Walls between rooms in your home: optional or essential?
Optional
id say you dont really need walls in a house
both
Unnecessary
Optional
I love that the game devs anticipated things like living room toilet, but didn’t anticipate “player who steals all the furniture in the house and puts it in the yard”
they also didn’t expect stacking a bunch of chessboards and shoving them into the neighbor’s house lol
Or sell it 😂😂😂😂
Honestly I love the amount of creative control they've better than the Sims already.
Or the whole locked room thing
@@kittyqueentengu5327 I don't think anyone could've expected that tbh
“I’m moving out” - that first customer must’ve been Grace. She knew things would only get worse
I'm so glad that Grace was finally able to retire her 9-5 job after being stuck in a theme park for 250 years
@@avalon0907it'll be a small respite before she's damned to another prison of Josh's design. It's like a monkey's paw. You're immortal but a three year old in a grown man's body gets to torture you for eternity by making you test his creations.
Jeah or a Karen!
I'd appreciate it if you'd listen to some of the records I've done. Ur honest thoughts on em would mean a lot. Thanks fam and have a great week 🙏🏾❤️🔥
I COULD DEVOUR A BILLY HOG RIGHT SBOUT NOW.
Josh is so gracious, he provided a great two-for-one deal. Renovate one house, get another home renovation free!
69th 👍
Josh _really_ went the extra mile by decorating the neighbor's house for them. What a thoughtful person. I should hire him to decorate my house!
GOD NO
Guessing you got some pesky neighbours then? xD
I love how he put more effort in the neighbour's house than the house he was supposed to be working on
What are you talking about? That baby's room was decorated beautifully.
I dont know how josh can manage to turn innocent building games into inconceivable nightmares but i am surprisingly not surprised.
E
He must take inspiration from Lovecraft
Josh is the menace into every game he encounters
Or he we wants to know "if" there's a limit
he can literally ruin any game lol
@@user-pl9hx7iq6m Correction. He improves them :P
Nothing less to be expected from Josh. An architectual prodigy indeed.
Don't tell Real Civil Engineer he hates architects.
"The changes someone else paid us to make are slowly being realized" at 16:43 is the understated humor of the year. So glorious!
As an interior designer (ish), I can confirm that these are, in fact, perfectly reasonable designs that a normal human like me, totally not an alien, would appreciate.
Where were you born suspicious Human? Were you born in a human place with other humans?
@@gutsmasterson2488I’m sure he was born at the most human place possible, earth of course
@@nikolajjensen4453of course the other human was born on earth because that's where us humans are born at. As a human of course I would know that.
Yeah he was hatched from the totally human clutch of eggs
Still not as insane as when I was working as a cleaner on construction sites in Finland.
I saw apartments that had "balconies" which were simply a glass cube inside the living room. AAAND the actual outside wall of the "balcony" was solid concrete with a tiny window. While the entire wall between balcony and living room was glass. And as an insulting cherry on top, the window of the living room (barely two meters from the "balcony's" window) was larger.
He really did a decent job with the neighbour's house while destroying the house he was supposed to work with
I mean he did get 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
So considerate!
4:23 Everybody's so creative! No one has ever thought of putting siding on the _INside_ of a house before.
11:58 now that is what you call an Open Floor Plan.
I find it interesting how you manage to show how a virus can take over another living organism through home renovation.
I think my fight or flight response triggered by seeing SIDING on the INSIDE walls.
By this point, i'm pretty sure Josh's videos serve as an ultimate guidebook for any QA Engineer.
i just realized
what if Josh makes a video with RCE
One of my favorite things about when Josh goes back to a game after it’s updated is seeing what measure they’ve taken to combat his shenanigans
And then find ways to ruin it again.
Yes, he punked them so many times that I actually start thinking it must have become a good game by now.
@@lucbloomNo. Hydroneer just gave up and let him cast chaos upon them. They might fix it, but they know they are fighting a losing war of attrition.
If you want to play see the glitches in your game just give it to Josh.
Your mom
Invading the neighbor's house with pleasant furnishings is the nicest thing Josh has ever done in a game.
He legitimately made it nicer than he did for his own clients! He essentially invaded them with kindness and free furniture (and fresh lasagna!).
I'd appreciate it if you'd listen to some of the records I've done. Ur honest thoughts on em would mean a lot. Thanks fam and have a great week 🙏🏾❤️🔥
The exact inverse of that scenario in Roller Coaster Tycoon where you launch all of your guests off your death trap coaster to crash into the neighbour's park so their park rating plummeted instead.

thx
I love hearing josh's most genuine laughs at stuff happening like the 1 star review at the start
Wow! Josh is so considerate! I'm sure the neighbors are going to love his additions to their house!
Josh in charge of home construction is still more competent than the people who did it on my house 15 years ago.
He is infinitely more competent than any living human, he just likes to instill pain, suffering and insanity. If he wanted to, he could build the best house on the planet for under $1.
@@skittersspider1704 This is very true. And 3 of my favorite things!

Always a good sign when your renovator gerrymanders your entire house.

Josh is the only person who can decorate someone else's house, out of bounds.
It was like the Blair Witch Project all over again
Not with that attitude.
It tried to run, but it didn’t work
Is your refrigerator running? Well that's not allowed! Timeout for you, refrigerator!
Ah yes, that feeling of moving into somebody else's house while still being your own. Ah, the nostalgia
I like how normal the furniture he clipped into the neighbors is in direct contrast to the rest of the renovations.
If i ever wanted josh to redecorate my rooms, I'll just write the exact opposite of what i want
thats not going to work. josh doesnt do opposites he does chaos. you cannot trick josh into doing anythingthing resembling sane or normal. you think saying id like black walls will make him paint white but actually he is going to just paint the floor with giraffe snot.

The game : 5 stars perfect

Once again, Josh is a game dev QA nightmare.
Josh's capabilities to find basically every exploitation in every game was surprising at first but now it's what I come here for.

He is the chaotic evil. The spiffing brit is the lawful evil

Hes a chaotic evil reality bender but just does pranks and property damage
I appreciate how Josh furnished the neighbor's house with checkerboards nicer than he did any of his actual projects
The fact that Josh actually had more meaningful and genuine construction towards the neighbour's house than their own. 💀💀💀
This was actually so innovative. The design choice of the interior and exterior really is what is NEXT in house design. I love how imagination and functionality co-exist within the spaces. The design seamlessly blends contemporary with cutting edge technology that provides a cunning view point of innovation.

This is the most real-life accurate play of this game I've yet seen, and a lesson in making sure you know what you're contracting for.
I love how the final house and the neighbors' house looks like an MC Escher sketch with all those checkerboards.
As much as I would like to see more from Josh, as the stuff he does is just hilarious, I cannot imagine the time, let alone PATIENCE, it takes for him to make a single video.
We know the prison and city in Planet Zoo part2 took 41 hours. That's probably the upper end, but should give you an idea. Plus he only uploads one video every two weeks or so.
You know it's gonna be a good video when there's a several-week break between videos, meant at some point in the game he did some serious grinding lol
@@Paul-vi3onHe's also left some games on for days.
Josh’s videos release in *just* the right interval for us to not lose interest (ring that bell!) and him to keep his sanity (I hope).
@gryphka You also know it’s going to be a good video when the game looks utterly bland and boring like this one. He’s bound to do something unexpected with it.
The two words "hold please" always haunts me, cause you know that something crazy is about to be unveiled
At this point the phrase "hold please" and "is there a limit?" Probably give game devs an aneurysm just from hearing them.
It's funny because said two words always give me an intense surge of joy whenever I hear them. 😅
TRUE SAME
They give me joy lol
Very reminiscent of GrayStillPlays back when he still did tycoon games, summarizing a game and what you're supposed to do in it before saying "THAT'S not gonna happen"
I love that Josh has been posting more often
"Hello can you build me a backyard bar?"
"Sure but it will require demolishing your entire house"
"I love it!"
I like the “5 stars, I don’t want to leave the house!” on the house with exactly one wall with five windows in it in the corner and a precarious stack of furniture yo hold the entire roof up.
Like you leave home asking them to build you a little backyard bar, and you come back to one singular wall and a floating roof.
Josh is basically the architect for all those liminal space horror games.
More like the personification for whatever part of your brain creates those weird, uncanny depictions of architecture in your dreams.
at this point, I won't be surprised if Josh is actually the Architect of Backrooms
@@TSPxEclipseThis is spot on. No wonder these houses feel so familiar! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
7:50 I like how Angie ONLY had an issue with the toilet outside of the bathroom and not the bathtub. Ik it was already in the house.... But that probably means that you could make a really nice room, bring in a bunch of weird items from other rooms to make it an absolute mess, and still get a decent rating?
for years i've watched this channel and i still love it to this day great work Josh!
How does Josh go so off track with the tasks he’s meant to do, apparently creating a baby’s rooms means create a master piece of a path outside the house and decorate the neighbours house to him… I love it
he's a planning genius, even taking care of the neighbours 😂
Josh has taught me a very valuable lesson.
Never do what you’re told. No matter how much it takes, always figure out a way to do it wrong.
I think if there's any wisdom to be gained from Josh's videos it's the principle of patience and thinking outside of the box
I like to watch Josh's videos on as low a fps as possible as my little salute to all his work and content he hath blessed the world with...

the fridge in the kitchen is so reflective that I actually thought it was a random doorway to another dimension. With the games Josh plays, and the way he plays them, I honestly wouldn't have been surprised if it was.
I like how they added really shiny appliances where you can clearly see the cubemap and then gave them a grass field cubemap. Even if they didn't want to recalculate it or find/make a few different ones for the different premade kitchens they could have just... found one of the inside of a kitchen. It takes like 30s of googling and is just a simple file replacement. Or, better yet, just not have extremely shiny metal appliances? Just use a brushed metal texture without reflections.
21:54 I like how it’s better than the house that’s actually being worked on. Gave them a lot of good stuffs.

17:48 "The game just understands my wants apparently."
Just wondering exactly how many games would find immediate and absolute success if they could only completely identify Josh's wants.
True 😂
it's rare to see a house builder game where you barely have to try to make the thing look as cursed as possible while simultaneously making the client appraise the insanity.
I love how he does a better job renovating a completely different house with his checkerboard shenanigans than the house he's actually supposed to be renovating.
Sriracha sauce (also known as rooster sauce) is possible to make at home with just a few ingredients! It's really fun and there's hardly any work involved. Serve this homemade hot sauce on just about anything.
