Large enough to swallow a mammoth sounds like propaganda if I ever heard it. The skulls is still 4ish M tall easily 1.5 if not 2x the size of Drogon as we last saw him.
That skull is kept in that room for hundreds of years, dusty and old, just like regular human bones, much fragile. But, even with that condition, the scorpion can only pierce as deep only the small tip of the arrow. And by the end of season 8, even Drogon isn't an adult yet. Had Dany wait a bit longer..

I'm a Potato didn’t Vhagar grow to be almost the size that balerion was and bigger than Meraxes? Also I think the “covers cites with his body” was definitely an exaggeration...This skull is probably already 3 times the size of drogons head in terms of height, width and length meaning it’s volume is a whopping 27 times bigger than drogon...

Yeah a lot hard to hit a moving target. Especially one that is capable of flying. Ballistas aren't really known for their accuracy. They're more sort of point and shoot weapons at fortifications and massed infantry. You can't really adjust the aim and then fire it. Take too long to adjust. By he time you have you'll target will have moved. Unless you can someone manoeuvre it into an ambush spot. Of course the rules of the narrative mean that it'll be more accurate than a world class sniper with a modern sniper rifle. Probably magic, right....

Valerion The Dragon, I was Mad at one point, for me to disappear. Very important scene. To survive, one stays busy, if one chooses one side, that's it, there is nothing. Cersei had children with her brother, Scar never touched her, Cersei used to drug, once he is in the bed, scar fall asleep. Just stay stupid. There are no difference between Dnaryer and Cersei, they both hunt their circle, if they noticed one friend has chosen a side, that friend won't live for long

Yeah a lot hard to hit a moving target. Especially one that is capable of flying. Ballistas aren't really known for their accuracy. They're more sort of point and shoot weapons at fortifications and massed infantry. You can't really adjust the aim and then fire it. Take too long to adjust. By he time you have you'll target will have moved. Unless you can someone manoeuvre it into an ambush spot.
Of course the rules of the narrative mean that it'll be more accurate than a world class sniper with a modern sniper rifle. Probably magic, right....

Why even test it on the skeleton? The skeleton of dragon isn't what makes it so tough its its scales all she did was prove that the weapon operational not that it'll kill or even hurt alive dragons especially considering that when the dragon got hurt in the area it still wasnt fully matured meaning it might not work. She's lucky she isnt dealing with LoTR dragons bc if so that weapon would've bounced right off the dragons scales and her forces would've been destroyed easily.
