I listen this man every day ever since I found it a week ago. lol. he's awesome! the BEST!
I remember Johnny from the late 50's when he and his brother had a band and played in Billerica MA. Johnny and his brother's band played at my wedding in Stoneham in 1959, and later I had the chance to see him perform in Toronto. Nice to see him again, though he's lost a little weight. :) I used to like when he sang like Hank Snow., would love to see that again.
He is amazing he's got it down 100%! And it's not too hard to do.

Back in 1979 I played bass for Johnny White on a couple of road trips and worked the Penny circuit around the Boston area. One of the greatest yodel acts of all time, Johnny never seemed to get the recognition he so richly deserved. He was a fine singer all the way around and in my opinion, easily rivaled his contemporary WWVA Saturday Night Jamboree regular, yodeler Kenny Roberts. Johnny also appeared as a guest on that radio show many times. This is the first time I've heard him in 40 years and I must say he sounds every bit as good as I remember him. He hasn't lost a lick.

Yodelling seems very therapeutic and especially listening to Johnny White it relaxes one immensely. I find it very fascinating how some folk yodel so well! Absolutely superb to listen to him!

I worked with Johnny in Billerica, Mass. at a place called The Lakeside Lounge. My band was "Country Revolution". Johnny had an amazing ability to warm up a room with his talent. It was a pleasure to have worked with him share in his music.

My first public singing was at a Radio HK contest with my ukelele "I wanna be a Cowboys' sweetheart" (a la Patti Page). I came 2nd. Sweet memories, a lifetime ago.
My brother was friends with Johnny White when they were kids.. teens.. when he started singing in clubs we followed him.. awesome. love the yodelling
I have known Johnny since I was a little girl I am now 77. My dad was his milkman way back then. He is a very kind man and a fantastic yodeler!

I asked my father, who has been yodeling for over 85 years( now 94 yrs.) what he thought of him....he says "By God, he is a GOOD as it gets".
It sure was nice seeing Johnny on this video, when I was a kid my parent's (back in the early 1970's)went to go see him somewhere in MA and they bought is 8 track. Well I listen to that all the time and just loved his style.
Loved to see him in concert.

The drummer's head bobbing has me mesmerized..Does he sing songs with words and yodel like Jimmy Rodgers?He's good .... Is he still alive? I hope so.... We need yodeling more than ever.

Great! Is this the same Johnny White who teamed during the '60s with Bob Blum in Kansas City? Indeed the Johnny White on Fortune (1950) with Skeets McDonald (of "Tattoed Lady" fame) as vocalist was a different artist!
Been on a yodeling kick, wow this guy's the best American yodeler I've heard. If you dig this, check out Oech's die Dritten, Takeo Ischi and the king himself, Franzl Lang. :)

his name is John Leblanc in French leblanc means the white .that's how he has the stage name Johny white said my grandmother I'd like to know we're he is myself he's my grandfather.
