    Hi you two! To me, Pearl is a rockstar. 250 miles is my max for having enough energy left to enjoy a couple hours, dinner and walk the dogs.
    I notice me and the dogs do better overall that way. Can do one 350 mile day sometime during a long trip. Wish I could put my feet up on the dash in soft socks like you Bob!

      I think it's one of the best things about retirement, 1 hour or 12 hours it really doesn't matter since we are not on a schedule and can all go at our own pace and at our leisure. It is a great lifestyle isn't it.

    Wow Bob, don’t know how you guys are handling mid 80s in the rig. 😂We had our AC running when it was 75 inside during our little heat spell on the Coast. I was cooking at 75. I guess we’ve acclimated to the cooler coastal weather and don’t do good in heat anymore. Enjoy your family. Safe travels. I hear the crabbing is starting to get good. We’ll see.😊🦀

    • @JustPassingThru
      @JustPassingThru  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Charles, I have to tell ya that I literally could not walk 10 feet without getting dizzy due to the 98 degree temps and setting up the campsite. I think it was like a minor heat stroke. Once we got the ONE air conditioner running along with tans I was alright but we definitely are not ready for Yuma summer time temps. I'm looking forward to our next crabbing session next Sept., so don't catch them all till we get back to the coast.

  • @rlewis7672

    Hey Bob and Pearl, we have a 2008 Monaco Dynasty with probably the same AC units. We had two of our units also go out. I ordered the start capacitor and the run capacitor for both from Amazon and that got them running again. Hope this helps. let me know if you need the part numbers.

    • @JustPassingThru
      @JustPassingThru  5 месяцев назад

      You are right on target, I had replaced the capacitors and circuit board on our rear AC unit several years ago and that fixed the problem. Our front unit blew out the Freon line last summer so it is junk probably but I do plan to rob its parts and hope to be able to repair the center unit when we get back to Yuma. My 1st line of defense is to simply stay in sub-80 degree weather and we are generally pretty good at that (but obviously don't always succeed). I appreciate your suggestions and information

    Hello Pearl & Bob. I very much enjoyed your video. I guess I'll need to stop by more often. My little sister lives in Bend with her husband & their blended family of 2 girls & 2 boys. Hubby & I have an Airstream that we travel with our 5 pets in. It gets a bit claustrophobic with all our pets, so I consider it a weekend traveler's rig. The longest trip we've ever done away from home has been about 28 days before my husband starts getting home sick. We're always talking about doing a cross country & back, but haven't yet stepped up to the plate. We talk about joining TT to make CC travel easier, but haven't bit that bullet yet either. Any advice from seasoned travelers to semi traveler's to make traveling easier? Love you guys, safe travels

      Glad you enjoyed the video, I am guessing 5 dogs is a hand full, Pearl and I have trouble just keeping our one puppy exercised and happy although it does insure we are out walking her several times a day getting a little exercise. I don't really have many suggestions on travel as we all do it so much differently. We are constantly discussing with Dave, Tom and Lori and a few others on the best way to travel and I don't think any of us have changed anything from those discussions.
      Thousand Trails is great for full timers and truly a financially no brainer but for part time travel the locations are often not where we might want to be and they are often a little run down so for part time RVing you really need to check the location of the campgrounds to see if they are where you want to be. For us, it still works great as there are numerous TT campgrounds on the Oregon and Washington coast where lots of our kids and grandkids live so we love it.
