They just proof how desperate Muslim scholars can be when they apply sugar coating technics in order not to scare Muslims of their religion.

The academic name for the 20% unintelligible bits of the quran is "dark passages". I find it all fascinating, because the historical evidence points to a completely different story to the 'standard narrative' of islam.

The majority of scholars say in order for taqiyyah (saying something contrary to what one believes) to be permissible, there should be fear of harm and the individual should not have any other means of avoiding harm except by resorting to taqiyyah. It is also stipulated that the harm that is feared should be of a type that is extremely hard to bear. It is absolutely forbidden to use it to spread Islam as you mentioned since Islam doesn't need lies to survive.

Circumcision of any child (male or female) for non-medical reasons is abhorrent regardless, as it should be the individual's decision when they reach the age of consent for their country - eg 18.

Islam ruined my childhood. When i was 13 my friends were slowly fading away and i got interested in Islam for some reason. Converted to Islam and remained muslim until I 18 (im 20 now). It made me become really anti social in school and i had 0 friends at my school or in my small town. Because everyone was into drinking and smoking. I started being friends with bad Islamists who were really violent and i got myself into some legal troubles. I am now 20, i finally started talking to my family and old childhood friends and have been happy ever since. I now party and have fun like everyone else my age! Islam made me miss out on so so much. I wasted so much time on Islam, studying etc. UGH
Look at the positive side, you are young and have that extra experience to teach you to go thru life. And teen years u haven't miss much... It's the most awkward times in one's life!
I wish you all the best in your life and future no matter what faith or non-faith you decide on. :)

I used to be a member of different sufi groups in London when I was a Muslim. Occasionally, I would attend Shadhili gatherings...yes, the sheikh being Nuh Keller himself. Everytime I prayed to one of the Hindu God I won't feel anything and I was often get confused with which God should I pray.But one day my classmate invited me to a church it's not an orthodox but a Protestant one.The moment I saw some images of jesus and heard some of the thing he said in the bible was truly amazing like how can a God lower himself to an ordinary human to sacrifice himself to pay the debts of my sins and all of us and He himself invite us to join with him in his Kingdom Of Heaven. There are so many translations that are wrong. For example taking jizyah in many translations it says humbled. But و هم صاغرون doesn't mean humbled. It means belittled. It comes from صغار. That's why of you want to say a little child you say طفل صغير. It doesn't mean a humbled child. So God asks you to take the money from the people of the book while they are belittled.

I was aware of FGM as a practice in certain groups in African nations, but had no idea it was practised in Islam. How barbaric! I find male circumcision barbaric enough. Fortunately in the UK, it was stopped as an NHS procedure many years ago. However, it is still allowed to be performed privately.
Actually performing FGM on a child is illegal in the UK, and taking a British child abroad to do it is also illegal. If any British girl has FGM done to her she is within her rights to report it to the police and have the perpetrator dealt with in court.
@@gepwxaqdfsidsesg1548 You’re correct. Legislation on FGM was passed in 2003 and updated in 2015. Unfortunately, girls are taken abroad in secret in order to have it done. Police still find U.K. adverts by groups that perform the procedure.
I wish that Parliament would move to ban male circumcision other than for medical reasons.

I'm not surprised they'd lie about it, they have lied about it to me personally. Hopefully we can get to a point where all genital mutilation, even the male one we for some reason still think is normal, just ends. We have no right to take bodyparts off of babies and children unless medically necessary.

My wife when I met her was Muslim and had a daughter who she said must be raised Christian my daughter attended a catholic school and started teaching her mom what she learned at school and without me knowing she started taking convert classes and one day was baptised and gradually started receiving the sacraments until she said we need to get married in church and I will tell you she an Arabic speaking Christian that has debunked alot of dawagandist with her extreme knowledge of the hadiths and Quran and it was like guys like Bob Sam shamoun who has guided her to believe and now ap has awoken me and I have started to read up on what others say is not true
