Thanks for naming the beach. I have been trying to plan a trip to Oregon coast from Eureka Ca, and it can be hard to get info on the good spots to go to. I know people don’t want a spot overrun but I’m also into rocks and I want my trip to be productive. Anywho, I’ll put this beach on my list, are there any others you can recommend?
I am happy to share some of my knowledge…keeping in mind I am no expert. Lol! I have gotten a ton of info from some of the rockhounding books out there. I totally recommend investing in them, so worth it. Tunnel Beach after a good storm in the winter is when you will find amazing treasures. Be sure to go a couple hours before low tide! If you like petrified wood, Old Marker Ranch, in Sweet Home, is a sure bet. You just have to call and schedule a time to come out. Happy rockhounding and thank you so much for watching. :)
@@davidcarella64 Ugh....that hurts my heart. Ha! I am going to assume selling it may have proven difficult. At least that is what I am telling myself. ;)
Looks like a chunk of eroded foam. If its been at sea for years and from Fukushima, whic is still washing ashore here occasionally, you wouldn't want the prizes it could have delivered.
Wow
Thank you for watching! 😁
Me enamoraron con esa belleza de aghata Saludos desde Cuba
Thank you so much! ☺️
I grew up in a house right at the top of the beach there and I went rock hunting everyday lol
I love that! Do you have any amazing treasures!
Thank you for watching. :)
Rock = smack, my favorite part😂😂
:)
Love the video!!!
Awww, thank you so much! That is very kind. 😊

A place called Bobs Creek on the Oregon Coast is a great time, especially in the winter.
😎
This was an amazing find!!
Looking for agate on the beach, you will find a lot of agate, all are super. Greetings from Indonesian agate hunters.
Greeting to you as well! It’s great to hear from fellow Rockhounders! Beach agates are amazing! I love it when they come already tumbled by the sea.
Tunnel beach is where I found my first agate. Spring is a good time to go after all the winter storms have churned up the rocks.
It is an amazing beach. I have never failed to find an agate there. Do you have a pic of your first agate?
Ambergris. Likely a piece that size would be worth tens of thousands.
Wow! Well, looks like I won the lottery and left it on the beach. 😂😮
@@thatrocktalkchannel well that's a bummer. Probably once in a lifetime find as well.
I was wondering if that's what it was.
@@m8s4lif Ya, its a bummer I didn't know. Live and learn I guess! :)
Whale Vomit - YES (Ambergris)
I know there is a scientific name, but the rocks with crystals in host I call secret keepers.
I think that’s the best name!! I may borrow that. 😁
4:00 I bet that one would be nice when cut
It would be AMAZING! I didn’t keep it since I don’t have rock saw yet. Love to look though. 😁Thank you for watching!!!
3:35-3:45... Was that whale bile???
THAT is a great question!!
I agree - Looks like Whale Vomit - A piece like that is worth 100,000's of dollars - No Joke.

Agree! :)
I doubt it is ambergris, which is not legal like any whale part
Ya….maybe, maybe not. Either way, I did not pick it up. It was left to the ocean to do with what it wanted.
I just wanted to make sure people knew so they don't get pinched by the feds if they do find it
Fair enough! 😅
This does not look like rockhounding, rather like beach glass collecting.
Huh? I do not believe I found any glass at all. I am open to knowing why you believe this.
