Im russian, and it angers me when old american men go after young russian girls in their 20s. its disgusting. and im talking about the ones who in their 40s, 50s, and 60s. Tho, i can understand if the young girl is in love with the older guy. But i hate girls mindsets when they know the guy has money, she will go after him like a butterfly. Its so wrong. Money doesnt buy happines. First of all, health comes first in life. I encourage everyone to go after the ones that you love. And i seriously encourage old men to go after women THEIR age please. Amazing group of self-righteous westerners in the comments I see, who believe in their heart of hearts that they are the ones who've been progressing. (I speak as an American) Though some would say that an androgynous society is better and more progressive, most other world inhabitants would disagree. I lived in Russia, and married a Russian woman, am very much happy in our marriage, and have learned so much about her culture. I'm not rich. She didn't want to move here. She did because she believes in commitment, to keep a marriage and supporting her husband. You think Russian women are self-centered? That is your judgement. You are projecting. Russians are not smiley fake-happy like Americans. They are genuine, and would discover this if you get to know them. Let me ask you, why do you fear beauty? Or maybe your idea of beauty is different than theirs. They feel that beauty is their role. Maybe the porn industry wouldnt exist if you and the west actually don't like beauty. I would advise to be an observer of different cultures with curiosity, rather than having an attitude of superiority. Russia and the East have tolerated this attitude for decades until very recently. We may have crossed the line. You may think Russians are lost with propaganda, but I tell you it is the West that is lost. You know it, and you feel it. You see it all around you. We have been propagandized far more than any other culture.. for decades. Stop judging souls that have been born into their respective cultures, belief systems and ideas. Seek understanding.

+RLR PLP Of course not. Im married to a Russian woman. I am free to do whatever I want. Im not based just on "making money for wasting it the next second I make it". I am a responsible consumer so I dont need to think of making easy money every second of my life. I have more important things to care about. Im not on any fanatism, like religion (money included), football fan or actor/actress/singers/bands etc.
On the other hand not all Russian women are like that. American women were unlucky of being born in a country which only good is money (even the money of others and do not hesitate to shoot or kill somebody if they have something they want/like). Im not saying also that all American girls are the same even though they have it more difficult because of "the culture they are born in". I have American girl-friends of every type (the majority just materialistic as their society, and the minority are aware women). In Russia, unfortunately for them the younger women (and also men) are blinded by the fake promises of the American culture of consumism (this word is so close to comunism...) that is destroying human values across the globe.

It is totally the woman's responsibility to work, clean the house, doll up and look good for her prince charming! The men need only have a fat wallet and they can be 50lbs overweight! These views, if they represent the current Russian ones, are about 50 years out of date. Unfortunately, woman today often have to also bring home the bacon as men are unable to find jobs, are too ill or leave for a younger edition and the children must then be theirs to raise and worry about while he runs off with another. If the marriage fails it has to be Her fault because she gained a pound or two and maybe added 10 years to her age! If the children are a mess it is her fault too. She also must be very well educated and always, always defer to her man! The man has no ability to do anything nurturing or socially beneficial without his woman guiding him! So far woman's lib and equality of opportunity have been rejected here by most of those Russian woman. No wonder Western men would want such partners and if one could be found who would not want a person to always please and never contradict as well as work like hell to for the family!

A woman should be whatever she wants to be! I like to be elegant, not to much makeup, dress good. Be strong & have a good sense of humour & enjoy time with family or friends, inspire when possible. Good food & a glass of the fizzy stuff, enjoying being a woman. But it's all about respect. I personally dislike people who are loud, let others be heard. This is an incredibly sincere and honest documentary. I recommend it to all men trying to find an Eastern European woman for a loving and lasting relationship . I have learned so much about Russian/Ukranian women and what they truly want. I understand these women even more which will help me find my bride eventually.

Although I think that women's needs and desires are universal, I think perhaps that Russian women and men tend to be a bit on the traditional side and this is part of the reason that the concept of LGBT is such a hard pill for them to swallow. Years of isolation in the USSR is probably the greatest factor, It is the same dynamic in China

My mom and dad are from Russia, moved to Canada 30 years ago. They can tell you this: even Russians aren’t perfect. Russians also tend to have too much pride, whether man or woman. Russians are not better than any other race, but they definitely have this very powerful vibe they give off, it’s hard to ignore... what can I say, they can really believe in themselves, which is great. Sounds like confidence. :) I guess I’m kinda Russian? Not really since I was born and raised in Canada, but my first language before English was Russian. I love Canada so much and I love so many nationalities. I try to see beauty in everyone. I don’t want to look at Russians and put them on a pedestal, they are just humans like every other human on the planet. Apparently he was successful and had a business and nice apartment but she was unhappy and did not love him. As a reasonably successful older single guy who has never been married I would seriously consider a middle aged lady from Eastern Europe. Why? Because most of those ladies are the type of people that my parents were. They care more about their families than the size of their bank account or their house or car. Unfortunately for them they outnumber the available men in their countries so many of them have chosen to look elsewhere. Why should that be a bad thing for guys like me? If we have qualities that make us mutually attractive why is that a bad thing? Are there going to be some who just want to take advantage of guys like me? Might sound suspicious to you, if you don't know Russian culture. I am not Russian, however I do have some Russian girlfriends and they do talk like that. The importance of the family and the roles .. etc. Now that doesn't mean all Russian women stick to this, but they are raised like this.

It's a shame that we don't often find values like these in the US. If we did then I think we'd really be a great country. Women of the past were expected to be homemakers now are expected to work like a man. Homemakers bring tremendous value not only to their families but to society. As she is not as restricted as she once was, a woman can expand out to her communities as well. American women can learn so much from Russian women in that respect. And I'm sure Russian women can learn from American women too. It may sound idealistic but women should share their cultures with each other, unite and become more whole.
