I sub'd because i'd like to see you make it. I think the challenge you're facing is you are only 2 years on YT and you're making "How to" or "Expert" videos without earning much subs.. You need more subs faster than 2.4K in 2 years to appear to have real credibility.

With all due respect, i have 2 channels, one i started this year (may 24) and it already has 12k subscribers! why do you with just 3.54k subs as i write this assume you know enough to teach anybody anything about youtube? i still would not claim to know enough about youtube to "teach" people, yet here you are offering a course??
This is a joke mate, and by the way i do make enough from adsense alone to live off!!
Anybody that reads this, dont take advise from people that cannot show you by numbers what their videos claim.

The only way to win the game, is actually to quit it forever, and never come back.
I mean, RUclips is like a hot stove, or a quick sand trap. You're not going to win that fight by tangling it up even more.
No, to win against a quick sand trap or a hot stove burner... is to say, you know what, I'm done with you, bye!

It’s really about the journey and you have to be in it for the ride and not just the end result you have built in your mind.

@AshleySpeaks4U yes! I filed numerous reports AND hounded them on X. Long story short, RUclips likes to talk about zero tolerance for doxxing and bullying, but the truth is they don't care. The content creator I'm talking about is incredibly nasty and toxic, as well as lying about "having to move" so she can continue to get donations. She's a liar because she even said on a stream that any actions against her by animal control have been suspended. I'm just hoping that eventually she'll move on to harassing someone else.

“Quality over Quantity” took me a very long time to embrace. For years, I listened to advice about posting more and more and more in the hopes of gaining an audience. The art form became secondary. Bottom line is to be happy with the work and the joy that can be found in creating. If others like it that’s fantastic, but if that’s the only motivation then I feel disappointment will almost always follow. Do it for you first and if it makes you happy then share it. When money, likes, views and comments become more paramount than the art form itself, the art can very easily be lost. Thank you for sharing your experiences in this very useful and informative video.

RUclips isn’t constant so getting low views & new subs in the beginning isn’t the same over time, the more you grow, the more your subs and views go up 📈
Always try to improve and step into the success mindset from day 1… you got this…

This is me right now John, two years of YT, 250+ videos, and after each one an angry and frustrating weekend of statistic watching - wondering what I’ve done wrong this time. A very loyal core of fans kept me going too long. I’ve been on a break from YT since June and life feels so much less stressful. I wonder how many creators end up in this emotional cul de sac, I’m sure some end up on anti depressants or even worse. I’m glad you found your reason to carry on, but the difficulties of separating YT frustration from real life should justify a government health warning.

We have been doing RUclips for 4 years now. I think that I thought in the beginning that it wouldn’t take very long to make decent money on here, but it takes a very long time to grow.
    Ultimately,
    1) you shouldn’t do RUclips unless you truly enjoy creating and you would be happy with creating even if you never got views or money.
    2) you should develop a balanced schedule that incorporates video creation into your life at a sustainable pace.

I cannot tell you how much I needed to see this video today ❤ I think I'm coming out of the valley of despair and I think my biggest understanding atm is not to compare yourself with other people, and also not to doom scroll yourself into watching video after video of "how to be successful youtuber" type videos. Your video feels very different and exactly the last thing I needed to hear to be able to let it all go. I'm not going to focus on anyone or anything else except going back to just having fun with it and not worrying about the numbers 🥰

You hit the nail on the head. I'm at that point where I'm ready to give up because the only way my channel will succeed, is if content creators agree to want to collab. I had a vision of being successful by interviewing and going behind the scenes of thousands of different creators and their genres, but with little to no subscribers myself, nobody reaches out. It's as if I'm in a race and I'm stuck at the starting gate. I need to just relax, take my time, and trust the process. Thank you for the video!

Good Advice. Getting trapped in that mindset is something I think most of us creators face. We need to breath and calm down, and just do what we enjoy doing, and why most of us started a RUclips Channel.

Something I find weird is how the algorithm suddenly kills your videos. When I upload I have between 48 to 72 hours of constant increase in views (like 10 an hour) suddenly it flats and go to 0 and I don’t have any new view.

    • @JohnWi11is
      @JohnWi11is  Месяц назад +1

It is a strange one to figure out. I posted a video back in March that got 6k views in 4 days then flatlined and then out of no where 4 months later got another 10k views in a week.

Here I am only 3 weeks into doing my channel and it's sort of comical how much I've expected to happen so far. Not to worry I've reined it in. Yeah, that rollercoaster ride is real and man, the ups and downs even in a single day sometimes are crazy!

I’ve given up, not with RUclips but with understanding why a great vid, with great thumbnail and title bombs, while a vid I’ve taken far less time on get thousands of views. I love the filming, editing process, I’m now focused on that, and let the vids just do their thing.
    Another great vid mate 👍

Potrzebowałem dokładnie to usłyszeć. Że nic nie muszę! Tylko robie to bo chce. Bez presji. Dziękuję!
