I think that shall come automatically once you are comfortable conversing with another individual. Because that's what IELTS speaking essentially is. There is a conversation with the examiner. I suggest you practice with a partner on the variety of topics like health, sports etc. The examiner picks up a topic from the conversation with the student itself
@@Gayathriavula370 it means past present future, in the second part of the of the speaking exam you can give 3 examples to lenghten your speaking, for example you are asked about a gift that you received, you can say a gift that you received when you were a child, a gift that you received from your best friend and a gift you received recently, always give 3 examples in the second part of the speaking test to make it longer because you will be given 1-2 minutes to speak.

It was a great practice, I used the phrase "when in Rome do as the Romans do" when i was telling the examiner that i used to wear my traditional clothing but now i am working in an international environment so i wear what other people wear.
It was really difficult in part 2 and part 3.part2 was about "Describe an occasion where someone you know didn't tell the truth." and part 3 was about Honesty. I only tried the past on part 2 and didn't get to the present and future cause I ran out of words😢 part 1 was easy it's about crowded places.

This is an excellent clear cut video about the first part of IELTS speaking. Most of the videos highlight about exaggerating the "Self intro" section like I am from bla bla town , bla bla country and the country is there in "this" part of the world for the question "where are you from". This is the first ever video on youtube which is perfect about the "actual" examination. Jay never failed to impress in any of his videos !!

Hi E2 language team, I would like to thank you and Jay,. You were of a great help. I finished my speaking test test yesterday. I started my preparation with you (I wish it was face to face though) 3days prior to the exam! I wish to add a point from my experience. During the exam, the examiner shifts from one topic to another so swiftly that we have to be very attentive to grab the key idea and speak about it! There's no scope for saying- 'how can you ask me this question because I thought we were discussing about something else!' while I was answering to something about children, she asked me if it's okay to borrow things from others! Overall, it was a good experience. Thanks Jay ☺️.

I love you, my favorite teachers. Just got the results of my ielts attended at 23th of february. 7.0 everything except writing, where it was 5.5; overall is 6.5. thats weird because i was following Jay's strategy of writing. task sounded like: some people think that government should not fund art, while others think that it is important. describe your point of view. I wrote introduction, paragraph 1 was about 1st opinion, 2nd is about 2nd opinion and third is about my opinion about this subject. And there was a conclusion summarising the task without new ideas. I'm confused because I did my best to implement complex sentences (about 6 types total) and complex language :/ Maybe I should have had chose 1 opinion and stick to it?
Was it written there to discuss both views and give your opinion or the question was as is or the same as what you have written above? :) Because if it is discuss both views and give your opinion, it would be like this: P1: intro + no stand yet P2: not fund art (should include two arguments with reason and one example each) P3: fund art (should include two arguments and one example each) P4: conclusion plus your stand wether should or should not But if it's not do you agree or disagree and was asking you which do you agree on, it would be like this: P1: intro + agree or disagree P2: argument 1 + reason + example P3: argument 2 + reason + example P4: argument 3 + reason + example P5: conclusion and a summary. Of your stand with the three arguments Disclaimer though, i am not an expert. :) hope this helps somehow :)
@@preciousreyes513 it was like I mentioned above. And I guess you're right that they lowered my score because of this. That sucks because I am used to think the way I wrote it, it easier to understand opinions but yet ielts thinks that answer like this is incorrect....
@@TheZezaiment i completely agree with you. The lexical resource and grammar criteria is easier to achieve compared to task achievement, and cohesion and coherence. Hi Jay. Thank you so much for your videos. Did not use PPf and was freaking out cos I finished answering my question and there was still time but the flow and use of English was good. Scored an 8.5 in speaking, 8 in listening, 7.5 in writing and 7.5 in writing. 8 overall. I am a native English speaker from Nigeria but your tips really helped in the exam. Hi.. That's great.. Can you please suggests me how to improve speaking part
I think that shall come automatically once you are comfortable conversing with another individual. Because that's what IELTS speaking essentially is. There is a conversation with the examiner. I suggest you practice with a partner on the variety of topics like health, sports etc. The examiner picks up a topic from the conversation with the student itself

I had my IELTS speaking yesterday. Your tips were really helpful.
She asked questions about accommodation, history, help, and advice.
Cue card was about help. I helped someone, who was that person, what kind of help, how that person respond to my help and how did I feel after helping that person.
In the third part help was linked to international relations with rich and poor countries.

I'm confused because I did my best to implement complex sentences (about 6 types total) and complex language :/
Maybe I should have had chose 1 opinion and stick to it?
Go for a remark
@@oluwafunmilayokunlere8458 how, what do you mean?
Was it written there to discuss both views and give your opinion or the question was as is or the same as what you have written above? :)
Because if it is discuss both views and give your opinion, it would be like this:
P1: intro + no stand yet
P2: not fund art (should include two arguments with reason and one example each)
P3: fund art (should include two arguments and one example each)
P4: conclusion plus your stand wether should or should not
But if it's not do you agree or disagree and was asking you which do you agree on, it would be like this:
P1: intro + agree or disagree
P2: argument 1 + reason + example
P3: argument 2 + reason + example
P4: argument 3 + reason + example
P5: conclusion and a summary. Of your stand with the three arguments
Disclaimer though, i am not an expert.
