In Tillamook hills we looked for " oily " looking red clay road banks "&" pound on the ground with hammer 🔨 if hollow they would PROBE bank and "dig " up all located it "was" white amethyst 👍, "BIG " 1"&" 2 FT VUGS 😀
OH WOW! That would be so cool to find!
I went to a house in Brownsville and the guy lived on the hill and when you walked up to the front door on the right was about a 4ft vain that was a wall of quarts crystal and whip through the middle of the house.
Wow! That's awesome!
Yes I want to see the led light make those crystals glitter! Cool
I will work on figuring out how to do it :)
🤩🤩🤩. Definitely, nature’s art. ❤️
I love the little worlds inside those types of crystals. I could spend all day with a loupe and microscope, looking at the all the minerals and points.
Thanks so much for sharing 🤘
Stay Crystal 💫
Mari.
I think even the smallest crystals can be just as beautiful as the big ones :)
Nice haul! Love all the Crystals. An LED in the hole is a creative idea. See if you can get it to change colors. Keep the goodness coming. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒
Color changing would be a very good touch! :D
Ha! The leaf blower. 🤣 The quality of those crystals is just amazing. That LED light idea would be awesome.
That hair dryer got hot...had to cool off haha :)
Even though small, they are so beautiful!
Wow beautiful crystals! Can’t wait to go back again 🤩❤️
I want to go back soon. :)
Dig those old stumps up. You might find more tangled in the roots
I always take time to look at new spots each time I go out. Thanks for putting the wood back so many won’t. That makes me happy 😃 Those delicate vugs drive me nuts they always break apart when I find them here and I stopped hunting them because of that
I always try to do what I can to make sure to put things back as I found them. It's only out of respect to whatever may use it as a shelter. Doesn't matter if its bugs or a little mammal. The woods are their home, not mine. :)
That area looks great for chanterelles. September through whenever it freezes. 🤷♂️
I don't doubt it lol
Nice finds! You did a great job putting that one back together. I think it’s look awesome with the LED light
Thank you and THANK YOU! I'm glad I could do it :) but I will be looking into LED lights at some point and will make a video once I know what I'm doing haha!
Wonderful video. Thanks for making it and sharing!
Thank you and you're welcome...but THANK YOU for watching!
I wonder how that wall would look if you washed all that dirt off with a garden sprayer or something like that.
It kinda seems like they might be already fractured by the freezing weather. Maybe working down past what would normally freeze would be good.
It would be cool to get a lower grade pressure washer to use on that wall. Just reminds me of hydraulic mining that the gold miners would do, just on a 1% scale :)
I think it's a mixture of being fractured due to weather and the thin walling lining of the crystal wall with a hint of digging in the wall where the impact energy causes the surrounding material to force pressure onto the void and cause it to fracture before even being exposed.
The crystals look so clear and sparkly! Beautiful finds. I hope you'll be able to uncover more of them. I like CR's idea with the water. Maybe one of those sprayer tanks you can pump up? Thanks for sharing the adventure!
That's an interesting idea!
New rockhounding goal: find a quartz vug like this, now that I know its a thing locally.
:) You can do it!
Amazing video my friend, thank you for sharing!!
Thank you for watching :)
Yes go with the light idea make it interesting and get a color changing one.
Oooh that would be nice!
Great part 2! The shots in the studio are awesome, love the 'pans'. Hope you get a chance to go back and find the motherlode, but for now you've got some great finds. Cheers!
Thank you! haha
I do plan on going back...just gotta keep looking for it. :)
I just found your channel and am excited to watch your videos. I do lapidary knife handles myself and like some of the work you have done.
Welcome to the channel! If you have an Instagram or media outlet where you show your work, I'd love to see!
The LED idea sounds great, should look good. Pity they weren't a bit bigger as it would make a great display. Still nice finds though. 👍✌
Thank you! :)
I've been to that spot numerous times. You're missing out if you haven't gone further up that road. It goes for MILES. I have chunks of agate weighing multiple pounds from that spot, as well as a chunk of that filthy skeletal quartz as big as a standard house brick. Keep on lookin'. ;)
@tomkzinti2760 that's good to know! I've been meaning to go back and poke around some more! Might be doing that in a few weeks after my trip
@@WorldofRockhoundsI just got back from my first trip to Brownsville with my son but found the spot I had planned was owned by the lumber company. Are there any pointers you could give to find a place near there?
Nature's Art. Thanks.
Hey, if you need help, I'd love to come adventure with you. You can keep your secret spot; we could go somewhere else. I get excited watching your videos and I usually go alone or with my My Mom (she likes rocking). Anytime let me know. I live North of Brownsville, in Albany.
I understand if you wouldn't feel comfortable because I'm a stranger. Please dont feel awkward if you dont need a digging pal, I understand. I had to try because I need to do more activities with friends with similar interests. Or if you have recommendations for a club, that'd be awesome!
I may be down for a future hunt! There used to be a rock club in Corvallis but I don't know if they still run that club or not. It's been a hot minute since I was a part of it. I do have a couple rock hounding groups on FB - Oregon Rock Hounds, Washington Rock Hounds, and of course World of Rock Hounds. Those are also great resources for finding local clubs that I may not know about or creating meet ups.
Feel free to send me an email too at worldofrockhounds@gmail.com
Yes put the LED in there it will look great
I will do that at some point! Maybe a winter project? :)
Crystaley goodness, Nice. I would try the led, possibly a uv led. I make some stands from the oven bake modeling clay.
Oh the clay is an excellent idea!!!
Nice haul Kyle... James and I gotta get you up to the mountain for crystal this summer..
I talked to him about it already, he said heck ya'!
Will let you know way in advance...👍
I want to go to 😀 lol
Thank you and sounds good!
Awesome video!
Thank you!
Guess it’s time to go back up there with you!
Anytime with you buddy :D
I figured the sound problem out and I fixed it.
Polish, polish, polish!
😁🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦
:)
Kyle good job! Your neighbor Mehmet here.
There’s almost always something good when you have red clay 🤷🏻♂️ I thought it was just a Midwest thing but I think the red high iron content clay is a sign of hydrothermal activity. At least it seems to be. It would definitely be cool to put a light in one. I have quite a few pieces I’d like to try that with.
I'm hoping there are other clay spots like that out there. Maybe I can find a HUGE pocket haha
You should definitely light some of your crystals up!
Not to sure that's clay. I think it might be basalt, only highly oxidized to the point of disintegrating? Either way, awesome finds!
Dooooo iiiittttt! Put the led in the roooock cavveeee!
:)
Where do I go in Brownsville to dig!?
I live near Brownsville. Care to share with me where approximately this is located 😁
I wish I could! This was a special spot to someone that passed it down to me.
Closer to Crawfordsville!
@@WorldofRockhounds Thats nice.
It's up the Calapooya River on a logging road spur that's usually locked and gated.
7:08 see what you can hear.. i hear what ur seeing.
Where in the heck is this at by Brownsville? Doesn’t look like the Brownsville area
Closer to Crawfordsville?
Yes, actually haha
I’m not hearing sound on this video for some reason?!?
