Marissa was dull for Ryan, she was always starting drama and then crying about it and feeling sorry for herself after it blew up in her face. Taylor was ALWAYS there for Ryan and never pulled any shit on him, in fact she made him a happier person.
The OC got canceled bc of a lot of things. One reason was because story line was boring people and wasn't attracting a large audience. Also FOX kept changing the time and day it was being aired which increased its chances of people not being able to watch the show. Marissa being gone wasn't the main reason and a lot of people can agree with that. Some fans began to really dislike the Marissa drama and felt like it was getting old fast.
The show had problems beginning in season 3 which had Marissa on. So what you are saying really doesn't matter. The issues were there before she died when she was still on the show. Her storyline and most of the other characters were not attracting the audience. FOX reps were on the fence about keeping the show and with the declining numbers that started in Season 3 up until mid season 4 they decided it was time to end it. Marissa was not the show no matter how much you think she was.
Marrissa was teh worst charcter i have ever seen on a tv show, she was annoying to watch and listen to, she only ever thought of herself, she took everyone and everything she had for granted, she was a miseable, selfish bitch. Her character missing from the show did not make the show get cancelled! ps. i love this ryan/taylor scene the way he is like, please talk to me? haha
eww i can't stand Marissa she is so anoying and whiney oh poor little rich girl I liked her and Ryan in the begining but after she just started causing drama I liked season 4 the best Taylor is soo cute and corky and so much better suited for Ryan.
What annoyed me about the Oc, was the fact that the writers kept repeating the same old drama storyline with Marissa. The fact that she kept getting other guys involved with her relationship and constantly seeing Ryan upset about it. was seriously getting old. if I go back and watch the Oc, I always just watch the first few episodes before Oliver and I just stop because that was when the show started becoming bad to me honestly.
Sure! If you prefer ditzy loonatics who are played by mediocre actresses. Mischa was a WAY better actress and a much more realistic character. Season 4 sucks! I liked Taylor a lot more in season 3.
