Henry Fambrough was about 79 here since he's 84 now and he moved great but I heard alot of clunkers in the backing vocals. This is a shell of the classic 70's lineup with either Phillipe or John Edwards.
I went to a club in Oakland California called Ivy’s with some friends from a different group. Star ⭐️ was the Incomparable Phillipe “soul” Winn formerly of the Spinners. He had finished his show and was singing and greeting people in the club, walking through the crowd with a microphone And singing his hits, suddenly he dropped! Heart attack, he died that night.😪

Anyone who expects them to sound in 2017 just like they did in 1975 is clearly not dealing with reality. They were fine for what it was. The real disappointment was at the end, 2 of their greatest hits had most of the verses tossed out and what they sang barely resembled the songs. They sang just the first verse of Rubberband Man and nothing else. They sang 1:15 of a song that in its radio version was over 4 minutes, let along the full 7+ minute album version. I could have lived without all the dancing around with rubber bands for them to sing more of the actual song. Just really poor choices.

The group, which still tours actively, consists of Henry Fambrough (the only surviving original member), C. J. Jefferson, Jessie Peck, Marvin Taylor and Ronnie Moss.
Well, at least musicians get to play the old classics, but these 70's groups that we know so well basically don't exist anymore. They're not like sports teams where you just keep bringing up singers from the minor leagues....

Henry said in interviews that Bobby told him to keep the group going. Bobby was ill at the time, but he wanted the group to live on. Many of the old groups are still singing with just one remaining member. This Spinners group is still touring everywhere to large crowds. Audiences still remember the songs of the original group and want to remember them because the performances bring back wonderful memories.
I have tickets to see the current Spinners group in Florida in January 2022. I hope the the guy who is singing the lead in most of the songs in this concert is not with them. He is constantly out of tune on every song. Please have a different lead in January, Henry.
