Wrote my test 2 weeks ago and scored a band 9 in speaking. Your tips helped me so much. The most important speaking tip is to speak naturally, resist the urge to use elaborate words in a bid to impress the examiner. Plus it's okay to repeat words sometimes. Once, I caught myself about to use the word "efficient" for maybe the third time in the test. I hesitated for a bit, scanning my head for a synonym. None came fast enough, so I blurted out "efficient" again. Didn't impact my score one bit. Pretend you are having a meaningful conversation with an older, wiser friend; your ideas will flow naturally and your choice of words will not sound forced. Goodluck.
This lady speaks so naturally, no use of high sounding words. Her vocabulary is very friendly and i feel relax watching her. Others just put fear in me

Gave the exam on 16th just imitating her way and Priyanka Chopra video for confidence. Got 7 band overall in 1 month preparation and 1st attempt.. i am an Indian, non native speaker without any expoaure to this language.. If i can, definitely you can❤❤
I just got my IELTS result and I found out that I got an 8 in speaking test. So my advices would be: 1. Don't freak out. Just calm down because u got this. 2. Don't jam up your head with tons of informations and tips because they will be of no use. Just learn some important tips 3. Don't try to be something else because u can't hold up to that for a long period of time. From my personal experience: I didn't use very fancy words or phrases. Often times my answers were really short (which I wouldn't recommend) but it's okay. Most students freak out for the 2 min conversation. I just remember talking without actually making sm sense and I even skipped one question because I forgot ab it. So it's very normal if u can't complete that 2 min. Don't stress. Finally good luck ❤
Part 1: Q3: I like taking photos of others, taking landscape photos. But on the contrary, I don't like other people taking photos of me because I have low self-esteem because of my appearance. Above all, the photos other people take of me are not what I want. Especially when my whole family goes out, my parents take pictures of me and I look very short and fat in the pictures, but in real life I'm not that bad. Q4,5,6: I really like animals. Especially cats and dogs. I only was allowed play with them when I visited my grandparents' house. As there were lots of cute cats and dogs. I would say that I could play with them all day long if my mom didn't drive me home. But my mother was allergic with those animal so I was not allowed to raise them in my house. Q7: It depends on where I go. For example, if I climb mountain or go picnic, I will bring a hiking backpack because it is compact and can hold a lot of things, but to be honest, it is not beautiful at all. If I go to a wedding, I want to bring a bag just to hold makeup items like lipstick, blush, or eyeliner. 8. I would say that I carry bag everday, as it's very convenience to put things, and you know what, almost all women want to carry something once they go out. 9. In my opinion, women like to buy all kinds of bags, as I said before that it will depend on where we go to choose the size of the bag, or style, and even to consider whether the bag suits our outfit or not. 10. When I was a child, I always looked forward to seeing my birthday as that day, I didn't have to do housework, you know, my mother is very strict, she requested us, me and my brother, to do housework everyday, but of course jusst simple ones, since we were little child, like cleaning the floor, washing the dishes, taking trash out, etc. And I always complained that to my mom that why I had to do so while my friends not. So, on my birthday, I were house chores-free 11. Oh, it's totally different. When I was a child, I didn't have to do anything on my birthday, but now, I am the person do almost everything on my birthday, as I like preparing my own special day from organize my birthday like cooking a nice dinner, ordering a birthday cake, buying other stuffs, flowers, snacks, fizzy drinks, to clean the house after the event. I used to celebrate with my neigbor friends but now each of them are on different places, so I share my birthday party with my family members. 12. Well, I did like give and receive birthday card as it shows the others' love for me and my love for others as well, and mostly at the time when I was a child, we hadn't had technology things to chat to convey our feelings, so oral or written things are the ways to express our thoughts, feelings to others. But nowadays, I could say that I rely on smartphone too much, so I just send Happy birthday text to others.
I did catch one tiny mistake, i.e. her using 'news' instead of 'the news' to refer to the media. But other than that I agree - she's as close to perfect as you can get as an ESL student. From what I've heard so far, I believe getting to Band 8.5 shouldn't be a problem for me, but listening to her made me realise that it's okay to be composed, relaxed, and just let the conversation flow naturally. You don't have to wow the examiner with your 'tempo'. Plus, she avoided big or academic words, which I thought is a prerequisite for the more advanced levels of communication, but she used everyday expressions with such ease and grace that at no point did I feel like her vocabulary was basic. All in all, thanks for the video, it was highly educational, and your 'test subject' was amazing. What she did might seem easy to some, but it's so not.

I'll be thrilled to hear from you.
Hi there! There is no way to predict what questions you will receive on your exam day. You need to learn all topics and essay structures to be fully prepared for your test. Best of luck with your test!
I loved everything you both are speaking. I prefer spontaneous speaking, which brings us to a native speaker mode

If i can, definitely you can❤❤
Congratulations!
wow, she is perfect from every angle.
I just got my IELTS result and I found out that I got an 8 in speaking test. So my advices would be:
1. Don't freak out. Just calm down because u got this.
2. Don't jam up your head with tons of informations and tips because they will be of no use. Just learn some important tips
Part 1:
Q3: I like taking photos of others, taking landscape photos.
So, on my birthday, I were house chores-free
That’s was amazing! One day I want to try participating this.
Hello Chris, thanks very much for your help in the speaking task,i passed it because of you and i got a band 7.5..thanks once again.God bless u
Well done!
