The Alex Bale Theory: Alex was a main writer of spongebob. He had the idea to secretly make hidden meanings so that years down the road, when the show was losing popularity, he could produce spongebob theory videos to bring it back into the spotlight. He is not credited on any of the episodes, as that would give away everything.
After he finishes the ARG, then he’s gonna start making the stuff from his theories actually happen in new Spongebob episodes to make more people watch the new season. And then it’ll all build up to another SpongeBob movie

The Atlanteans (who are aliens) were betrayed by Poseidon who took their technology and used it against them. Neptune was adopted by aliens and used to kick Poseidon off the throne. There's also an alternate timeline (caused by Sandy) where Poseidon stayed in power 6. Goofy Goobers is actually an alien death cult that uses its vendors as a front to push their agenda and trap people. SpongeBob and Patrick are more than likely already victims 7. Plankton is planning a robot invasion and is kidnapping people to replace with robots. Among his victims are Patrick and a baby. Bikini Bottom just has a lot going on right now
*plot twist* : _Plankton's wife, Karen, is actually the mastermind behind the robot invasion and is secretly tweaking and repurposing all of Plankton's failed inventions to aid her secret plan of total robot domination in Bikini Bottom_
I don't think people realize how scary Patrick being controlled is. This theory not only makes Patrick's story a *Tragedy,* but I believe that Plankton *chose* Patrick, because he is so close to Spongebob. Whereverer Spongebob goes, he is the first to follow. He's not one with society. He does whatever he wants. The idea that Plankton is constantly watching the characters through Patrick just adds a whole new sense of fear to Plankton's character.
For some reason I think that Plankton is Euron Greyjoy (from ASOIAF), in the Drowned God’s watery halls where the ironborn go after they die. Plankton has one eye with a red iris. Euron’s sigil is a red eye crowned by two crows. Plankton wants to take over the world, as does Euron. Both are also closely related to the sea.
I love how Victoria reveals parallels between her and Alex's career with film making and RUclips. She even asks about how his channel is doing and tries to convince him to keep it up knowing she gave him his muse. and then his other friend starts talking about how he hasn't had the same luck as the other two hinting at him getting his muse next.
Just wanted to point this out, in addition to plankton's whirlybrain's & brain coral's controlling mechanisms, he's also controlled spongebob in the first season with a small control panel attaching to the brain in the episode Plankton!, possibly his first prototype in controlling minds, and even in The Spongebob SquarePants Movie, Plankton uses bucket's on the fish's heads similar to that of the Brain Coral that it controls each one into his own army

That’s cool and all, but why should he or would he believe in one guy, the fact is most people aren’t part of his loyal fan base, and most people haven’t even seen one of his films, he shouldn’t make the theories If he doesn’t want to, but it would have a negative effect on his career, why do you think his sponge bob theories have one long story separately placed along all of the theories, so he can expose the people to his films and his skills in a place people actually watch.

He's a film maker, Its not about. being the "SpongeBob Guy" This series is portraying being forced into doing content you don't have a passion for, because people do not want or care for artistic vision, Alex is forced to make theories, as without them and the musse, he would be a noone, and irrelevant
I don’t know if the whole “I don’t wanna be the spongebob guy” thing is entirely genuine, but you have leveraged this whole project into an incredible and delightfully creepy cinematic powerhouse cleverly disguised and doubling as this collection of simple theory essays(which are in and of themselves also excellent) and I just really and truly hope you’re proud of this, just 21 minutes in and I feel like applauding alone in my bedroom. The thing that makes lots of sense with this theory is that in the older seasons there is less robots and robots get used way more in the later seasons

The second brain coral was actually smart enough to realize that spongebob doesnt want the smart patrick, spongebob will keep switching them out no matter what until he is his normal self, the brain coral was acting dumb so he doesnt get switched out. That could be a whole other theory is that patrick is no longer patrick, he is a brain coral controlling his body.
The problem is that Spongebob wouldn't switch them no matter. Like the first smarter patrick wanted to change his own smart head and spongebob even asked him if he is really ok with that beforw he changed his head.

lol, I just commented a damn long multi-paragraph theory about The Tentacle Monster XD and was wondering why no one makes videos about Alex Bale's theories.
Honestly the little movie segments in-between each part is just amazing. You can clearly see you film talent come through with the way in which you structure it so as to build a gripping story which always ends on a suspenseful cliff hanger. Hopefully you can make this a full length film one day, would love to see it.
I didn’t even realize that the anchor fish and Plankton were the same voice actor. This theory definitely didn’t top the Goofy Goober theory or the Mrs. Puff theory but was really fun to watch and really creative. You did theories about Mr. Krabs, Sandy, Mrs. Puff, and now Patrick. I think it is a combo of multiple things such as his life in general, the antics and shenanigans of multiple Bikini Bottom residents, and constantly getting the short end of the stick for no reason for absolutely no reason whatsoever from having a whole grill blow up in his face point blank to the loan of his house being cancelled for indirectly destroying the town due to a faulty security system that attacked him instead of the targets it was designed to attack.

I love how SponserBlock skips all of that worthless tangent and allows me to just watch the video without out-of-place interruptions. From a 30 minute video to 22 minutes. 8 minutes of.. whatever other skit he's trying to add. Seriously. Imagine trying to watch Avatar: The Last Airbender and every 4 minutes there's an out-of-place 3 minute segment of the author trying to get you to go watch his reality comedy-drama slice of life series.

Have to disagree there. They couldn't hold the tension and it was usually cut with awkward monolog and dialog that if they weren't included, would have made it much more bearable. I will admit that people just saying they're trash should be ignored, but they could be better and the constructive criticism should always be taken

It's great that people are finally actually talking about Alex Bale. Before, people would just "wow" or gawk at how "true" these theories are. In actuality, these theories are the works of a film analyst. The art of analysis in film is finding things that aren't actually there, and because he studied film in uni, of course he can construct these "theories" so well. He's good at finding motifs and forming something "real" around them.

If it was the SpongeBob stuff on its own, then, while albeit interesting for the time being, it’d likely get lumped with the other countless theories. If the Muse ARG stuff was on its own, it likely would fail to garner attention and wouldn’t be able to get the message across as effectively.

Any other RUclipsr would see that one specific series of theirs gets more views and only start to make that, but the fact that you were able to turn that into one of the most ambitious and well made ARGs I've ever seen is a stroke of pure genius.

Part of the story is him becoming the Spongebob Guy, and it not having hints at an arg in those first videos enhances that quality of the story, I think. Anyway, idk. I feel like a lot of people are misunderstanding the point of these videos. They’re not “Spongebob theories with horror in between” it’s more like “a horror series that uses the attention grabby Spongebob theories to enhance it’s message”.
I don't think it's as simple as that. The theories are part of the horror story. The monster provides inspiration and strange ideas, which the character uses to gain internet fame.
Every single aspect of this series is incredible and so skillfully done - the intros, the ads, the in-depth coverage, the editing, the clip selection, the ominous creature segments, the stages of grief over becoming the spongebob guy... honestly this showcases so much of your talent in other areas while also being an eye grabber for past and current Spongebob fans and curious algorithm passersby. This isn't a plea to continue down this path, more of a thank you for doing something like this, it reeled me in as part of your audience and now I'm here to stay. Appreciate your time and work!

On season 7 episode 1, squidward asks Patrick "just how dumb are you?" And Patrick answers "it varies". He is consciously aware that he suddenly becomes smart, but then reverts back to his normal self.
At the big plot twist at the end, I realized that my "Alex Bale" theory about the unknown tentacle monster in his basement being a manifestation of the hate, negative comments, and people who want Alex to only post content related to his popular Spongebob Conspiracy may have just gone down the toilet. That said, this was a very interesting and well-made video. Keep up the great work!
As a beginner filmmaker myself who has been interested in video creation and directing for many years now, I really wanted to congrats you on these videos. I truly enjoy your directing style, it's obvious that you know what you're doing at every given moment, and things like the camera placement or the usage of focus really show how confident you're in your skills, which makes for some great results. On top of that, the way you mix the Spongebob theories with the narrative segments to create this metaphor about burnout and your future being radically different to what you've been aspiring toward, it's not only masterfully executed but also incredibly relatable to pretty much everyone who's following an artistic path in their lives. All around, these videos are truly something great and I hope you're proud of them, because you deserve it.

Well yes, but also no. Did you notice how the realistic fish (his name is either T. McTrout or Johnny Elaine according to my research) has a different voice in Mrs Puff flashback/nightmare vision? And not just any random voice, he has the same voice as Perch Perkins. I feel more like either Mrs Puff forgot what the original news anchor fish looked like and mixed him with Johnny Elaine/T. McTrout in her mind, or Plankton did something to the original news anchor fish and replaced him with our favorite realistic news anchor fish. Given this theory, the latter seems more the case..

I don't think people realize how scary Patrick being controlled is. This theory not only makes Patrick's story a *Tragedy,* but I believe that Plankton *chose* Patrick, because he is so close to Spongebob. Whereverer Spongebob goes, he is the first to follow. He's not one with society. He does whatever he wants. The idea that Plankton is constantly watching the characters through Patrick just adds a whole new sense of fear to Plankton's character.
For some reason I think that Plankton is Euron Greyjoy (from ASOIAF), in the Drowned God’s watery halls where the ironborn go after they die. Plankton has one eye with a red iris. Euron’s sigil is a red eye crowned by two crows. Plankton wants to take over the world, as does Euron. Both are also closely related to the sea.

The second brain coral was actually smart enough to realize that spongebob doesnt want the smart patrick, spongebob will keep switching them out no matter what until he is his normal self, the brain coral was acting dumb so he doesnt get switched out. That could be a whole other theory is that patrick is no longer patrick, he is a brain coral controlling his body.
The problem is that Spongebob wouldn't switch them no matter. Like the first smarter patrick wanted to change his own smart head and spongebob even asked him if he is really ok with that beforw he changed his head.

Honestly the little movie segments in-between each part is just amazing. You can clearly see you film talent come through with the way in which you structure it so as to build a gripping story which always ends on a suspenseful cliff hanger. It's great that people are finally actually talking about Alex Bale. Before, people would just "wow" or gawk at how "true" these theories are.
In actuality, these theories are the works of a film analyst. The art of analysis in film is finding things that aren't actually there, and because he studied film in uni, of course he can construct these "theories" so well. He's good at finding motifs and forming something "real" around them.

@@burner680 I’d say the SpongeBob theories and the Muse stuff kind of needs each other to really succeed. If it was the SpongeBob stuff on its own, then, while albeit interesting for the time being, it’d likely get lumped with the other countless theories. If the Muse ARG stuff was on its own, it likely would fail to garner attention and wouldn’t be able to get the message across as effectively.

Alex is known for his Pizza Time Pizza arg tho. It's not unreasonable to think this arg was intended to have a slow role out. Part of the story is him becoming the Spongebob Guy, and it not having hints at an arg in those first videos enhances that quality of the story, I think.
Anyway, idk. Just assumed it was obviously intended to be an arg from the start, but I could be wrong.

Every single aspect of this series is incredible and so skillfully done - the intros, the ads, the in-depth coverage, the editing, the clip selection, the ominous creature segments, the stages of grief over becoming the spongebob guy... honestly this showcases so much of your talent in other areas while also being an eye grabber for past and current Spongebob fans and curious algorithm passersby. This isn't a plea to continue down this path, more of a thank you for doing something like this, it reeled me in as part of your audience and now I'm here to stay. Appreciate your time and work!

At the big plot twist at the end, I realized that my "Alex Bale" theory about the unknown tentacle monster in his basement being a manifestation of the hate, negative comments, and people who want Alex to only post content related to his popular Spongebob Conspiracy may have just gone down the toilet.

As a beginner filmmaker myself who has been interested in video creation and directing for many years now, I really wanted to congrats you on these videos.
I truly enjoy your directing style, it's obvious that you know what you're doing at every given moment, and things like the camera placement or the usage of focus really show how confident you're in your skills, which makes for some great results.
On top of that, the way you mix the Spongebob theories with the narrative segments to create this metaphor about burnout and your future being radically different to what you've been aspiring toward, it's not only masterfully executed but also incredibly relatable to pretty much everyone who's following an artistic path in their lives.
All around, these videos are truly something great and I hope you're proud of them, because you deserve it.

Well yes, but also no. Did you notice how the realistic fish (his name is either T. McTrout or Johnny Elaine according to my research) has a different voice in Mrs Puff flashback/nightmare vision? And not just any random voice, he has the same voice as Perch Perkins. I feel more like either Mrs Puff forgot what the original news anchor fish looked like and mixed him with Johnny Elaine/T. McTrout in her mind, or Plankton did something to the original news anchor fish and replaced him with our favorite realistic news anchor fish. Given this theory, the latter seems more the case..
