Good video buddy. I get it about the pedals. but the input levels, you can change the 4 silver dials on the rc600 to be the same faders on the rc300. For me with the faders, I use the volume pedal as a leveller for the loops.
I got the RC600 last year and find it an incredible piece of kit. I did connect mine to the RC 300 for a 9 track monster which was fun, until I got the FC300 midi controller pedal. The FC300+the RC600 is an incredible powerhouse. I use the expression pedals on the FC300 for levels and have mic mutes included on the FC300. Another advantage of the RC600 is I can just connect the midi out from my drum kit to the midi in of the RC600 and have access to those kits.
@JohnWynne In the words of Morpheus - "I can only show you the door. It is you who must walk through it!" Introducing midi controllers to the RC600 is a must if you can, and you have the patience for the setup. RoryGallagherMusic and John Paul Music - both those channels know more than I, and that is where I got some of my info from. Have a look at those channels. The FC300 in default mode becomes a "select memory by its number" for the rc600. Then, in the second mode, it becomes 10 extra foot switches + 2 expression pedals. That's before you add in the possibility of 5 FS7's for extra controls (that's between both the 3 on the fc300 and 2 on the rc600) or 5 expression pedals (plus the two on the fc300 giving you 7 and total control over the volume of every track!) I am only just getting my head around what a midi spider's web I can weave now that I added a thru box. Tip of the iceberg, so to speak.
Do you happen to know if the drum midi from the rc600's built in drum patterns can be sent out to an external sampler so I can use those patterns with my own drum machine/ computer?
nice video. im sure you probably already know this but on the rc600 u can use a midi controller that has knobs/encoders at hand level to control both the input volumes and the track volumes. which would basically cover what all the knobs on the rc300 do. u can program the hand level midi controller to do just about anything on the rc600.
@@JohnWynne Assign1 Switch: On, Target: Input Mic Switch, Target Min: Off, Target Max: On, Assign1 Source: EXP1 Pedal, Assign1 Src Mode: Moment (Doesn't have to be Assign1). I don't use the Exp pedal for anything else, so this works great for me, but if you do I could see it causing an issue.
There's nothing like playing with the "new shiny" to make you appreciate the good stuff about the "old, comfy" version isn't there? I know it's more kit, but doesn't the 600 have enough outs that you could feed the individual tracks through a small mixer and get the immediacy of faders back?
The rc600 is an incredible unit, if only it was in the rc300 shell, I’d hook it up to faders but I like being minimal with kit and cables, looks like we’ll have to wait for the rc1200 😂
@@JohnWynne I get that; I'm currently optimising my open mic rig, which is based on Loopy Pro on an iPad and there's no avoiding the whole 'too many boxes' thing with that. Thankfully, I've found an iPad stand with a built in powered USB hub, which is an absolute godsend - shortens all the cables for starters and essentially removes one box. An RC300 box with an RC600 brain would be a killer bit of kit, for sure. Especially if you get all the ins and outs of the 600.
I am thinking about upgrading to rc 600 and still got my rc 300. But I have this rc 3 on my board with eq / octive pedal and effects ( rc 3 has an aux port for my synth) and even though everything is an overdub and self balancing , its reliable and works great.
The 600 is incredible, I just wish it’s capabilities was within an rc300 shell, I definitely recommend the 600, once you develop the muscle memory you’ll be flying 🤟
It is better but choose to transpose rather thank guitar to bass and also double it up with an eq effect, the eq setting will help you adjust it to your particular guitar 👌
Been a pleasure spending those 7 min with you. I find you fun and gentle. Got tired of entertainer's videos.

I love how your rc300 is still getting some love-I really want one aswell because a studio looper
It’s cool man, if only the 600 was in the 300 shell

You’re opening up an expensive rabbit hole for me 😂 I’m gonna check out the fc300 now 🙌 just uploaded a fresh vid comparing both the 300 and 600 🤟

I use the expression pedal as a mic on/off switch. No need to adjust the input volume.
How did you set this up you absolute wizard ⚡️🙌

See if you can shake the camera a little more, I don't feel sick enough yet.
Wow man you gotta strengthen that stomach you’re missing out on good material 😂
I use my big toe to control volumes, barefoot the best
wish I kept mine
