yeah and plenty of physicians aren't aware of it so it causes tons of problems trying to get help for it. you need stroboscopy and qualified professionals.
I was 18 back in the day when this was first release. Got hooked with this album almost immediately, now I'm 38, and it still running on my car stereo.
I'm a junior in high school rn and my dad just introduced me to these guys a month ago they're sooooo good man. This is easily my favorite song on this album!
Late 2022 and just found this again.... Omg this is amazing... Such nostalgia. So crazy listening to this and then their new stuff such a crazy contrast!
I remember hearing this song for the first time at the warped tour... first time seeing thrice also... good times... it was so wild, even Bert from the Used decide to randomly jump on stage and do random screams for them...
Haha, threw a trash can at a kid in 2004 to this song at Webster Theater in Hartford, CT. Pretty sure they were touring with Thursday and Coheed. Havent found a more appropriate setting to throw a trash can at a kid since :(
This will always be 1 of my favorite albums all these years later. Thank you Lee Richardson for burning me what would become one of my favorite albums ever
From 1:27 to 1:48 is some of my favorite drums ive ever heard. His consistency w his right bass pedal and his playful triplets always made me so jacked to learn this. Hes a great drummer and all of his music is insane. But this always stuck out to me
This was one of my go to songs when i had a bad day at school in high-school put that mix cd....wait for it.... in my walkman ....😂 and let the emotions go.
Still probably my favorite song by them after all these years... Which I love ALL THEIR Music, even through all their changes in style & tempo from Album to Album! SO GLAD THEIR HIATUS IS OVER!!!!!!

You can hear so much Killswitch Engage in this and Killing Moon, miss this era of Thrice. Would have been so interesting if they had followed this path, still love where they ended up going
By the time we got to this point in the album, large crowds were forming around our booth, trying to chat with the legendary Melonpan as the server had come to know me (Yesterday I met someone who was there with me for the original performance and I sent her a friend request that she didn’t accept). The server wanted to “hear” my avatar sing despite not having a voice
Anyone else think this sounds similar to old enter shikari, like sorry your not a winner and anything could happen in the next half hour rolled into one, sounds sick af
Help! I always assumed this band was on the pussy side of post-hardcore, and for the most part I think I was right. Thank god i randomly selected this song one day***, because I would have continued assuming they were a weak band. Although this song is the sh!t, I would rather have multiple tracks to listen to, rather than just one. What other Thrice songs scream and pwn like this one? *** I have a "collecting things" addiction - it's not hoarding because I become obsessed with only one particular thing, which this time, was having a music library of everything and anything in Lossless format (roughly 40mb per track). A friend had this CD, and I ripped it. Back in the day, some of my other addictions were: • Ninja Turtle Comics • Pokémon cards • Goosebumps Books • Beanie Babies • POGS • etc
Nothing's going to be QUITE LIKE 'Paper Tigers', but you can try 'The Earth Will Shake' off their Vheissu Album. There's also 'Hold Fast Hope', 'Like Moths to a Flame' & 'Stand & Feel Your Worth' off the same album. Vheissu has more tracks on their heavier side. But all their stuff is pretty great to me. There's more, but if you don't like those ones, then you probably won't like the others I could name...
I always thought this song was about the rich. It's about narcissists on general. I guess in the grand scheme it could be about the rich but just in general....
These guys were around 23 when they made thtis album. Imagine being 23 and making a masterpiece like this.
Ridiculous good
@@staygold902 imagine being 23 20 years ago
@@lunchbox4229 I was
@@staygold902 name a time better than 90-2005. Is impossible
Wtf happened with their other songs? How do you make a masterpiece like this and never make another good song in your career?
Hearing how much Dustin used to scream I’m not surprised he has that signature raspy voice now
yeah and plenty of physicians aren't aware of it so it causes tons of problems trying to get help for it. you need stroboscopy and qualified professionals.
I always thought it was Riley, the bassist who did the screaming.
@@dricedlk He does the long screams that are more brutal on the album but Dustin does the melodic growls. But yeah Riley is a beast
Yeah, you can't just yell, you gotta do it right or you blow your voice bad.
I was 18 back in the day when this was first release. Got hooked with this album almost immediately, now I'm 38, and it still running on my car stereo.
I love this song so much, so many years later. This entire album is a fuckin masterpiece.
Couldn't agree more.
This album is fire front to back
Hopefully y'all get to see them Live.. Fucking impeccable!! (If you haven't already.)
@@LJCountry88 Seen them live only once in Pomona. Really good. They played this entire album except the singles.
Well said! An album with zero tracks to skip
I'm a junior in high school rn and my dad just introduced me to these guys a month ago they're sooooo good man. This is easily my favorite song on this album!
This entire album is lightening in a bottle... perfection...
That bass lick is fire
yeah it is. the chorus is pretty tough, but really satisfying to play on the money.
The most underated band in the world
Facts! They always have been.
This album is hella underrated.
No
As a 50 year old dude that has seen Metallica slayers. This is the heavy s*** ever and I'm so glad a younger dude introduced me to this.
Bass line is off the charts
This band is better live than on the recording. Fucking pure talent

Saw them at Warped Tour 2002 in Somerset WI and have been obsessed ever since
Yes the emo hair days
Used 2002 era Bert was prime drinky
The singer said this song came from listening to Killswitch Engage on the way to band practice. Lol pretty awesome.
Lol I dont like Killswitch, but I fucking love this song. They do a better job at the style.
Dustin..
Orificeofshadows blasphemy
I dont believe it
You realize they were contemporaries with killswitch, right? Damn kids.
The bass in this tune is the goods
This song would pump me up to charge some pretty gnarly waves.
I punched a little kid in the face to this song at Numbers in Houston, 2005/2006. He punched me back.
Good times.
JohnnyBNerdy god story LOL
Aye Numbers Houston represent!!!
Haha, threw a trash can at a kid in 2004 to this song at Webster Theater in Hartford, CT. Pretty sure they were touring with Thursday and Coheed. Havent found a more appropriate setting to throw a trash can at a kid since :(
That's right.
Dude....I don't know you AT ALL but I remember that show AND that whole situation. LOL
Relationships may fail, but Thrice is forever!
The Bass guitar is shredding like a solo guitarist
This will always be 1 of my favorite albums all these years later. Thank you Lee Richardson for burning me what would become one of my favorite albums ever
The one before this one was very well made. Both albums are my favorite, though I haven't really heard anything 'new' from them after this album.
Everything thrice is amazing but the artists in the ambulance will always be their masterpiece to me
@@brentonm2640 Indeed it is!

Whos still here every week in 2024..... fucking love thrice and this just goes the hardest imo
My first concert ❤ Thank you
Heavy thrice is always a good time
This album still goes hard man, bought it new in jr high and rocked.
this song is awesome after "stare at the sun" the heavy vocals are great with band and its sorta unexpected.
Saw them with Coheed in Philly circa 2003 ish? Thats back when music was good.
