I FOUND $40,000 IN GEMSTONES 3 HOURS!!

- Опубликовано: 27 сен 2024
- Took another trip back to the Ocean Picture Stone Quarry and collected almost 1000 lbs of the most beautiful gem stone. We have found that many lapidary artist and jewelers want this stone for making sculptures and jewelry. And are willing to pay for it. So at last after so many years of prospecting I finally get a big payday. It takes a lot of work and a lot of time to sell this material, but the collecting sure is fun!

I would love to watch your videos but about 2 minutes in - I was sick.
Please get a son to film for you, steadily.
@@dontwanadisplaynameonutube2951 Why should he have to change his entire filming process when you could simply take some Dramamine....?! I have massive motion sickness, but would never privilege myself to the extent of telling someone to redo their entire way of production.... geez.... go spend a few bucks and do what a civilized person would do and help yourself instead of expecting others to bend for you. Ridiculous. *takes Dramamine and continues binge watching* 👀 some people's kids.... ugh
@@MajikalMajix Pretty ignorant comment. Considering mine was constructive criticism and was to help him reach wider audience. I've never had motion sickness in my life, I can only assume the medication your suggesting random people to take with no medical insight on a stranger is an otc medicine for motion sickness. Regardless, It was unbearable to watch, mostly giving me a headache. He could also use a camera mount, even a body one. If he cant simply ask his son to hold the camera since he's there anyway. But he's literally drilling with 1 hand, and filming with the other. Entire way of production you say? like increasing the viewing audience and producing better quality videos would be soooo detrimental for him. Regardless of the method pursued. Albeit extremely simple to get much better quality. You seem like your simping hard for this dude, and attack anybody who says anything negative, and you criticize me for suggesting changes that would help him, but also tell me what I should be doing. Again, Pretty ignorant.
Now sell it all in 3 hours and video it. That would actually be impressive.

"I hope to earn your subscription today" Such a refreshing thing to hear from a content creator... Even though this isn't my cup of tea, I feel like that convinces me more than anything else.
Exactly
Same man!
I subbed immediately after that.
it did it for me lol
Much better than "And don't forget to like and subscribe!" before the fucking video even started...
I know nothing about rocks, I've never seen this channel before, but oh my god his excitment and passion just makes me love this so much!
Same
He has many many videos that are absolutely amazing
I mean he said he made $40k in stone. I'd be passionate too lol.
SAME!!!
Would love to see the whole process of this. A video where you're taking it to either a jewelry company or a middleperson or whatever that tries to buy the raw minerals/gems from you. I think would be really cool to watch.
But then someone else would know how to do what he’s doing, selling things is usually the hardest part when doing things like this
I'd like to see the finished pieces after they're sold. Do you have a good enough relationship with any of your buyers so that they would be willing to let you record them cutting, shaping, and polishing the rocks into the finished product?
That would be interesting to see, as well.
I would be interested in seeing that as well. Maybe trade some minerals for the video win/win.
This would be awesome, please make a video on this !
check out his website, he has a few items there
Nothing finished though. Would be nice to get some etsy artists into turning out ready to wear bling stuff.
He literally has a pinned comment at the top of this comment thread with a link to his site where you can see the auctions and photos of the finished items.
Evan doesn’t know it right know but these videos/memories with his dad are going to be treasured by him when he’s older 😖

That's wholesome
This was amazingly wholesome father son trip. I love it
He looks like he doesn't even wanna be there
i think he's not entirely happy on what is he doing
I love that you're doing this as a family, looks like so much fun. Great way to enjoy nature and family bonding too.
I just found your channel June 2021. I’ve been a rock hound for over 40 yrs. Sadly, my entire collection was stolen years ago and I literally fell into deep depression. I’ve just collected minerals for the sheer joy of owning a piece of “God’s nature art”; and I get true joy from gazing upon their beauty. Thanks for your videos. I’ll subscribe and live vicariously thru you!. ❤️💜
I hope you one day build back up your collection even greater than it once was
i’m so sorry about your rocks :( but the earth is ancient and there will always be more beautiful stones to be treasured :)) so keep collecting!!
I relate :/. Good luck to you.
If i ever lose any of my rocks im hunting down like john wick
The best revenge or recovery is to regain your joy. Get out there and make a new collection! They stole your collection, don’t let them steal your hobby!
The real treasure is spending time with your family and that is priceless.
Maybe but that treasure just paid off for Dan haha

It makes me happy seeing someone doing something that they truly enjoy. And the fact that he mentioned his family right afterwards.
I love the beauty in nature, and I love seeing your children out in the mountains with you… learning specimens of rocks and minerals! Most children are glued to an iPad and we need more parents like you who will teach their kid’s knowledge that gets handed down through the generations. Some things can’t be taught in a classroom… 💯🙌
Even if my stone's didn't have value I'd love to have stuff like this around my area to go mine some of.
i know i live in a geological dead zone, all we have is tons of concrete making stuff, and gravel pits. some quarts but the stuff that is not in spear or quality form. once in a rare rare rare while a peice of amathst or pink rose quartz but its all cloudy not clear..and we should have soapstone so i can carve it,,but so far i cant find any large peices of soapstone. and whats on sale costs to much for freaking rocks..

Cute little ginger.. I hope he loves his red hair🥰. I just started seeing your videos and the one thing I noticed is how you love spending time with your family while doing what you love to do. Me and my father bonded over fishing. Since I was old enough to walk I had a pole in my hand and those are the best memories I have of him. Sadly he died in 1992 and I miss him dearly. The best part of you telling the story at the end was the way that you chiseled at that heartstring regarding your family. I've witnessed so many men take up a hobby like this to wedge something between the expectations of a father and the man. I know that it can be misunderstood as it's very unfamiliar to others. But, I get it, brother. I believe that I felt the way your emotion shifted when you explained how happy it made you that they all came willfully to enjoy your life's work. I'm raising a 9-year-old daughter who sort of loves what I do, and can participate daily and hope that I can build a scene just as I enjoyed watching you do today. Keep up the great work! Better fathers changes so many things. Better fathers is what the world needs right now. Men, the bigger lesson here isn't in the intrinsic value of the stone. It's in the philosophical one. Well done, Mr. Hurd. On all fronts, well done.

That's one stone I want a sample of just for it's beauty and looking like the ocean. My daughter was born in coastal California. She was never afraid of the ocean even as a toddler. We miss it, but not the crowds of people.
I never thought I would hear someone say “that’s some beautiful scenery on that rock”

Wow! I am so excited to see this material again! I remember seeing some slabbed pieces at a rock show on the California Central Coast which were the most amazing Ocean/Beach/Outcropping SCENES I'd ever seen. I was fascinated by them. Yes, they were very expensive but they were so so so beautiful. I went looking online to learn more about this amazing material (I really love all of the Picture types of rocks). All I could find out was that some of it came from British Columbia somewhere but was not really very plentiful or available. And here you are, and here it is! This is so cool! Thank you. It's kind of too bad that you don't do any of the final processing of this material, so you don't have those special slabs to show us. I'll keep looking for them, though. Thank you! You "earned" my subscription with this one! Thanks.

Beautiful rock, beautiful scenery, time with family, you are absolutely a very lucky man.
One of the things i want to do in life. To look for valuable stones.
Where is this place at?
Love the family togetherness, I used to go rock hunting with my dad in South Africa as a kid. Just remember you are lucky to have what you have...the good times can be only a fleeting moment.
These are just beautiful. I’ve never heard of this type of rock before but I can tell it’s gorgeous. I’m so glad you hit it big.
Never would have thought that the ocean picture stone would have been your most valuable claim. Very cool. Personally, I want to buy one of your money stone from your claim with peridot.
I'm not sure if it's his most valuable claim considering he valued one of his other gold claims at $500k+ in just one section of it. Having said that, this stone is definitely much more valuable than I ever thought it would be.
Gemstones are, ounce for ounce, far more valuable than gold. Plus, if you can knock out a half-ton of semi-precious jasper in three hours at $75 per pound vs. a full day to get 3 ounces of gold... well, that's how math works.
My son gave me a piece of this stone several years ago. I have always loved it. I thrilled me to see where it comes from. I do wire work and want to make it into a pendant. I wish I had 2 couple of small pieces to make earrings. It is so beautiful. How fortunate you are to have found it and be able to sell it. Best of luck.
So....where is this place exactly? Asking for a friend.
The stone is beautiful, but having your family enjoy it with you is priceless.
I like having a premium day out on my premium field getting some premium rock which is premium quality and I will sell it for a premium price
