2023 Camry XSE V6. Regardless of Re-Lock Timer setting (Off, 30 sec, 60 sec, or 120 sec), the car does not lock when you get out of the car or when you walk away. However, you decided to go to your car and used the Key FOB to unlock the door(s) but if no one enters/ opens a door, when the timer expires the door(s) will lock. It does not have the capability to automatically lock your door(s) when you get out of your vehicle and walk away. Next, Using the Key FOB to roll down your car windows, need to have this done at Toyota Dealership, some do it for free and others want a hefty fee for 5 minute connection of their laptop computer with Toyota TechStream software to the OBDII connector and scroll to the Door/Window section and Allow your FOB to roll down the windows. To roll up must use Valet Key inserted into the car door keyhole and turn to get all windows rolled up. The Toyota Remote Connect via the Toyota APP is good for 10 years but to use the Remote Start feature will cost you from $80 to $100 per year by pre-paid Subscription. Toyota makes several things Inconvenient.
What about for the chirping sound when you lock and unlock? The dealership couldn’t figure how to fix my Corolla and I would love to know how to turn it back on.
@@GabryMood There are some settings but nothing about automatic locking/unlocking which is a bit weird. Maybe it's a hidden feature or available in an update?

Thankfully first time I was near home and was able to crawl into apartment through window to get spare key. Second time in was with friend who has roadside assistance. Can you please tell me how to fix car so this NEVER happens again?!

That doesn’t make me feel comfortable knowing the doors don’t lock automatically once I’m in drive mode. Can you show me how to fix it if there is a fix for this? Thanks. John

Yes, that is perfect. Assuming nobody is in front passenger seat. When someone sits in passenger seat there is a sensor and it will switch to say the airbag is on

If you leave the car running and walk away with the car key in your pocket, there is a beeping alarm when you shut the door, indicating that the car key is not in the car.
If its the actual horn then it sounds like you have an aftermarket security system activating it. The factory system does not do that. Most security systems have an option to turn what you are describing off, you will want to contact them to find out the steps to do this.
It’s a safety issue. I had a homeless lunatic open my door two days ago on the passenger side asking for money. I hit the gas and flung him on the ground and went on my way. No one is going to enter my car. If he got hurt that’s his fault. Not mine. Toyota should have made sure the standard base model got the “lock by speed” too and not just the two upper premiums.
I wonder will we ever get this figured out because I have the screen I set the settings and still nothing from the first time I ever set the setting until today’s date tbh...

If you have the same screen in your Toyota as the guy in the video. Go to the door lock setting and put “by speed” on automatic door lock.

Some of the vehicles have an option in the settings. If not next time you go for service rquest this. A tech should be able to do this for you.
