The only thing I’ve noticed about raid days is that if you try to host a raid on poke genie, the wait time for your lobby to be up is usually so high that by the time you’re up, the raid is gone. But definitely gonna try!
it depends on the demand of the pokemon, since 1k people were going quickly to necrozma, it took 5 minutes on average. Sorry for my bad English, I'm Brazilian.

@5:40 during rayquaza elite raid day, i only did 4 raids and managed 2 shinies (2 in a row). on the other hand during lucario day i did 20 raids and only got 1 shiny, its all about luck/rg really. then again i already had a shiny rayquaza so of course the luck rolls towards the things you dont really need.

Looks like you're gonna need to use premium raid passes to get the required mega energy since the Timed Research gives you a meteorite but not 200+ energy. Unfortunate since I have a free to play friend that just recently got into the game and I was looking forward to getting her a mega ray tomorrow evening. We'll see how many passes she has saved up I guess!

I'm in the "completely missed out" camp. I worked right over Elite raid day, and nowhere near a park so there wasn't one in the distance to remote to if I could! I also missed the meteorite the very first time around so I've never actually been able to Mega evolve one.

I went 1 for 60 on Necrozma. The 1 was on my alt account. I gambled using my last August 2016 Pokemon from my main account to trade with my alt account for it. It was shiny but a 91%. But I was at comic con for marvel, remote raided for Lucario. First 3 were shiny (all crap IVs of course). Have a lucky 96% and a non shiny hundo. It’s all luck
My only shlundo is Rayquaza. I freaked out doing the lucky trade. I only have 2 hundo legendary shinies (but they’re amazing with Rayquaza and Reshiram). I was able to add dragon ascent during the botched event but I was hustling to popular places in Southern California

Niantic is not gonna let us put dragon ascent on shadow rayquaza cause the only reason is so that you can mega it and you can’t mega shadows so it’s not gonna happen sadly as they would considerate it “pointless” since we can’t mega it or they will considerate it “too broken”
its a possibility that we can use meteorite on the shadow rayquaza, it will get the move but obviously the mega won't be available for it unless purified

Ice still the best counter as it is double weak to ice. Make sure u have a decent strong ice team tho. You don't need to bring mega rayquaza to the raid. It will still give you the candy bonus.

Each of the weather trio have a boost based on…weather boosts. Primal Groudon boosts Ground, Fire, and Grass (sunny weather). Primal Kyorge boosts water, electric, and bug (rainy weather). Lastly Mega Rayquaza boosts dragon, flying, and psychic (windy weather).
What's going to happen to Shadow Groudon when the take over happens? Will we have to wait until they put Groudon in Shadow raids? I think I have 2 radars saved in quests, wondering if i should complete them quick to get more groudons before the 8th 🤔

One way to remember type boosts for certain mega (most others go by their types)
Sunny/clear = Groudon
Rainy = Kyogre
Windy = Rayquaza

As others have mentioned, it depends on the raid boss! If there is a lot of demand, it's very quick to host a lobby
Mega ray boosts psychic also btw (useful for necrozma spawning during certain events with wild dragon types lol)

No. It must have "dragon ascent" to mega evolve going forward. If u desire "breaking swipe" on it, unlock its 2nd charge move.
Nope, you need to have Dragon Ascent on Rayquaza in order for it to mega evolve. Just add a 2nd charge move for the other move 👍
