7 months late to comment, but I agree. No doubt Marissa would have gotten Ryan in trouble. Remember that one time Ryan was on probation and Marissa brought alcohol and got pulled over. That was just one, just imagine everyday with her. Ryan would be living depressed, always saving her. With Taylor, she made Ryan actually happy.
@@macdee6040 maybe, but in her final episode she started to show signs of changing her behaviour. She told Julie she loved her. Unfortunately her death prevented her from exploring that growth.
In real life, *like and like* go the distance. Opposites attract for a little while, but once the fun exciting novelty wears off and the awkward silences start, they fizzle and die. "Opposites in love" has always been a bullshit, unrealistic Hollywood fantasy.
@@CheerfullyCynical829 Opposites attract works just fine in real life and in fiction. Its all about if you share values that will decide the long term health of your relationship. Like and Like is no guarantee of relationship success as like opposites attract it has its own unique pitfalls. For instance, two people who are like one another could find that being in a long term relationship with someone so similar to them to be unfulfilling.
Marissa was intense and complicated but she had to deal with situations to ugly for a teenager, it’s normal. Ryan put her in trouble sometimes too, but the thing between them was so much special than with Taylor, they connected. Taylor is just, a little bit annoying and childish.
I agree! Ryan and Marissa were connected and if she was still alive, he would have chosen Marissa. I think when Taylor was trying to pursue Ryan, it was funny but after she did her annoying.
This girl is not Ryan's type. He likes girls that are edgy, and are complex. Theresa, Mandy, Lindsey and of course MARRISA. TAYLOR just acts like a child. Silly. The last season really had a lot of meaningless storylines. They killed MARRISA, and tried to replace her with a nonsensical love interest. Then the show died.
Well. Those were the types of girls to get him in trouble. He went through too much with Merissa and Theresa made him leave school for her and other shit. It’s just too complicated for him and all the drama was just getting old. But with Taylor he was happy and their relationship was just wholesome. I fell in love with a guy that was the opposite of what I preferred. You never know who you might fall in love with and that’s the best thing that happened to Ryan. He fell in love with someone who didn’t get him in trouble 24/7, she’s geeky, weird and adorable, that’s just what he needed.
She is just the cutest and the exact type of light and breezy girl that someone as intense as Ryan needed. Marissa was so dark.

"Look, I've never read a romance novel before-"
"shocker.."
haha I love them together!
Ryan's face is priceless in the last minute, like if he think: 'what the hell Taylor was doing with her ex-husband in their bed????'
"They could never make a move about that" and then 2015 and 50 shades of gray happened
LOL...That Taylor cracks me up!
She's so pretty.
