I remember I could not be able to talk even for 1 minute but with this method, I can go on and on for 5 -10 min. Great work I appreciate it.
I applied ppf method in my test...that gave me lots of content to talk on...and the timing was just abt right for me to be comfortable without stuttering or stumbling for ideas..
I got an 8.never ezpected tht score.thankyoy jay n alex and all of e2 team.
OMG Jay the most insane thing happened today.. I was going to the exam center as I was listening to this particular video..
Surprisingly the question I was asked was exactly this one about movies..
I was mind blown and my tension decreased as I knew exactly what to do.
Thank you so much for these videos ❤️

Thank you so much Alex 🤗. You played a significant role in making me pass IELTS with an overall of 8.0......L 8.5, R 7.5, W 7.0 and S 8.0.... I sincerely give God all the glory 🙌. If I can do it, you can do it too. Trust me....study hard and pray harder 🙏. God will do it for you too. Amen 🙏
jay and alex both of you guys doing really excellent . specially when jay said how to describe the topic and divided in past present and future that moment was game changer because it helps someone to carry the conversation rather then stop ... highly appreciated
I had a band 7 with only 2 weeks worth of review relying on your videos only, thank you so much!
I’ll go to my speaking test in 4 hours! Wish me luck to get band 8 ❤️
How much you got?
Did u get it

Just got my result, which I used PPF,got 8 in speaking. Thank you sooo much Jay and Alex.
You both assisted me greatly with your methods of teaching particularly in the part 2 of the speaking test. I achieved a band score of 7.5. I'm really grateful
I just came out after my speaking test and this is the exact topic I got. of course there was a extra added part too but I was shocked for few seconds 😃 coz I watched it few hours before the exam. Thank you very much for these tips and explanations. ❤
Wow and how was it?
I would like to thank you. With your strategies, tips & tricks I have cleared my IELTS in first time with 8 band score in listening & speaking. Overall got 7.5 ! Thaaank you E2 IELTS, Alex & Jay!
Thank you for your marvellous videos! I love the structural approach to all the tasks of the exam. It certainly helps!
Thank you for the exceptionally helpful video. I am such a talkative person but when it comes to exams, I am lost for words, mainly because the normal way I speak is just not suitable.
Your videos really give me the confidence to improve and help my friends who are going for the exams.
Thank you team E2! Got an 8 in speaking, couldn't be happier. You guys rock🎉
I've been an IELTS teacher for a number of years now, and I really like the PPF method. And I agree with everything you say here; however, I just went to a two day seminar by the British Council and I specifically asked about the need to follow the dot points. The trainer, a former examiner himself, was adamant that you had to address the dot points in your response. However, in this video Alex says--and I might add that I have heard from another former examiner who agrees with Alex--that the dot points do not matter as long as you address the topic. So as a teacher, I'm still slightly confused. Cheers though, keep up the good work.
Thanks for sharing. Interesting to hear! In terms of scoring, addressing the dot points is not part of it. But from the test writers’ view, I guess they would expect that their dot points provide a good framework to present a 2-minute talk. And they do! PPF is just another way to approach it - and provides a little security blanket for those feeling stressed or frozen in the exam. Whatever the strategy, the test is assessing language skills so these are important beyond everything else. 👍 What are your thoughts?
@@E2IELTS agreed. I think PPF actually forces the speaker to use a good grammatical range.
My test is within 10 hours.
And Jay, your videos are helping me alot.
Thank you so much man.
I hope the test goes well.
what band did you get?
my speaking test is on coming Monday , and I am following your tips . wish me good luck

Alex and Jay you both are fabulous as teachers. Thank you.
Ey guys! Jay & Alex. Did my IELTS Speaking exam 2 days ago! & just like to say that your videos on Speaking strats & stuff were so helpful! The PPF works! Did not ran out of things to say. I’m not sure if what score I got but I quite confident that I did Ok. Surprisingly, some questions you guys have here (samples /mock ups) were spot on! Great job! Thanks for helping us conquer fears & wrong assumptions about IELTS! Last 3 exams tomorrow! Still reviewing here on YT & from my booklet! Awesome job guys! Keep it up!
Which booklet are you using?
Thanks a lot Jay & Alex
I got a 7.5 in speaking :)
Woooo!!!! 🎉💪👍🌟🌟🌟
Any advice for speaking? I have my speaking test tomorrow.
Thank you Jay, I have tried to understand the PPF method by watching different videos, but I couldn’t understand it. Right now thanks to you and Alex, It is a piece of cake and clear.
Wow, I really like your videos! I have an IELTS exam next month, and I really hope to get band 8 in it. Hope this and other videos will help. Thanks again!!!
I am having my speaking test tomorrow, i hope i can make it using some of your tips.
Jay and Alex, wish me good luck.
Benjamin Samuel all the best
@@orjiizuchukwu1365 thank you my brother.
How'd you do?
I don’t really comment much but I wanna say the first movie that came to my mind when you started the topic was The shawshank redemption. I paused the video and wrote the key points and then practiced it for a while when I continued the video it turned out you chose the same movie. I felt like someone is correcting my mistakes. What a great help and coincidence😀
Was really helpful advice because I always more round and round in one idea as lack of more ideas.
2 min..silence for those folks who are trying to find mistake of jay😀😀😀😀 he is just pro in this field😎
If it's less than 2 they'll notify us..
On a more serious note, he's too good 👍
It should be Jay's mistake actually. Noun of noun structure is used for inanimate things
Hi Jay & Alex, Greetings !! Thanks a lot to you both for these wonderful video lessons on speaking (PPF method especially), reading tips & writing methods, i watched & followed these videos and have attained overall 8.5 score with L-9, R-9, S-8.5 & W-7.5 in first attempt (GT). I must appreciate your wonderful work & may almighty bless you guys with more strength to excel :) regards !!
Thank you Jay and Alex.. The part wise tip you shared was truly helpful for me gaining some confident.. Though the question for me did not really helped to use PPF method, I get the right string using few of your practice responses. Keep doing the good work. Much appreciated.
Omg. ''Shawshank Redemption'' was the first movie coming to my mind as soon as I see that the question was about a movie
SAME!!
I have gotten addicted to your tuts. I hope i get the band I need.
Got my result overall 6.5 thanks to both of these lovely people .. i highly recommend them listen to them very very carefully if you're serious and need good band score
The guy in the film is named Alex as well, who climbs mountain after mountain, "free solo"
Thank you E2 for all the help. I'm about to start my speaking I hope I get a band 7.5 and above
Jay's expression makes it all.
Bravo Jay and Thanks 🙏
Hey reminds me of Jessie from the breaking bad.
PPF: past present future.main story in past - present-few sentence in future
I just few minutes from my actual test, you guys helped me a lot!!! I thanked god you made this video!
Good luck!
How did you do?
You guys are like hosts from BBC world news 😃 So professional
Omg such a great video i have just found.. i was struggling with no ideas in part 2
am preparing for ilts and am learning a lot from . thank you
Thanks for d video. Alex , my question is, " since the question was to write about a movie, if I speak about 2 as Jay did, will one be penalized?
No - the examiner is scoring you based on the marking criteria only. 👍
So helpful method PPF, I used it and I hadn't finished my talk in speaking part 2 she stopped me ok my topic was a person who you have memory with in school, i didn't even see What is the bullet points, i just saw topic and write my 2 classmates that i have memory with and start speaking about PPF about them.
Jay is really a good actor.
It's really interesting......I enjoyed during the watching this video.Thank both of you...
1:39 I Thought Of Speaking About 'The Shawshank Redemption', And Right At 4:45 Jay Read My Mind. 😬
for this part I suggest to design a story by using PPF approach really it helped me a lot.....
Thanx for this video, its helping a lot❤
I am beginning to prepare for my test but guess what your videos are very much interesting and l am not bored at all watching and listening
I love your videos and find it a great learning to everybody. Thanks you..😊

Thanks Jay l really enjoyed this strategy you really a Genius Jay. Your tips are helping a lot would like to try it also.hopefully l will manage thaxs to Alex too you are a great examiner.
GUYS.. this method is 100% sure shot, i have given IELTS 3 times and my score in speaking is 7.5 in all three attempts.. just because i follow this PPF. i am always lacking in writing 6, 6.5, 6.5 but when it comes to speaking, no one can challenge this method.. its superb...
God bless these guies. U r doing amazingly well. Am assured of my desire band score. Amen
Thank you for the insight
I really liked this ppf method. It worked incredibly well for me 👌👌👌
this is very helpful thank you so much!

so how was the result?
Thanks jay you have been of great help in Ielts exam
Jay!! you were so funny while talking about this guy who climbed mountain...i enjoyed...
Yes, it was so funny.
Truly helps!Tried on my own!Thank u!
What are the odds that the first movie I thought about and started planning was The Shawshank Redemption before he said it :D
Guy ➡️mountain ➡️mountain➡️ home ➡️bed & finally jay’s that silly look
Im just dead 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Interesting ! ❤️
Thank you for sharing 😊
How can we answer using PPF method for a question like,
Talk about a historical event,
> What is the event?
> When did you first learn about it?
> How did it interest you? and
> Would you like to read more about it in future?
Ppf is not mandatory but good to go with. If you can talk abt 1 idea with a wide range of vocabulary and can make an interesting story then its ok
@@Zxc18 thank you.
Jay and Alex kindly answer my query.
That’s a perfect topic for PPF! Talk about a historical event - eg the moon landing, describe how you learnt about it, how you feel about space travel now and what you think about travelling to Mars in the future :) (something like that!) What would you talk about?
@@E2IELTS thank you!
Thankyou helped alot
Glad it helped
Thanks to you , i got 7.0 On average on my ielts test thanks!
Congratz👍
Congrats
MeteorX Gaming Awesome! Congrats! 🎉🎉
how should we use PPF method in this q-card question? please do reply anyone who can help. 1. talk about a period of history about which you would like to study or read more? 2.talk about a poisonous plant grown in your country? 3. talk about interesting law government of your country has implemented?
Woww, this video helped massively
I think it's not easy for one to think about 3 different topics in 60 sec. Moreover, if the word a move, or a recent event you enjoyed is the topic then task achievement marks could only be gained by just focusing on a single topic rather discussion 3 movies or events.
THANKS FOR MOTIVATION
Hi Jay and Alex. Your videos are really helpful to me. I have a question - Is it necessary to maintain eye contact with the examiner or we can simply give answers looking at somewhere else?
It’s not part of your score. Just do what you feel comfortable with. Most people have some eye contact but you don’t need to maintain it - the examiner probably won’t be looking at you the whole time either 👍 Good luck!
This was a great help! Many thanks for helping me reach the target
Love you Jay ❤️
The ppf method makes it look easy.thank you.
thank you for sharing
it helps a lot!
This is just so so effective way to learn. Love your work. Thanks
Thanks!
What would you do if the topic in 2nd part involves a timeline in it? Like 'Speak about an exercise you would like to do in the future?' How to use PPF for such kind of topics?
I’d start like this:
I’m going to tell you about an exercise I’d like to do in future. Let me start by saying that I’ve always been a pretty active person. Even when I was a little kid, I used to blah blah blah. Recently I started swimming, which I love because blah blah. But anyway, in future, what I’d like to take up is blah blah blah.’
🤗👍
What would you say?
@@E2IELTS if cue card is like this " An important message you recently received" then how can i use PPF?
For the first and only time i can correct jay, shawshank redemption was about “ Hope”
I like how you try to emulate a real scenario
Hi Jay & Alex, Your videos are really helpful, I want to join the only speaking sessions... Please elaborate it more...
Going to give my speaking test tomorrow wish me luck!
My test in hours. I'm anxious.

How did you do
@@diwinchester7965 I got 8. It went very smooth. Although my speaking was a bit heh they asked me to talk about "Board Games" and I barely have played many I struggled a bit but managed well haha
@@rahullovesthepayne8690 WOOOWOWOWOW THIS IS INCREDIBLE ANY TIPS PLEASEEE🥺🥺
Thanks for your channel. I did my test on Nov 11 and got an 8 for speaking. 7.5 overall
🌟👍🎉 Awesome!
Did you the same method ppF in your speaking.
wonderful strategy! Tks for SHARING
0:07 That’s my reaction when it comes speaking part 2
Lovely Jay your approach is very smart
Love the expression of Alex 2:17 as she hears Jay's story 😂😂
It says describe"a" movie though. Will we be credited for providing more than one example?
I too was thinking of speaking about Free Solo!! PPF Strategy seems to be a good one :)
Hello, I'm a bit confused about Jay's second response to the task "describe a movie you enjoyed". The phrase "a movie" suggest one movie, but Jay went ahead d to describe two different movie; is this acceptable?
I was also thinking same
but in cue card examinar asked to us about a movie. only one but you tell 3 in past, present, future.
