Some people say they were actually dating during 2003-2004 which was when they filmed the first season of The OC. I'm not sure if it's true, but they have so much chemistry and you can see it, just the way they look at each other on the show and in interviews. I have watched so many other shows and I have never seen something like this. It's either really good acting or there were real feelings involved. It seems like they are in love and you don't get this fake feeling that you get when you watch other couples, even looking at other shows and movies they have been in, they have never had that kind of chemistry with other actors.
Tbh marissa as a whole was totally toxic even with all her relationships. With Luke, Alex and volchok. ryan got involved. With ryan both oliver and Johnny got involved. It's like she had to get someone in between all the time.
She always wanted Ryan. The only person she loved romantically. Oliver and Johny were either crazy or in love with her. Outside of Alex and Ryan all of them treated her extremely poorly.
