails to show for this) that I contacted the local dealership, which I did and then followed a, now two months, period where nothing happens. I cant use my very expensive light. I keep contacting the dealership who tells me they are looking into how to price the cable and Aputure who tells me I have to buy it through the local dealership, but they have no asking about a cable from the dealership. Now I have bought a copy cable on AliExpress to get the 300 back up and running. But Aputure is not working or acting like a pro company. So I guess it´s back to real pro lights like Arri or the like.
