Thanks man. about Wireless Door Lock When Opened -- long before we have smart key, I've developed a habit to lock my cars with the hard button that is on the door panel. Passenger door also has this button. Before smart key this habit was a bit dangerous since I always has to make sure that key is not left in the car. Now when smart key cannot be left in the locked car, it's actually easier and and faster to lock with the door key and don't take a key out of my pocket.
Yeah I knew about this feature. I did a lot of exploring/experiementation when I first bought my 2021 HiHy. What I wish these cars had was passive locking.....i.e. I get out of the car and close the door and walk away. Car locks itself. My 2017 Impala had this and I miss it.

My 2021 Toyota Sienna le can do the same even tho it does not have keyless entry but one time I had my 2021 sienna unlocked for less then 30 it locked it self and it’s a great feature to have

Quick question I have a 2022 Toyota Sienna and I was playing with the Radio system a littler bit and I found a setting that if I go over the speed limit the sienna will make a beep sound. I setup it if to make a beep if I go over 1 miles over the speed limit. My question is... How can I remove it? I do not remember how to get to that setting. It is bother me ☹️ lol Can be also some setting in the steering wheel in the info entertaiment . I remember I can choose between 1 mile , 3 miles or 5 miles over the speed limit to make the beep sound.
@@danperry4875 that is the relock timer. If you hit unlock on the key fob and don't open the door in what option you have set for seconds it will relock. It is not a walk away lock
I have a 22 Toyota Avalon XLE and it also has that the sensor on the driver door. I was just wondering is there anyway you can set that sensor to your own personal touch? You know to protect against theft or anything like that? Thanks

@@alheiman9525 yeah, but it would be an option to enable or disable. A Chevy volt I was borrowing had this feature and it was nice to have. Just hop out the car with key fob in your pocket and when you get about 5-10 feet away it locks itself.

@stevenwelchtoyota My 2024 4Runner only has 12 miles on it and my dad's friend was leaning against the door handle and it started a loud, single beep and I told him to please quit leaning on the door handle and I don't even think he heard it and now I can't get it to work at all. It was working fine earlier in the day when the car was delivered to me. Now every time that I try to lock it with my thumb it just still makes that annoying loud beep. I'm forced to use my key fob but it will unlock it when I put my hand through the handle. 😭
Hey, you seem to know a lot about the ins and outs of the toyota smart key system. Can you tell me this, is there a way to permanently turn off/deactivate the smart key relay signal? I know there used to be a way to do that in the ones from just a few years ago. You just had to vehicle, and go in there and turn it off.
My Rav Prime was unlocked when I went out below freezing to move the car. I thought I had locked it. Is there some feature for it to unlock so it won't freeze the locks?
This may be a stupid question but when you started the vehicle you had a map display, my 2022 toyota corolla doesn't display any maps/gps without plugging my phone in for the android auto, any work around this?
I think there’s a setting in the infotainment system to let you choose between 1 press unlock driver only another press to unlock all OR 1 press unlock all.

I have had others say that. The cars can see proximity so it should not be hard to add the feature.

Its a port to run your cords to the shelf. You cant lock it with it with the fob but you can with the slide key

The RAV4 21 how do you set the automatic 30 seconds lock away door. I tried mine it don't work
It dont auto lock when you walk away you have to touch the door if you have the smart key system
It's supposed to lock without touching anything on the display it shows 60 seconds I set it for 30 and it don't lock by itself when I walk away

No, that isn’t possible, as it isn’t a fingerprint reader. It doesn’t recognize different people itself.

My driver’s side lock only works with the key. It broke when it was about a year old. I refuse to pay $700 to get it fixed at the dealer.

No that's a safety feature. Its able to be turned off but it cuts off all smart key features

Keep your purse within 3 feet of the door handle but not on the glass where the car can think the key may be inside. Other than change the fob battery

if you have smart key you can touch the door sensor to lock it. there is not a walkaway lock on toyota

Are you touching the sensor area? There is not a lock button just the sensor.

the only time it auto locks is if you hit unlock on the key fob wothout opening the door in 60 seconds
