Really? Five minutes to show where the two usbs are located. SMH.
You’re quite rude, Ricky
@@ransom6892 no I agree with Rick. This video was ridiculously excessive. It should have only been 30 seconds long.
@@ransom6892 it shouldn’t take that long this video was clearly made long for more revenue
Ok you guys have convinced me
This is the worst thing I've ever seen in my life
I just bought a 2020 Toyota Corolla SE Upgraded - USED. Right after bringing the USB when taking the car from dealer I immediately found this.
Anyone with common sense and returning Toyota buyer would notice this.
My first Toyota. I drove a Honda before.
Loving it!! Great Car.
It's absolutely unacceptable that they don't have USB A and they only have USB C
So buy an adapter, adapt to the world, the world needs not adapt to you.
@@JohnHill-qo3hb I apologize I think I meant to say they don't have usbc. However it was a rental car so I don't remember anymore
@@JohnHill-qo3hbblasphemy
Did you look under the seat? I was really hoping you'd look in every location for a USB port. They're so handy! Tell me more about USB ports and Corolla history and how great it is to use USB powered technology. I can't get enough of this video. Make the next one longer plz.
your stoned lol
1:40
anyone else from car rental places trying to find out where the REAL Android Auto/Apple Carplay USB ports lmao 😭😅🤣
Thank you homie
The dash port is to direct connect your phone to the multimedia system. The armrest one isn’t connected to the multimedia unit - it is just a charger.
THANK YOU. I dont want radio. I want my mp3 or Cd player. I hate streaming.
Day 1 of my road trip trying locate USB port in my Corolla rental! You just saved me whole lotta trouble. Thank you!
Is there A aux input??
Also note that the 2022 console charging port is USB-C. The dash port is still a standard one
And the 2023 has two more usb c ports in the back along with the two in this video.
My 2023 model only has the dash port and not the 3 others?
@@jamsberman Did you find them? Lift the top up on the center console, one is inside next to the 12 volt socket, the other two are on the back side of the center console for people in the back seat.
@jamsberman We just purchased a used 2023 Corolla and it has all the USB C ports. Was kind of bummed that I need to buy a USB C to C cable now.
You’re great, you’ve helped me with so much with your vids! Thanks!
I think USB is in the wrong place. The passenger's knee always touches it. It would be better if the USB of the armrest was not just a charger.
It has Bluetooth
Yup, That's how my wireless charging cable ended up broken. My passenger hit it with his knee and broke the USB plug part.
@@banehawi not for android auto/ apple car play connectivity
@@banehawi i think car play requires the usb and for GPS to work on the dash. i know i need to connect mine via usb
How about the auxillary plug in? Oh..and the real e- brake instead of the stupid hydraulic ones now?
Can you get Y-tube on it as well ?
That USB isn't exactly hidden and is right in front of you, someone would have to be half blind to miss it lol
My mother owns this car we just found out after a year of owning this because we wondered if we got an extra usb port ahah
that long drawn out reveal led to the USB to interface with carplay! How is that hidden? It’s really sad when you can’t order a car online and these dealers don’t know basic features. and the MSRP/OTD is bologna
The sad part is you can literally see the port in the first shot of him sitting in the car, it really isn't that hard to find. also I own a Corolla Hatchback and use this port every day... it's pretty easy to find .. it's right next to the wait for it.. wireless charging mat.
Try it at 10:30 at night and the usual little light is not on with the car running and headlights on.
It aint fun. Cheers.
That's not hidden or under the dash.
Video could be 10 seconds long. Instead it’s 32X longer than that.
Video could be 1 or 2 pictures as well
Cant bash on this guy for helping people out. People are dumb and i bet thousands of people dont know about this "hidden" usb port. So thank you sir
Generally people who buy any Toyota product are smart, smart people read the included manual.
You need to use that port for the carplay. Every single owner knows about it.
Helpful hint: He doesn't show it till the two minute mark. This is like those online recipes that want to tell you their life stories before they give you the recipe. Just show me that damn recipe/port!!
I got this car for a rental couldn’t find the USB port lol had to look it up on you tube. Thank you
Exactly my situation 🤣
Same!!! Lmao
How to play music from a USB stick if you have to use the USB port for Apple Carplay?
Exactly, same for me, but with android auto. Is there an usb hub option for that front usb port,
so that can support both the phone and usb stick?
@@bogdannicolaecristea2499 I'd really like to hear a success story pointing to a working product on this one :)
@@StefanImkeVollebergHendrikx i use small usb hub (4 ports). I have connected dash cam and android auto in the same time and everything works :-)
I literally had to come here to find the USB. Thank you!
Wth. I was thinking there was a 3rd USB port in the backseat or trunk. This is not hidden. Everyone knows it’s there. Geez.
Amazing, I just wanted to watch to see how one would make a 10 second video go for 5 minutes, well done. 👍
Do you know the part number on that port sir?
Mine was kinda mess up, you need to move it around in order to work properly. Hoping anyone can help.
Thanks
Who is going to look? I did. Found it within a minute of the test drive, lol. Thats how you connect your stereo to Apple car play or android auto....Both of those ports are obvious.
First thing I noticed when I sat in the car
Thank you. Couldn't find it until now!!
No more auxiliary port?
I know wtf. How are we supposed to test our mixes now. It honestly breaks my heart I wish I would have known this before buying
aah i thought there was going to be another USB port hidden else where, that one I spotted instantly .. but thanks, I guess not everyone found it without this video. I had a Fiat Punto Grande and 2 USB sockets where inside the Glovebox
Trying to fix my stock radio. Would love to know how to get the software to recalibrate my screen! Not paying $1000 for a radio...
I couldn’t find thts the reason i am watching this vid. Thanks for the info
An Apple charging wire doesn’t fit unless I’m missing something. We have a 2023 rental on a trip and there’s only the opening in the console with an adapter. Seriously?
it's the 1st thing the salesman showed me on delivery.
Hello ..What about the usb port in the back ..For customers ?
HOW is that hidden? click bate video, it's literally right on the dash in plan sight.
I'm really looking just for a video that tells me where I can place my phone in my Toyota Corolla as I'm driving. I just rented a Toyota Corolla and there is literally not a compartment that provides a decent space to put place my phone while I'm driving. You would think makers of a 2021 vehicle would know to provide some kind of small compartment that you can just stand up your phone in while driving.
I can never get mine to work. Can plug in an iphone and it will keep connecting and disconnectinb. Can never get one of them to charge either.
Thanks man
I was given this car as a company car 6 weeks ago, only now have I found the usb port. Thank you so much, I can now get some sleep.
Good day. Can I ask what is the part number for the USB port just under the dashboard and under the headunit?
Your definition of the word "hidden" is wildly different than mine
Im not techy
Can you charge your phone on this usb port?
Hi yes you can :)
Can you tell me i for get my password of jbl touch screen after battery reset..... Helpme how to default and get new password?
😢 Don't use it with a passenger in the car. They will bang it with their knee and it will break. And it will cost you a $100 and a whole bunch of hassle. Trying to replace it if you do it yourself.
I just got a Toyota Corolla renal vehicle. I was able to identify the center console USB Port, but it is only a charging port. There was not label identifying the dashboard USB Port, so I had no way of using that screen to mirror maps etc. I was only able to use the voice phone features via the bluetooth pairing.
Nissan and others have a Data USB port in plain view in the central depression right underneath the dashboard. Toyota would do well to copy that from Nissan and others.
My 2019 corolla usb ports do not charge, they drain the battery instead
It's in plain sight LOL
Don't connect your phone to your car, it will scan your phone and send all your data to Toyota.
I found that one before the one I de the armrest.
What happened yo the standard size USB port ? Do i need a special cable for this ?
Thank you. Big help with my rental!!
2020 Toyota Corolla USB replacement fuse location?
Why no auxiliary ports? Why are we going away from auxiliary?
I have one above the USB port in the dash board.
Maybe it´s not available in standard radio (I have JBL 8 speakers)
Hi, I have a 2020 Toyota RAV4 dad hybrid. The other day I tried to connect my android phone to the car using my media USB, and I got an error on phone saying slow charge use another cable.. I went to best buy got a new USB cable same error message. What's wrong? Do the ports fail?
Is the secrete usb port hooked up to to the cigerate lighter fuse?
Was wondering about the USB -C port can it be used to charge a laptop?
I don’t understand why I can’t just plug my phone into the aux port and listen to music from RUclips 🙄
Tks Fred, Just bought a Corolla. I have some doubts. How can I get in touch with
u?
I want to purchase a cigarette lighter connector that has 2 usb inside that goes into cigarette lighter but concerned how many watts to get to be safe not to damage my car and things I plug into it have a 2022 Toyota Corolla LE thanks in advance
How to plug in the aux cord
I think Tim Heideckers comedian character is based on this man.
I think mine doesn't have android auto .. only apple car play ... anyone know why?
It has been 15 days since I’ve bought my 2024 Toyota Corolla and now I’m looking for the usb port and that shit turn out to be usb-c!! All 4. Lol fml. I have an iPhone 11 Pro.
But this USB port doesn't charge the phone at all, it's draining you phone battery instead, any solution for that?
The one in the console charges. The dash doesn't.
is the USB in the dash charged? Can it provide 2.1A/5V?
It charges your phone yes. The dumb thing (which this guy fails to mention) is that only dash has data, center console not. So you need to always hook up to dash for Android Auto. Aad that connector is badly placed and can hit the passenger knee.
@@rongosund111 There is a third party developing software to use AA through Bluetooth.
@@whyno713 OK, sounds good. Don't remember the BT data speed, but I hope it runs this smoothly. I think the dash connector would be great if placed more towards the center. There is room.
@@rongosund111 100% on the location. I added a Griffin Breaksafe Magnetic Breakaway USB Adaptor, Standard USB Type A. This has already paid for itself twice!
Only for IPhone system? What about for Android is still works??
I bought a 2020 corolla brand new. Nowhere did they disclose that Android Auto won't work...I own an Android phone. I bought an adapter that fools the system to think I have an apple. I'm still pissed that Toyota was afraid & paranoid about Android. To me, the stereo is the weak link. I think the new models have both now. Ridiculous 🤬!
Thus isn't USB regular size tho. Not great on rental
Thank you. I just got a rental and couldn't find it as its in a stupid place!!
Thank you. This rental was erking me.
That don't fit my type c it don't make sense. Also I simply want to charge my phone not anything else wtf?
All videos of toyota corola are not helpful at all.
Any leads to purchase just the headunit?
Video description "We investigate.... etc etc". smh
Someone removed the bookmark on this brand new rental car (BOOOOOO!). You rescued me, Sir. Thank you.❤
I had a question for you why does the 2020 Corolla not have Android auto when I bought the car I had an iPhone but I have a Android and it does not work in this car
I think you need to go settings to enable Android Auto
It doesn't have AA. I own one & still pissed at Toyota 🤬!
Thanks! You saved the day ! Keep doing what you do! Blessings!
Like the clock why people put things so far away from the EYES.
Thanks for helping me locate the USB point(s) which is preventing further frustration and annoyance why they have to hide the USB points. It doesn’t make sense.
Many thanks once again!
Hey love your videos great walk through and visuals of the vehicles and knowledge we just recently purchased a 22 Toyota Corolla and we're trying to figure out all the little Bells and whistles and we were pretty amazed although toyota could have put USB ports in the rear passenger compartment also that would have been awesome but it's OK maybe next year
The 2023 Corolla has two charge ports in the back, one inside the center console and a full port to connect with the car where shown in the video. I hardly use them as Android Auto connection is wireless, as is Car Play.
whose goin to look in the manual to find it??? ha ha but its really bad of toyota having the chrge only usb in the centre console! so you can hide yoru mp3 player, but no you have to put it in the glove box & trap the cable in the glove box marks out of 10 ----0
I’ve used both Apple Car Play and Android in my 2020 Corolla Hatchback 6spd manual and never have I seen anything as finicky with cables as android
I was having the same problem with my Pixel and Corolla Hatchback. For me, it was a bad cable I bought at Walmart. Started loosing connection to the car every time I picked up the phone after about a month of using the Walmart cable. After I started using the cable that came with the Pixel Buds I haven't lost connection to Android Auto once. Hope it helps!
could say the same thing for lighting cables.
@@brettgraham7165 USB-C cables for phones are pretty terrible, my Samsung phone would always stop charging or whatever with USB-C, I switched to iphone, it's had some issues, but apparently they get full of lint...
It's literally in plain view
Thanks man. You saved our ass!
I am trying to figure out how to put my phone screen on the screen of car. My friend does it and I can't do and there's no videos explaining it I want to pull my hair out, is called projection
Our Corolla is 2023 and shows phone screen when connected thru Android Auto.
That’s not a usb port
Thanks for this I got this car as a rental and was dissapointed it did not have usb for music but it does
Good job
Thanks!!!
You could have done it in 5 seconds. Nobody cares about the context of modern technology. Nobody. Just point -here, and done.
Ha i just got a rental and was going crazy, had a 2021 a few weeks ago and was used to its location there, thank u
There is my iPhone lol..............? 🙄
This did not need to be five minutes long
click bait.
Fantastic, I didn’t have that sticker and I didn’t find the port under the dash. Don’t know why it’s so hidden.
I didn’t get a USB port in the arm rest. The 12v socket is there with a blank panel next to it.
Sometimes they just scrimp in the wrong areas. My first car was made in 1960 and the cigarette lighter was only in the deluxe model.
Seems nothing much has changed. 🤠
JFC. I’m on my second corolla rental and had this one for over a week already. Could not find a connection point for the life of me, and it’s just there… will have to search for it when i jump in the car next. Thanks for this.
It was very obvious even when even my Toyota Corrola had zero stickers ,
what i did notice is with these new cars like Toyota Corrola for example it Still FAILS to recognize ex-Fat or NTFS file systems
it MUST Be only the very, very old Fat32 format for USB To be recognized ....just goes to show technology is actually moving backwards .....A 40 grand car and yet still has not got the Tech required for a simple modern USB ..lmfao !!!
40 grand... you got ripped off, I got my 2019 in 2019 for less than 20 grand... lol
Come on… with all the respect to the Toyota reliability and durability calling that display “beautiful” is like saying Toyota has the best fit and finish in the car industry
the display is a slug, it's super slow when the car first starts, and pretty awful when the car is cold (ie: winter)
