Thank you for this excellent presentation, Dr. Kate. Also, I enjoyed seeing your wonderful dog at the beginning. I’ve told several friends to check out your channel. Need to follow up with them. If they are smart, they will be watching you.

I'm 78 and in pretty good shape. I have a Thoracic kyphosis so that make many things a bit more challenging for sure. Exercising properly is so important especially now. It's a magic key.

    Push-ups? Are you freaking serious?

You bet! Push ups are a great, full-body exercise that older adults can utilize to build muscle and increase bone density. The wonderful thing about push ups is that they can be modified for many levels. For example, if kneeling push ups are too much, place hands on the wall and take a step back to decrease the difficulty. Over time, one can build up strength to complete push ups in different starting positions.

I can do planks easier than floor pushups. Start with wall pushups.

Sadly this does not work for seniors we are 73 and 82 you must go slower you must continually be aware we start the day stiff. Too may speak to seniors over 50. We are healthy confined due to COVID and arthritis SLOws us down. We want to do this but slow down build I will keep watching?

Hi Kathy! Thanks for your feedback! I completely agree! You can definitely start slowly and build up. Or maybe you never build up to this exact pace, but you can utilize the same exercises/concepts. I recommend looking at each exercise and then pausing the video to allow yourself ample time to complete the exercises and rest as needed.

Go to the upper right corner of the video, click on the “gear”. Click on the drop down “playback speed”, click on .5. This will slow the video for you!
