Noah Sebastian is even better live than he is on the records. I saw Bad Omens on March 1st as part of the Underoath tour, and I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by Noah Sebastian. He was easily the best performer of the night. I was really hoping you’d do one of these videos with him
I saw them on on the 17th, 100% agreed they were by far the best, Spiritbox didn’t perform but these guys made it all worth it. This song especially- Noah absolutely had everyone’s attention. Best vocalist I’ve ever heard imho…
The fact that he actually sounds so desperate and hopeless while singing the "I'll be holding on" line, adds so much to the character he's building throughout the entire song, it's brilliant in every way
I fell in love with Bad Omens the moment I first heard them. Noah's voice was just so haunting and awesome that I couldn't stop listening. He became my favorite singer so quickly I was shocked. I'm so glad to see people breaking his voice down like this and giving us a deeper insight of what he does. Please do more videos about him! 🤘🏻🧡🙏🏼
@@UghRegret I just discovered them today and I can stop listening to Noah's vocals. He became my fav male vocalist an hour ago ngl! He definitely has a mesmerizing voice like DAMN I'm so in love
Yes!! Me too!! First song I heard was" like a villan" I was ABSOLUTELY hooked!! LOVE THEM! His voice is off the chain! Literally the best vocalist ever!! 🤘🖤🎼🎶🎵
This video explains why I have a total out of body experience when I listen to them. It’s all that emotion packed into Noah’s vocal technique. So cool.
Noah is a Siren. He got us all with his absolut Angelic Voice and his overall Talent. I so sooo hope to see even more of Bad Omens in the Future. Seeing them life in January 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Not only is Noah amazing vocally the fact that he also does a majority of the producing and writing all their lyrics alongside Jolly is so insane. He’s a rare gem for sure. I found them randomly and listened to the entire Death of Peace of Mind album in one sitting and I’ve yet to get tired of it. I was instantly a fan. I recently saw them live and although they were definitely tired because it was right before they announced their break, they were still mind blowing. They just keep getting better and better.
My wife got me hooked on Bad Omens literally two days ago, and I’m mad I hadn’t heard them before. Noah’s voice is so unique, and after your critique of his vocal abilities, it makes a lot more sense why my ears gravitated to it. Can’t wait to see them live.
I love how Noah preforms this song live. When he says “I think you’ve overstayed you’re welcome in so go the fuck away, don’t come again.” He screams the go the fuck away and it adds that emotion to the song. I feel like Noah is such a wonderful performer and I can’t wait to see them live. Also the live version of dethrone change my whole out look on Noah he is only getting better and it would be wild if he re recorded some of the older stuff with his new vocal techniques. So much love.
I always considered noah to be a countertenor because of his range 🤔 but his falsetto is crazy in this song and the control he has and the ability to flip registers and switch between the fry scream and cleans are absolutely epic! And i love hownyebimcotoerates the cries as he sings and uses certain wirds and tones to make that trampoline affect into ither words and tones. Im helplessly in love with his vocal ability and agility
This is my favorite vocal analysis to date. I love Bad Omens and Noah is my favorite vocalist. His talent in not only vocals but writing and producing is unmatched in modern music. The way this was broken down was so interesting and informative. I loved it!
I thought this band was just a decent metalcore band until I saw them in concert, on the Underoath tour with Spiritbox and Stray From the Path. He sounds twice as good live as he does on the records, his screams were exceptionally brutal on Dethrone, very good.
I am so happy to see this!! Noah Sebastian is hands down my favourite vocalist and is largely the reason I pursue singing and screaming after a decade away from it. Absolutely loved this breakdown, fantastic work!! If you want something that is almost polar opposite, his live performance of Dethrone are beyond amazing!
Ive seen them live in january, he sounds as if not better live than on record it adds that little spice. He changes some things so people know he is actually singing live and its insane to say the least
I saw them on Feb 23rd in Pheonix. I was there to see Spiritbox, but they were right before and I was absolutely BLOW AWAY on how he uses his falsetto. He sings in such a nice range that I can replicate really well, and it feels like its harder to find singers that actually use their falsetto well and uniquely like Noah does. Thanks for analyzing this!
I have been really sad recently and felt like really numb but then i find this song by bad omens and your analysis of it and its really inspired me to get back into music and really appreciate it., Good one man. love the work, keep it up x
been searching ages for someone to do a video on Noah and i’m so glad you’re the one to explain how his voice technique works. he has such a unique voice and way of singing/screaming and this was super helpful
I first heard Bad Omens’ “Limits” and loved Noah’s clean vocals. And then after hearing “Dethrone” I thought: HOLY SHIT! This is the same dude? Fan-fucking-tasting work Bad Omens!
I can’t get over how good this song is and the whole band in general. Only just heard them for the first time about a week ago, and already consider them one of my new favorite bands
Just found a new favourite band thanks to you! that album is INSANE! If you aren’t aware of him already you need to check out the new singer for Monuments Andy Cizek, he is probably one of the most inspiring vocalists for me in terms of technical ability right now. He will blow your mind - would love to see you do a breakdown video of one of their tracks
Watching you talk through his technique made me realise what I find so fascinating in his voice. The vibrato! Can't think of any other male singer in this genre that uses vibrato and not mane female singers either. It definitely adds emotion behind the words and makes his voice memorable. Also can't think of many who master totally opposite singing styles so well and make it seem so effortless and easy.
I saw them in Fayetteville at the last show before covid. It was a bar I used to regular on the weekends to see small time metal bands. Could fit maybe 100 people and it was the February right after their first song hit 10 mil on Spotify. I had been listening to them since the first album came out and I heard they were coming around and I wanted to go but I had no idea it would be packed all the way out to the parking lot and I was right at the stage
Chris it has been awesome to see your music taste evolve. I do not exactly know how long you've been into bands like architects and bad omens but I find it funny that so many classic rock youtubers are adapting to the music of today. His raspiness and grit and vulnerabilty, is off the charts. Listen to their 1st hit "Worst In Me" or sum like "The Letdown". You won't be dissapointed with what u can unpack there
Would love for you to be able to get Noah on the channel for a vocal education session, kind of similar to what you did with Will. Idk how difficult that would be, but I’m trying so hard to develop the techniques that Noah uses, he’s just got the exact sound that I’m going for with my voice, and I just feel so stuck.
