AZ Tuning in the house!
Killer use of space with a banging system! I never get tired of watching these videos. Thanks Youthman for the entertainment!
Thank you. A new one coming this Saturday
Love seeing someone else with Polk LSIM line for home theater. These speakers are best kept secret from the polk lineup but very hard to find these days
I bought my LSiM 707 mainly for music long before Legend came out. Once L800 came out, I moved mine to my family room home theater. I moved to a new house and now using them in a dedicated home theater!
As a formerTallahasseean, for 20 plus years, I want to Thank you for representing the Seminoles.. Go Noles!!!.. great theater and thank you for sharing it with us
Ha -- You ain't seen nothing yet. There is another theater that will be coming soon on Youthman's channel. You will be impressed, Trust Me!
But thanks for the comment. Always got to rep my Noles >>-|-----|-->
What a nice guy and such a cool home theater, well done!! :-)
Very nice! Thanks for sharing your theater room with us. Much love and respect from Minnesota.
What I got from this is I don't need to turn the volume down, I just need more acoustic treatment. Time to go tell the wife LOL
🤣
Wow! That's audio treatment overkill... BUT I wouldn't have it any different. Nice job! Also, that cubby at the back where all the gear sits is a good use of space.
This was one of the Best episodes yet, great home Theater and a Nice guy the owner,
Glad you enjoyed it. Another one coming on Saturday.
@@Youthman looking forward you do a great job.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
The room looks fantastic Jay! Thanks guys for the shout outs !!
Glad you enjoyed the video Steve. Maybe one day I can make a trip out to film your new Home Theater. That would be fun
@@Youthman that would be awesome Mike!
It's humorously joyful to see car guys being audio geeks too lol.
Glad to chat with you. I think this format of watching your home theater tour w/live chat is great idea.
Thank you. Another one this Saturday
What Jay says about the feeling of spatiality, clarity and being able to listen at higher volumes without feeling any discomfort is absolutely true, I have experienced it in my home theater.
Those recommendations and acoustic design by Anthony Grimani really work very well. Thank you for Sharing
Glad you enjoyed the video
It really blew my mind. I had no idea how big the impact was going to be.
True Jay, the same for me, I also followed Anthony's recommendations, and now I can really enjoy my movies and concerts as they should be, when my daughter tested the sound, she told me " now I can hear much more clearly and impressively, and I don't bothers the ears at all"; Thanks for Sharing your Home Theater.
@@jaywaller9125 Love your theater, man! How did you arrive at the acoustic treatment placement throughout - did you watch videos of Anthony Grimani and follow his general advice, or did you actually hire him to design/calibrate your room?
@@scarridale Yes. Mimicking his design but also worked with Aaron Antunes from AZ Tuning and the Screening Room AV to finalize the AG design. They are the folks that encouraged me to study the Grimani design.
By the way, AZ Tuning did all of my room tuning as well, from the MiniDSP to the full Dirac Live! setup - all 11 channels plus subwoofer.
The room treatment looks cool. Nice space
Great to get the Florida Home Theater Tour underway. Nice theater and a very good interview. It’s great to benefit from all your hard work. Thank you!
Thank you John glad you’re enjoying the videos many more to come
Props again youth for bringing us the videos. Keep up the hard work.
Awesome Polk LSIM setup. I like how you pointed out that the speakers are great for home theater and music. I have LSIM in my family room and basement (former Florida Man). Great work on the treatments. Do a 🪓 for me on game day.
Go Noles!
Go Noles >>|-------|-->
Love everything about the room. Polk👍🏼👍🏼
Super AWEsome... Stay Safe, Be Safe!!!!
another great home theater tour! love his Skyline Diffusion panels
Awesome job Jay!
Fantastic home theater, Jay! You might want to consider six seats instead of eight, to give you more room on the sides and have a center-aligned main listening postion, but I understand wanting to keep them if you need the extra seating. Michael, you covered all the bases here, perfect interview... looking forward to the next one.
I agree with this
Thank you kindly
Definitely something to consider but I'm going to delete the arm rest in the front row which will free up quite a bit of space and give a spot for MLP first. I really want my family of four to be able to watch a movie on the front row.
Love it!! Great job 👏🏻
I love it!! Great choice of speakers! Great ideas for me to try out!
Great theater! Very close in size to my room. Love the attention to detail and the focus on acoustic treatment.
Amazing! I love the room treatments so much!
Such a great theatre! Cool to see what can be done in that size of space especially with the ceilings Ike that!
My 158" @ 2.35 /1 Silver Ticket Screen has been one if not the best bang for the buck in my entire HT system, highly recommended ❤
Awesome to hear!
Awesome thx 4 this phenomenal Home Theatre with these perfect explanation.
Thanks I’m glad you enjoyed the video
Very cool room. I love all the acoustic treatment, not only do they look pretty cool, I bet it makes the room sound phenomenal.
Yes, acoustic treatment play a massive role on how a room sounds
Awesome room! I explain to people that the speakers are just like the strings on a guitar. The room they are in is the body of the guitar.
100% agree
Fantastic Room!
Great video, Michael. Lovely mix of chat and visuals of gear. (Let’s face it - we all like to drool over some tech-sexy gear!).
Looks like a lovely size room. Really nice style. Excellent work, Jay. 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you kindly Dan
I love this type of content. So happy that I found and subscribed to your channel.
Thank you kindly. Glad you’re enjoying the videos and I appreciate you subscribing
Very cool theater setup. Excellent job.
I enjoy these videos, but this was one of my favorites. Great work, and a good pick for a showcase.
Thanks Mike. BTW, great name 👍
Thanks Mike. What a nice comment. Glad you enjoyed it. Youthman is a pro!
Congratulations Jay. Looks like you two had a great time !!!
We had a blast. Jay is a great guy and has a fantastic setup
Thanks Zach and especially for all the guidance, tuning, and product!
Great room, fantastic video !!
Thanks Bill
nice setup..
Love the FSU shirt!
Go Noles! >>|------|-->
Nice room!
Great video and fantastic home theatre!!! Would be great to hear, which acoustic panels made the biggest improvement
I did the Vicoustic Treatments in 2 stages with absorption and 3d Diffusion then 2D diffusion later. Biggest difference was probably from the first stage but even noticed big difference with the 2Ds. Hard to say. Thanks for the comments.
Great video as usual. My theater has a lot in common with his...same set of Polk LSIm speakers and JVC RS2000. Unfortunate I don't see a lot of people with the LSIm range in their home theaters. This one gets my vote!
I just love the LSiM speakers. I even have spares in case something happens to mine.
@@jaywaller9125 haha..my man. I've been looking to source some extras myself. Keep them in the garage just in case. Great speakers...don't get enough credit. Had mines for 6 years and not even thinking about getting something else.
Nice 👍👍
Fanstastic tour! Thanks for sharing this ! I am curious to know how the skyline diffusers were designed ..because they need to designed to diffuse based on the the frequencies ...
The spec's, acoustic measurements for the Vicoustic Expanded Polystyrene Multifuser in the video are available on Vicoustic website.
I can relate, COVID has been hard on the pocketbook. I've changed out every component in my system over the last 2 year except the BluRay player.
Wow! Now that’s some upgrading!
@@Youthman it's only a 5.1 system and I got most everything off of Marketplace. But yes it's been a fun adventure.Very pleased with my updated "theater"
I wonder if using ownes corning is a good idea in areas like this where theres lots of moving air (next to the subs). Maybe denim ultratouch or cellulose would be safer to avoid fiberglass in the air that you might breath in.
Love that theater! Awesome looking space. Love that front speaker stage. That scope screen adapter just plain Rocks, great ingenuity. My acoustic treatments pale in comparison to Dave’s! Hey Dave, Thank You very much for your theater with us viewers!
It's actually Jay, not Dave. But I love sharing my theater with others. Especially since so many people have given me ideas over the years. The masking panel is something that I put off for so long but it's just too easy to make and such an impactful component! Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Youthman, i love your channel man but could you please dedicate a video of Acoustic treatment ? there are so many acoustic panels etc etc where to put them. how to think when u choose a specific panel and why ? would appreciate this
Thank you kindly. I have four or five videos regarding acoustic treatment on my channel. I’m definitely no expert
Here is an older one when I had DIY panels ruclips.net/video/kHKCv9ISN58/видео.html
And here is the first of 5 videos on GIK panels I now have - ruclips.net/video/Y7q6KU-8aFg/видео.html
That should provide you with plenty of information to get you started
@@Youthman thank you man ! bless you
Great video, what would you say is most cost effective sound panel material is inner and outer, my wife sits in next room so trying to minimise the sound leaks through the door etc. happy wife happy life :)
@Youthman Does he have a build thread discussing him HTPC with MadVR? Can you post the link?
All of the madVR set up was done by AZ Tuning remotely.
Sorry, no build thread. Just follow the guide on AVS. AZ Tuning helped with MadVR config.
Great video… love the room for sure…
Maybe I would need to do the math but you said this room is close to the AG recommendations of 15% of direct, absorb and diffuse on each wall?
Overall absorption percentage was about 14.8% and diffusion was closer to 16.7%. That is a percentage of the overall surface area of the walls and ceiling.
The Panasonic has HDR optimizer.Sonething very important on a projector.
NASTY! 👍✌👊💪 Respect ✊ UK
Youthman I am about to upgrade my setup, can you recommend a good source for Home Theater equipment? I’m tired of paying MSRP for my gear. Thanks for your help.
I know a guy. youthmanreviews.com/sales/
The room I'm working with is a similar size with a similar vaulted ceiling etc although I prefer big screens (beyond the recommended ratios) so I'm planning on dropping the screen down lower than this so I can squeeze in a wide scope & I'll rig up motorised masking to the sides to mask down to 16:9.
I like immersive scope as well but it’s not for everyone
@@Youthman absolutely, but for me if I don't have to move my head to see whats going on in the far corners it ain't big enough 😅
Haha. I’m 9’ from 150” in 2.35:1. I completely get it
Thanks Michael for the tour! Great videos as always!
I have a similar room dimensions plus the vaulted ceiling’s. I am also late into treating my room. I am in the process of treating my HT now. Would you have the brand name of those 3D reflection panels?
Who is Steve?
I couldn't quite catch what the orange material was behind the screen. Sound absorption? Name/brand?
Owens Corning 703
@@Youthman how honored I feel to receive a response form you! Thank you, sir. Sound treatments are on my “to do”. Epson 5030ub (LS12000 on order) and Sony HT-A9 combo, and I’m dealing with extra slap in the room and a bit of bass amplification, so I’m thinking bass traps.
You will be surprised how much better your dialogue and overall sound gets once you add treatment. Don’t forget to rerun calibration afterwards.
Saw Sundown Audio under the seats. I’m a big car audio guy, so I’m in…
8 10" SEs in a 6th order tuned to 26hz on 4kwatt. Held 158db at 36hz.
I miss it but don't miss the destruction that came with it lol
@@mephInc on 4k that’s pretty efficient. You’re referring to the re audio SEs?
@@5L_Eater
Hah typo. The sundown SA series
I used the SA12s because I am also a car audio guy (running SA10s in my truck) and they have a ton of excursion which is great for TR!
Can u please share avs ID? Much better to connect there. Also can u share 2D diffuser/3d diffuser products u r using in room. Would like to check it out. On Avs, I'll share my room with u and some of my own ideas.
It looks like Vicoustic Cinema Round Premium Absorber, Cinema Round Ultra Fuser, Expanded Polystyrene Multifuser (Vicoustic also sell a wooden version Multifuser)
Vicoustic website shows all the products. With all the specs acoustic measurements for their acoustic room treatment products.
Bridgeport Connecticut 🇱🇷😎🇱🇷👍😎👍
How about the perfect subs for a spaceship
Nice. Polk Audio all around, just like my theater. The Only thing I’m curious about is the second row. I’d have them on a riser. Is that not possible there, can those people see Clearly over the front row? - ah I see he has a riser coming. Nice 👍🏼
Yes, he mentions it later in the video. He just didn’t get a chance to install the rear riser before I film
They are in my garage waiting on the carpet!
@@jaywaller9125 nice 👍🏼
Why did he say the four subwoofer setup was a .1 instead of .4 ?? I thought the second number was the number of subwoofers just like the 7 in the bed layer or the 4 in the ceiling??
Technically it refers to the channels, not the number of subs. This video will help ruclips.net/video/keYveWd5o_4/видео.html
The 7 and 4 you referred to are the number of channels as well
Top vid youthman....yeah i gotta get some of that sound treatment sorted....when the wife asks youthman...u be getting the blame!!
I get the blame all the time! Blame Jay. LOL
The trick is to use "paintings/art" aka home made panels. She can even pick the pictures so then she'll feel more involved
Good idea
I was surprised when the wife first saw it, she said she actually liked it!
✌
@Youthman What’s Jay’s RUclips Channel? Great room and great video.
Home Theater Gurus
@@Youthman that is Steven Smith. Jay doesn’t have a HT channel :)
Sorry, I Thought he was asking about Stevens
@@Youthman It’s my fault, I got Steven and Jay’s mixed up. I didn’t realize who the Steven was you guys were talking to for part of the video was HT Guru. I’m already subscribed to is channel.
No worries.
Looks like Gramani specs for treatment
It was. Jay discusses it in the video
Anthony knows his stuff
So, after hearing this level of acoustic treatment are you going to be adding more to your setup @youthman ?
No plans other than completely deaden the area behind my screen.
You can tell that’s his signature to a T if you’ve watched a few of his 1-2 hour long vids on the topic. Love it. Guy knows his stuff, no doubt.
What brand is his acoustic treatments
Probably a good idea to watch the video or at least check the description. 😉
@@Youthman I did, but I must have missed it.
@@Youthman he mentioned “AZ Tuning” but I don’t see that in the description. I wasn’t able to find them in a Google search either. Thx!
Description says LFE - AS Tuning. I copied / pasted what Jay sent me
@@Youthman whoops, supposed to be AZ Tuning. Can we update the description?
Is there a link to the Florida discord?
Shoot me an email at info@hometheatertours.com
@@Youthman thanks, sent.
He could even start charging admission .......
Check out the sign at the top of the entry door. It says Admit All! I just wish I could find more buddies to watch with me. I watch many a movies by myself.
Nice. This looks like a bat cave.
Waaay too much acoustic treatment. I can tell this room will sound “dead”. The issue is really too many speakers for too small a room. No amount of room treatment will fix that.
Resist the urge to do 10+ speakers. It’s not needed, and your movies will sound Worse, not better!
The room is anything but dead. I am using 14.8% absorption and 15.7% diffusion. I know it looks like more but the room is anything but dead sounding. It is very live! Would love for you to stop by and hear it with your own ears if you are ever in North Florida.
@@jaywaller9125 Great! Glad you considered both diffusion and absorption. It certainly looks great and I’m sure it sounds great too. Thanks for the offer!
