2003 Rally of the Lakes

Eugene Donnelly was somewhat unfancied against more experienced rivals in newer machinery on the 2003 Rally of the Lakes but it didn't stop him from trying. Leading, Donnelly started to come under pressure from an overheating engine and a hard charging Austin McHale who managed to reel in Donnelly with just two stages remaining but McHale slipped off the road on the penultimate test, allowing Donnelly to cruise to his second international rally win.
