I'll tell you a story. I met a Russian girl back in the late 80's, she was a friend of a co-worker who came over when they started letting the Jewish people emigrate. She knew this girl from Moscow and invited her to come on a tourist visa. This girl overstayed her visa, she didn't want to go back. The USSR was falling apart and it wasn't the best of times. Anyway, this girl, she asked if I would marry her so she could get a green card. I said sure, what did I care. Wasn't any skin off my nose. So we went and got married at the court house and together we filed the paperwork for her to get a Green Card. She was living with her girl friend and I was living by myself. I went over to her apartment to have her sign something from Immigration and we drank some wine and somehow we ended up sleeping together. She was working as an au pair, making good money, enough to more than keep her half of the place up. Next thing I know she moved in with me. We'd already been married almost 18 months. It was funny. When she got the Green card I said,' well, that's done, whatcha gonna do?' She just smiled and said, " have some children". Lol! That was 30 years ago. Both kids graduated from college and are working and have left home. But we're still here, kicking it.......

I live in a city where AFA does a tour. I speak the language and have lived there for years. A little known fact is you can sign up for just the socials without doing the tour. I inquired about it just for the fun and the company kept finding ways to keep me from going. I finally gave up. What that told me was the reason is I would have spotted the con very quickly and maybe created problems it did not want to deal with.

I'm from Odessa and I worked for one of such agencies... Remember the guy saying he wrote to 10 girls and they all replied? That's because it's a rule, a message from a man cannot be left unresponded. But in most cases it's not the girl herself replying but someone like me, a "translator" that has several girls to write instead of. The women are mostly there for money because they get paid for messages, chat time, and any presents are converted into money by the agency itself. Even the date, if there is one, is a cash grab and both the girl and the translator get money from like the restaurant that has special menus with higher prices for that. Women will have lied on the website about their age, occupation, family. They'd have children and a husband who knows about this side hustle. I went there trying to do some honest work and there was none... I didn't last long, it is all such a scam.
I met a woman from Mykolaiv (near Odessa) through an agency. We had many video chats and a few letters. I came to like her a lot and traveled to meet her. I spent the better part of 2 weeks there with her. She spoke perfect English, so there was no need for a translator. But her female cousin, similar age, was always with us, like a chaperone. I paid for all meals as men are expected to do, bought her several things, was convinced to get her mother something nice when I met her, etc. When the time came at the end of my trip for us to spend some time alone, she mysteriously had to have surgery to remove her appendix. I returned home without seeing her again. No more video calls after that, just short texting online, with her discussing her money troubles because of the 'surgery'. I realized the whole thing had been a scam. I hired a Ukrainian investigator who found out that she was married and worked at as an agency translator (not the agency where I met her), whereas I thought she was a hairdresser (could have been both). And the boy I met who I was told was her nephew, was probably her son. I was both devastated and heartbroken. It was really hard for me to process how convincingly she was able to lie, and that her whole family (cousin, husband, mother, children) were in on it. It felt like I was in a movie. Looking back, I think I'm lucky nothing worse happened to me.
Most of these scams are run out of American prisons. With guys named Bubba answering your email.

I watched this documentary a long time ago and just stumbled upon it again tonight. I find this so sad. These men seem to have such insane standards for the women they think they want and that's why they're single. I don't know if it's something to do with wanting to be like other guys and prove their worth or what, but if they'd just be open to dating a normal, average woman, then maybe a lot of them wouldn't be single.

The problem here is...most women, especially when they are younger, also indulge in the fantasy of securing a really hot guy...so they will not go out with an average or less type of guy, even if the women are also below average in looks!...The eventuality is, the not so hot ladies will eventually lower their sights, in order to marry and have kids. Guys in the inferior category, will not lower their misconstrued standards for a much longer time!...and this is why you see these middle-aged "loser guys", trying so hard to obtain a beautiful woman. End of story. I speak as a 77yo man now, who lost his wife of forty years, around 12 years ago. At this point, I have no illusions of bedding down with a girl less than half my age...but I still will not be checking out any woman who has stopped ovulating years ago!...Marriage is out of the question for me, and I accept my fate, and enjoy being a single old dude! I’m from Ukraine, from one of those cities mentioned in the film, and of course I’m excited to watch it 😂😂😂. This “dating industry” was very common 10-15 years ago. In my city there were many agencies that recruit girls or guys (who pretend to be girls) to work on these dating sites. I want to draw your attention to “work”, not to finding love. Men, let's face it, if you are not successful in your country, then why will you be successful in Eastern Europe? Do you really think that a 20-30 year old girl will fall in love with a 50-60 year old American man because you are so good, this is funny. And now is no longer the time when brides were ordered by mail and when women were ready to marry their grandfather in order to go to the West. But there are exceptions to all rules, which allows you to always hope that you will be the lucky one.

I’m surmising when AI ‘women’ has a stronger presence that a shit ton of guys are going to get very seriously played by their lust, selfishness, entitlement issues. Once a man gets on the wrong track to try and get his needs met, rather than stoping to understand why his head keeps crashing into walls, he blames all others for his misery. I.e. very shallow ideas about what a woman is and does. They will often behave in hyper sexual ways too….again having shallow ideas about what a woman is and believing a women are slutty. A distant family member did this & what a huge mistake.
She was Slavic, what these girls are, he was in the military. He brought her to the U.S. & were married. He went off to war & she went off looking for someone else while he was gone.
She did become a citizen then went to school free, to become a nurse. A few years later she broke it to him his child wasn't his & that it was all just to come over to the U.S. to start a new life. They divorced & she took the 6yr old child he though was his.
Trust me when I say- this broke him. These are just scams & many want to become citizens to bring their family to the U.S. A good 70% are buying their time till they get citizenship & can figure a way out, but until then, they will make do.
The man will pay for his decision with his wallet & his heart, sad they believe it's real.
There's something to be said about finding someone who grew up in the same culture, saw the same TV shows and movies.
