Seeing him remember his beautiful Marissa in front of her old house, just heartbreaking. They both had their problems but if she hadnt died i Believe they would of ended up together down the road.
This show had a lot of potential to have way more seasons. We could’ve seen the kids in college for two seasons. Wedding and babies maybe careers. This was a great show
That's why this is perfect ending. Anyone would predict what will happen next. Instead of dragging put it in the end. That's how movies shows become cult classic.
@@jairamchandani5329 true but this show definitely deserved one more season. Shame the actors got tired of it, and people stopped watching after toxic marissa died.
Haven't watched this show since I was in primary school early 2000s and yet for some reason I have returned to this scene 2022 its just one of those shows you start randomly thinking about good memories.
It brokes my heart when the flashback of Marissa shows. :( I miss the OC so muchh. Nothing will ever be better than this show, not Gossip Girl or One tree hill, nothing.
yeah, it really got to me when they showed the first time he saw seth too, and when he saw marissa. i love the oc, its so sad that it ended...but i guess they gotta end it someday, it was just sad of ryan thinking where his life began, which is the cohens house.
The music that's playing as they hug and Seth puts his bag in the taxi is the same music playing when Ryan walks out of the pool house for the first time
The last episode was a tear jerker, especially when they showed the flashback of Marissa. I barely watched the fourth season. The show just wasn't the same without Mischa. Her and Ryan should've ended up together.
One of the episodes in the fourth season is actually one of the best...... it it’s the Chrismakuh episode... where Taylor and Ryan get knocked out and end up in the hospital and they join each other in their dreams. One of the most creative episodes of the oc and it talks about marissa I highly recommend it
Man I miss the OC so much, best teen drama I ever watched and much better than one tree hill which has run for ages which is so unfair. The OC had so much more to tell which could have covered everything between leaving the house in this vid and the 'future montage' at the end of the episode. I didn't really like Marissa, for me the show actually got better without her. Even now Mischa Barton admits leaving was a big mistake and her career has now tanked.
cant they do a s5 and carry on like do a pilot for s5 see how it goes :/ i mean gossip girl has had talks of ratings going down maybe they should bring this back!
I'm sorry to reply to your 3 months old comment, but The OC did not lose any viewers. They just gained more and more. It's not because of the viewers that the show quit. It's just Schwartz his decision. And I liked the 4th season. But don't get your hopes up. Someday, maybe someday, there will be a 5th.
I know I'm 14 years late but they literally lost viewers significantly after season 2. It went from 9-6 Million to 5.5 Million in a poorly written season 3 to not even scrapping 4 million in the last season after Marissa died.
The last shot showing Marissa briefly as if she was a soul still being left behind. Very 😢
If I was the director I would’ve shot the scene to finish with Marissa saying goodbye to Ryan as he drives away and fades away
@@MrDash03 if I had the show I would not have killed her
The flashback of Seth and the shot of Marissa always get me!

heartbreaking. End of an era. 2020 and still feels like yesterday.
2021
2022
2023 :)
Well said
almost 2024

@@tyler1783 the show was about ryan and marissa. Why would you watch it if you don't like marissa?
@@purpose6113 I didn’t say I didn’t like marissa I said she was toxic.
@@tyler1783 yeah totally agree.
The music score..... nothing tops this shows music score
Along with one tree hill both a gems when it comes to good music use.
i reli felt it when the flashback of marissa on the driveway appeared.
12 years later still the same feeling 😂😂
so heartbreaking to see the house empty like that =( miss it
Someone liking this 6 years old comment of mine just made me watch this vid again. 6 years and I'm still in tears?
In the prince of rap made me cry to see the house empty in the last episode, and now here in the O.C 😭😭😭😭

I never got into 90210, but this show and one tree hill....was really cool.
Shane Greenwood yeah this is one of my favorite shows
The newer 90210 (not the reboot) the CW one is definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of OTH & The OC.

this is where his journey began, and where it ended.
Literally rewatch this whole show at least a few times per year... just doesnt get old!
Josh Boyes yeah show was amazing
Best teenage drama show ever
like marissa

It should have lasted longer than 4 seasons!
I agree! The OC is in a class all by itself.

Summer S.
He just had to let her go. All angels go to heaven.
Summer S. Ryan should’ve been with Theresa
House of Matrix 🤮🤮🤮

The OC is the best show ever. I have watched every single one of them :)
This scene always gets me 😥😥😥
The flashbacks made me real emotional
14 years ago since this aired, where does the time go?
GREATEST SHOW EVER!!!
I grew up in Newport. This show made me miss home even more.
The OC Kicks Ass!!! It's absolutely one of the best shows ever!!!
Hey, 13 years later, are you still alive??
@@johnpathadan 😂😂😂
Crazy. Goosebumps everytime
One of the best scenes
❤❤❤always loved this show😢
Anyone know the music that is playing when Ryan is having his “flashbacks” in the Cohen House?
I’ve been looking, did u ever find it ?
This scene always reminds me how painful saying goodbye to my ex-wife was.
just watched this episode again, cried through it, its so freaking sad!!!
These aren't real people, it's a made up story
Crazy to think that this comment is 15 years old
This show had a lot of potential.
Ryan move with the Cohen' s to go Burkley and Seth is the one that got away this is interesting how Ryan end to be in the place of the "first" kid
its like a joey/chandler type bromance
Why does Ryan age so much in the series? He starts out as an oversized 16 year old and ends up looking close to 30
My heart 💔
This show was so promising could’ve lasted way longer than it did I just think there were a couple of huge mistakes that ruined it
@dontcareabit I agree, although OTH seasons 1-4 is pretty awesome as well. Still...The OC holds a special placei nm yheart.
This is still a special scene
This is sad...

Like a cuter, slimmer, more clean cut version of Russell Crowe I guess.
Why did they all move out?
The boys went to college and the house was damaged by an earthquake. The parents bought their old house up in Berkeley in this episode
Why did Seth take a cab when he could of easily gone with his parents or Ryan since they were right there?
He literally says why he wanted to take the cab 😂😂😂😂
