Very informative episode. I think its important for players to educate themselves and stop being ignorate in regards to Pension funds and the people that can represent them. Its also important for Players to start looking at themselves as a brand rather than an individual person. Football only lasts for 5 years max in SA thus its critical to build a brand while still playing in order to be financially sustainable after retirement.
Its sad that clubs take kids from a development structure and don't even compensate that specific structure at all. Some academies don't even want money. some just want kits, balls, cones and other equipment because it helps develop more kids.
