How would this work if you can’t use a canned alignment? I have a part that needs to be aligned through two threaded holes in the datum face. The steps to align it right now are plane (part face), circle (center c-bore), and a line that is constructed through 2 threaded holes (inspected as cylinders). How would you do this? My goal is a manual alignment and cnc run.
The plane would be the top. You need to establish a line even if it is going through 2 circles. Then you can construct an intersection point for your origin. The method I used was a simplified version. But you need a plane established, then line established, then you can set the origin anywhere. Hope this helps.
MCOSMOS has the ability to measure right from a cad model. You import it in then select the area you want to measure. I’m still learning this ability so I can’t really guide y’all step by step. Someday soon I hope!
After inspecting first part , there are 10 more same parts need be inspected, can I change or edit this program to jump over manual alignment to run dedicated alignment? how to do it simple way?
I’m not sure of an easy way. If you use a fixed setup( vise or locating pins) I would right the program to do the alignment utilizing cnc on. You might could try editing out the alignment steps for next parts. But I don’t know if I would trust that the alignment is correct from part to part.

Also, How can I replace the function of the button "go to"? I'm telling you because my CMM controller is very basic (i thing so). I only have 4 buttons: emergency stop, one white (TS i guess), one red and one green (Measure mode as i rember). i dont care if you don't respond, thanks so much for your work!
When you measure a circle, the number under the diameter in the results section is the deviation from perfect roundness. I’m not sure about the texture. I usually use a profilometer or surface roughness gage for that.

your Model is different with him his CMM too Old, your is same with me. Our CMM is all in one Controller.
Sorry, I’ve seen your style controller but I haven’t used it. You might need to click in the software under “Machine” drop down to find “GOTO”.
