I know it may look weird, but i swear it works...get yourself a 3-wheel all terrain stroller for moving your heavy stuff. Make sure it's got large wheels and a way to to lock in the front wheel so it doesn't swivel.
I do so enjoy watching your videos. Educational, entertaining and fun. It's nice to see the family involved. Super happy for you guys. Love the BC OPS. Maybe some day I'll be able to get a cab. Best wishes! Hugs from Texas.
Dan, have you done any videos that talk about how you started prospecting and how someone may be able to get into prospecting for themselves? If not I'd be interested to hear you talk about it. Also on a side note, have you ever seen guys use a .22 caliber blank cartridge to break large boulders apart? You just drill down a ways into it and drop the powder charge into it and tap it with a metal rod and hammer. The same way they shoot nails into concrete. It would be really good for breaking off large chunks of rock for your gemstones with very little effort. You wouldnt have to break your back and wear yourself out with all the hammering . I believe they call it microshaving you should check it out. There are videos on RUclips
My favorite stone! The one at 22.52 looks like a forest with a river running through it, with ominous storm clouds rolling in. Love all the scenery you can imagine with these stones.
I don’t get it. Maybe I have no imagination and am just a worthless Philistine, but these are just pretty blue rocks that are used in making KITSCHY trinkets sold to gullible Rubes.
You should get those straps used for two people to move furniture and put a net between them, that way, in two you can move the bigger rocks easier, plus, it's safer on your body too.
It's so good that your prospecting pays off for you both and your family and you are a great teacher! I know about a fella here in Bellingham,Wa that praises your rock splitting:) Cheers, Rik Spector
Maybe you should get a come along and some 2x8s to get those big piece out. Love your gem stone videos and the picture stone look amazing. Keep up the good work.
while its nice and dry dan, you should put in a good drainage ditch so the bottom part dosnt flood on you like it did last time. who knows you might be lucky and find more stone outcrops with potential while your doing it. P.S. Great video as always.
I can see how Dan sells the awesome BC picture stone. But ... how do you sell the gold? Is there a business in town where you bring in your pickers, flakes, and such and they weight it and give you cash? I'd be curious how Dan gets that done up in BC and if he has any tips on selling gold after you accumulate some from prospecting.
Loved Dana's comment that this was proof that Dan's heart is doing so much better. Glad to hear it! God bless you both, the boys, and the rest of your families! Thanks for the upload! Wow! Dana is a beast! You both are!! Getting that boulder into the bed of the truck! 😳 Edit: spelling....
You can really tell there’s such wonderful chemistry between Dana and Dan. To find someone who genuinely enjoys the same things you do can’t be over stated.
You sure are a BLESSED man to have a God sent wife like Dayna! You for sure would not of been going home with all the blessings without her beside you. You need to take her every time you go. And bring the kiddos along to help carry. Also bring a good rope so you can draige the heavy stones out with the truck or a winch.... It's fun seeing you kids get blessed... BBE..
All I can say about your content anymore is: I wish I could come work for you. The enjoyment that you have prospecting/panning/etc. is so enjoyable to watch. Especially when you have your family with you and they are enjoying it as much as you. Thank you showing us such amazing stuff!!
Damn the specimen you pulled out at 8:04 was Amazing! It looks very unique. It has more grey than the rusty orange, which gives it the appearance of a rocky bay on a foggy day. Great work!
Dude, I just found your channel and I have to say, this is the coolest shit ever. I'd always wanted to learn how gemstones and such were sourced, like the process of it and my goodness I may or may not already be wish listing on your website LOL. I love both you and Dayna's cheerful attitudes and chemistry and I love how you educate us along the way!! So amazing and I look forward to binging more of your videos! (And going broke in your shop when I get a job 🤣) much love and light! ❤️✨
Love this video you two. Dan and Dana you two are amazing working together to get those stones out. Next time, get those boys to join you, they would been able to carry all those rock an put into truck bed for you. Stay safe.
You may have answered this before, but i can't find it or remember.. (getting old stinks) but do you have a good finish to put on this ocean stone that I've bought from you for display? That makes or keeps it "wet" looking? Mineral oil? Or a lacquer? Thanks Dan, love the videos.. lol 🤘🏼 🇺🇲
Dan - Maybe you could invest in some 6-wheeled sack trucks to get the biggest rocks out. The design is genius & even goes up stairs so should be able to cope with the sort of uneven terrain you work with.
My husband and I love to rockhound. How fun it would be to have mineral rights somewhere. I know you are in BC, but have you a time you ever shared how you went about acquiring so many places? Do you have a link to where you explained it? And, how do you not lose material like where you are to thieves?
Just discovering your channel now, new to rockhounding! Amazing content Dan!! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us newbies, I’ve learned so much! 💗
Aaand would you look at that. You managed to delete my comment within two minutes. My God 🤣Oh well, that just confirms what I thought then. Many people are questioning you but you just delete comments instead of facing them like a man.
So Dan, why are these rocks so valuable. I have a 40 acer ranch with lot of rock formations. How would I go about locating something like that. Thanks for the great video.
If I had that claim I would get a great big Electric Makita electric jack hammer drill some diamond drills and a chisel a point set up and get more faster get your son to pay for his university just working there for the summer rent him a dump truck !
Awesome that you got that much Dan and Dana! You both worked your tails off.
You two make a great team and couple. ❤
I know it may look weird, but i swear it works...get yourself a 3-wheel all terrain stroller for moving your heavy stuff. Make sure it's got large wheels and a way to to lock in the front wheel so it doesn't swivel.
I mentioned using a barrel sled. pretty cheap and much easier than rolling a rock uphill! literally
@@ahealthierkirk2558 2 logs and some straps. Put both logs on your shoulders front and back of the rock and lift it up and walk it out.
I agree. I would have suggested a furniture trolley, but an all-terrain stroller sounds much better!
Oh man that’s a clever idea!
@Chris Larson What brand is yours?
Yay coffee and a new Dan Hurd video in the mornin
That looks like hard work and fun! And, yes, Dana made the difference. I'm looking forward to learning more.
Glad to see Dan doing what he loves, glad ya heart going strong Sir 💪💪
I don't know why I'm watching this, but I really like it 🙂

Some of those pieces are extra gorgeous!!!!!!!
Thanks for the video Dan & Dayna 💐 Always love seeing an Ocean Picture Stone adventure.

I could stand there and look at that landscape all day it's a very nice change of scenery compared to the city life
My favorite stone! The one at 22.52 looks like a forest with a river running through it, with ominous storm clouds rolling in. Love all the scenery you can imagine with these stones.

Great day for you Dan! Your assistant was really busy today, too. Great work guys!
You definitely got the right materials ☝🏾🎯🎯
The endless permits must get exhausting, but I can understand the reasons
Right on Dan, glad to see the 15 years of RUclips paying off for you. Hope everything goes awesome for you!
Abdul El-Sayed Biden and Bernie Sanders
Dan if you get a drift and hit strait down on the feather part of the wedge they should pop out
You should get those straps used for two people to move furniture and put a net between them, that way, in two you can move the bigger rocks easier, plus, it's safer on your body too.
Lucky Mr.Dan (man)🤩👍
Wow that is some beautiful gemstone!
It's so good that your prospecting pays off for you both and your family and

That's a beautiful rock you found there
Great video. Hard work pays off. All the best 🇬🇧.
So question for Dan and other Canadians, is “Three Blind Mice” the equivalent to USA’s “Hot Cross Buns”? 😂 loved the tune regardless!!
Hammer time!
Earned my sub and continue to thank you for working so hard to have a camera capturing your hobby
It hurts my back just watching you move those rocks lol. Man get yourself a nice hand truck, there not expensive.
I'd love to be there! 👏👏

Nice gem hope i can have 1 someday..
Maybe you should get a come along and some 2x8s to get those big piece out.
Love your gem stone videos and the picture stone look amazing. Keep up the good work.
With a payoff like that I think I found my new hobby.
OMG I'd love to have some of that. My daughter wants to come help you prospect.
Not sure why this rock is blue but it certainly is beautiful.
Awesome find Dan!
Much fun seeing the pair of you enjoying each other's company.
Just the beginning💱💲
Fun times
Dan you have a amazing wife sir. What a great team
Dana definitely should be on more often..! You have a lovely wife... (so do I...lucky us!)
while its nice and dry dan, you should put in a good drainage ditch so the bottom part dosnt flood on you like it did last time. who knows you might be lucky and find more stone outcrops with potential while your doing it. P.S. Great video as always.
I never thought gold come in the color blue
What feather and wedges do you use?
Dam ima go rock hunting now.

I see gold dan! Lol
I'm one of your very favourites, Dan. Personally, I wouldn't pay a cent, because it means nothing to me. I hope that you succeed.
You need a winch on the truck with some sort of wood sled.
Yeah and some sort of skid like a toboggan to load up
yay! congrats!
Stahlrim mine!
The ministry...right out of 1984.
Yeah good luck getting 50K for those rocks
Have you ever found dinosaur bone?
Loved Dana's comment that this was proof that Dan's heart is doing so much better. Glad to hear it! God bless you both, the boys, and the rest of your families! Thanks for the upload!
Wow! Dana is a beast! You both are!! Getting that boulder into the bed of the truck! 😳

It's his channel.
@@feelinghealingfrequences7179 Dan had a heart attack while working a claim
I agree! I hope there are many many more years to come with Dan and his healthy heart!
👍👍👍❤️❤️
I wish he would still slow down a bit more..
Makes me nervous..
You can really tell there’s such wonderful chemistry between Dana and Dan. To find someone who genuinely enjoys the same things you do can’t be over stated.
My first reaction to the grasshopper sound was “They don’t seem too concerned about the snake” I’m so stupid.
So true. And we cannot deny that Dan is such a huge person with great sense of humor.
They might of slept together
@@1JesusChrist1 It's been rumored yes...
@@1JesusChrist1 Btw, it's impressive to come across the person with the youtube handle "Jesus Christ." No numbers or additional symbols either.
Im happy to see Dan get an actual big payoff from his hobby.
You can find the same blue stones at the Hope slide on the slope as many as you can carry.
@@MrDuffy81 Yeah it's not and it's not very rare either, no where near the evaluation dan gives in the video.
Good day .. what is this Gem aquamarine?

Omg looks like that Haystack rock in Oregon!
Wow! Congratulations! It really pays to know your planet. I'm going over to your webite right now.

I would like to know who is buying that for $50,000. I have a collection that I would like to sell and is more impressive then what you pulled up.
What??? The largest results in the biggest?? Impossible!!!
