Something they should add is the ability to switch disguises, like when you steal a soldiers uniform, you should be able to 'put it on' during open play and sneak around in it.
They said that there will be a "What happened to Desmond" moment in AC IV,and yes u will be playing as an Abstergo employee with an outside of the animus storyline. Both things confirmed by Game Director Ashraf Ismail :)
Edwrad is the most unique character ever created for an Assassin's Creed game. This is a man who constantly thinks for himself, someone who thinks on fame, fortune and adventure. The phrase defy the creed comes from the fact that Edward only joined the Assassins to get everything he wants and not to protect the ideology of the creed.
If it's in the trailer odds are that we can do it in random encounters too. In previous ac games ezio put the janissary armor or a papal guard armor on, he never acted like a civillian like we saw in this trailer.
Ninjas were trained to fight too. They were covert agents and mercenaries. But then that would mean visiting Feudal Japan and Ubi already crossed a line on that era.
He's refering to the eagle peak all the other assassin's had on their hoods, Edward doesn't have the standard hood therefore looks less suspicious. One reasonfor this though is he isn't actually associated to Assassins or Templars. The developers talked about his allegiance in a recent trailer.
He never said the assassins didn't exist. The hashashin, as they were called, weren't as in the game, but a few parts are true. For example, they DID use small daggers in their sleeves, poison, dressed as sellers to fit in the crowd. Also, when Masyaf [which exists] was taken over by the Mongols, their leader ordered everyone to jump from the walls to their deaths. Some did this, some got captured, some got killed and some escaped to become freelance killers. Samurai's wouldn't make sense.
Since everyone's going on about samurai assassins, I will say that it could be great if it works well. Considering the beauty of the setting of Japan, as well as the fascinating stories, it would have potential to be a highlight of the series. A samurai probably wouldn't make sense, but some sort of cross between a samurai and a ninja could be an ideal assassin. And Ubisoft have said they have no PLANS for it, they haven't said no entirely. Who knows, though?
yea the creative director said in an interview that the outside-of-the-animus missions are going to be first person based. So you yourself are going in and out of the animus and are working for the templars...again. And now the animus has Desmond's genetic code stored inside so that's how you're playing as one of Desmond's ancestors.
Yes, you will be playing as someone who works at Abstergo. From what I've heard you are an innocent who's just simply working for the company and have no affiliation with the Templars/Assassins. The character stumbles upon the Assassin/Templar war and you discover little things about Desmond across the course of the game, much like you discovered little things in Assassin's Creed through the emails sent between Lucy and Vidic. That's what I've discovered so far.
Edward Kenway is the Blader from cabal online =-), I think he will meet some natives from that area, because only them can show how to use the trees and the blowpipe.
I wonder if they will do another kenway game after this, or they should make a English assassin around the time if Sherlock Holmes, London back then looked like quite the parkour place
For those mentioning a samurai assassins creed. The assassin would not be a samurai as they believed in honour and facing their opponent in a open fight. An assassin ninja however could work.
Couldn't agree more man, I feel like Ubisoft completely lost their touch after AC2. I avoided the ship missions at all cost 1) because I am bad at them and 2) I play AC for the city design and free running. I wouldn't mind as much if it was optional but I do feel that Ubisoft are alienating some of their player base. Not like it matter haha, my opinion isn't going to stop it selling.
ninjas were in the same time period as ancient japan so it would make great sense if it were to be set in ancient japan that you would be a ninja as they were the assassins of ancient japan
As much as the gameplay looks absolutely incredible.. I'm a little bit concerned about the storyline of the game.. They haven't really told us much about why we're living Edward's life, and the link back to the previous games.. Going to be interesting to see how they do that.
Aye I'm on about HOW they were build though. Saw something about it on tv. The resources, boulders and logs to roll the boulders on weren't easy to find. They also did an experiment somewhere to see how many man it would take to push a boulder up a hill to reach the top of a pyramid, it didn't happen
Given the success that songs from AC trailers keep having, could it become standard practice for Ubisoft/AC to include the track name and artists in the video descriptions?
I'm sure it will be.. but as you may noticed, so far they have never put "present storyline" in the trailers.. with the small exception of revelations.. :)
i think if they went to Ancient Egypt it would have been a bit to obvious. Japan or ancient China would have been epic. Also medieval England with the Knights Of The Round Table setting
Note the words AS POSSIBLE they obviously have to make some changes but they keep it accurate where they can such as when they removed the crossbow from AC1. I'm not acting smart.
No I think mission freedom is fine and the lack of customisation and property is fine for example they tried giving more choice in economy and it was horrific. Bugs and glitches can't really be helped. Tutorials are fine as they are. Walking and talking is a bad mission thing and unlocking the map as you go is a nice thing to do.
Given that around the time of the samurai, The ninja existed to kill said samurai. I think it would make a good game. I think ubisoft would be going backwards to make it though, Since the nearest two games are in such a modern theme.
I think that while open world is good it's better to have it like it is in this several large areas you travel between making it seem smaller as opposed to a single large world because then it feels more like it's trying to be like Skyrim and games like that.
Of course it does! It's like asking why doesn't that one guard that Ezio killed in the game at one point get his own game where he became an Assassin? Maybe, just maybe, if there was a game set in Japan or something like that: Ninjas.
A) Excuse you, but Connor didn't have robes per se. He had a COAT and a long one at that. He had a colonial coat with a shirt under. B) Altair wasn't MEANT to look like a monk and his "coolness" is not only debatable but a matter of opinion.
Samurai Assassin? No. They were heavily armored and didn't use stealth, they were also part of a powerful military caste in feudal japan. they would make for a good enemy though, since the power they have, such as military strength and money.
2 years later this game is still awesome
I'm Busy 4 years later to
8 year later this game is still awesome
11 years
11 years later this game is still better than recent AC titles
Okay, now that I've seen this, this goes #4 in my The best AC4 trailers list... better say they are all TOO GOOD, dammit!
The song :Railroad track willy moon
HammerRxc I love people like you
1:38 those grunt sounds are so oldschool... i love it
So badass it doesn't even need cinematics.
that song 😍
When the song started it sounded like "Hit The Road Jack"... I started singing it while watching the trailer.
I think this is the most badass AC trailer I've ever seen
For those who want the song, it's Railroad Track by Willy Moon :)
AC trailers always introduces me to the most awesome music :D
Something they should add is the ability to switch disguises, like when you steal a soldiers uniform, you should be able to 'put it on' during open play and sneak around in it.
I approve of bearded old granddads being badass protagonist pirate/assassins. We don't have enough of people like that in media.
They said that there will be a "What happened to Desmond" moment in AC IV,and yes u will be playing as an Abstergo employee with an outside of the animus storyline. Both things confirmed by Game Director Ashraf Ismail :)
Edward's face looks massively improved in this trailer.
the best AC4 trailer !
Wouldn't be the first time ancient people did something incredibly hard and complicated look at Stonehenge and Greek fire.
I'm awaiting the day they actually use the AC4 soundtrack in a trailer.. it seems so epic.
From the looks of this trailer, well be getting the stealth gameplay that was sometimes missing in previous games.
This is the best AC trailer ive seen why all the hates
EVERYONE WHO'S ASKING FOR THE SONG,JUST SCROLL DOWN AND LOOK,IT'S NAMED RAILROAD TRACK BY WILLY MOON.
Edward: the first assassin to realize that the assassin robes look suspicious as f*ck
If it's in the trailer odds are that we can do it in random encounters too. In previous ac games ezio put the janissary armor or a papal guard armor on, he never acted like a civillian like we saw in this trailer.
My favorite songs:
Woodkid-Iron
Imagine Dragons - Radioactive
Half Moon Run - Full Circle
Willy Moon - Railroad Track
Ninjas were trained to fight too. They were covert agents and mercenaries. But then that would mean visiting Feudal Japan and Ubi already crossed a line on that era.
The song is 'Railroad Track' by Willy Moon :)
I completely agree with you. But Ubisoft have said that they don't really wanna set an AC game during Feudal Japan, Ancient Eggypt, etc.
He's refering to the eagle peak all the other assassin's had on their hoods, Edward doesn't have the standard hood therefore looks less suspicious. One reasonfor this though is he isn't actually associated to Assassins or Templars. The developers talked about his allegiance in a recent trailer.
Hello my names Tomek from Poland.I am a great fan assassin's creed
yes there is..they say that it's "you" instead of Desmond..but no combat in present time missions
The song is Railroad Track by Willy Moon.
0:34 Edward looks really evil in this shot
He never said the assassins didn't exist. The hashashin, as they were called, weren't as in the game, but a few parts are true. For example, they DID use small daggers in their sleeves, poison, dressed as sellers to fit in the crowd. Also, when Masyaf [which exists] was taken over by the Mongols, their leader ordered everyone to jump from the walls to their deaths. Some did this, some got captured, some got killed and some escaped to become freelance killers. Samurai's wouldn't make sense.
I WISH THEY HAD KEPT IT LIKE THIS
Since everyone's going on about samurai assassins, I will say that it could be great if it works well.
When the song first started it really reminded me of the monorail song from the Simpsons
You have to give it to the devs for all the A C games, they know how to make good trailers.
Yeah me too but whoever she is she's going to be important to the story, like the ship Delicia from the E3 trailer (or at least I guess so).
yea the creative director said in an interview that the outside-of-the-animus missions are going to be first person based. So you yourself are going in and out of the animus and are working for the templars...again. And now the animus has Desmond's genetic code stored inside so that's how you're playing as one of Desmond's ancestors.
This looks like it's gonna have the most stealth in the whole franchise!!!
Ubisoft said that the naval gameplay in AC3 was a test to see how well it works.
Who was the fake Templar who took Vane's outfit O_o......?????
Edward so flipping awesome
Edward Kenway is the Blader from cabal online =-), I think he will meet some natives from that area, because only them can show how to use the trees and the blowpipe.
Song is Willy moon railroad track
I wonder if they will do another kenway game after this, or they should make a English assassin around the time if Sherlock Holmes, London back then looked like quite the parkour place
Seen so many people asking for the name of the song in this trailer... "Railroad Track" by Willy Moon. You're welcome.
We have no story for this dude other than he's a pirate, I don't know if they can recreate the amazing complexness of the prior games.
For those mentioning a samurai assassins creed. The assassin would not be a samurai as they believed in honour and facing their opponent in a open fight. An assassin ninja however could work.
Rule #1 after watching an Assassin's Creed Trailer - look up that Artist and listen to the Song a billion times!
i hope they make the hand to hand combat a bit more challenging so you have to sneak rather than take 5 guys on with ease
They said they aren't gonna do one in feudal Japan, plus, even if they did, the Samurai would more likely be the bad guys.
La pelea con El Tiburón para mi fue la mejor misión del juego
As much as the gameplay looks absolutely incredible.. I'm a little bit concerned about the storyline of the game.. They haven't really told us much about why we're living Edward's life, and the link back to the previous games.. Going to be interesting to see how they do that.
Guys put this on silent and play ''Santana - Put Your Lights On'' enjoy :)
Aye I'm on about HOW they were build though. Saw something about it on tv. The resources, boulders and logs to roll the boulders on weren't easy to find. They also did an experiment somewhere to see how many man it would take to push a boulder up a hill to reach the top of a pyramid, it didn't happen
He is a pirate to others. But to his "Brothers" He's an Assassin i like it lol
double sword action? OH SWEET CHEESUS. And i first thought this would become a shipsimulator :D
the peeps who make the ac trailers pick the perfect songs 4 each 1.tell if u agree
i think if they went to Ancient Egypt it would have been a bit to obvious. Japan or ancient China would have been epic. Also medieval England with the Knights Of The Round Table setting
I love this song
ACIII and ACIV has the best trailer
and now a serious question: is there gonna be anything about desmond or the present "outside-of-the-animus" storyline??
at the very start of the trailer, the music reminded me of fable II
Best tailer ever but the woman at the end is clearly important to the story
The red head is Anne bonny and if you know your history lessons you'd know she was one of the first girl pirates.
The song is called: Willy Moon - Railroad Track Thumbs up so everyone could see
the song is iron.
and woodkid is the artist.
:P
Looks absaloutly wicked cannot wait for this
Thank you, good sir!
Wow that was awesome! Better than Pirates of the Caribbean!
Note the words AS POSSIBLE they obviously have to make some changes but they keep it accurate where they can such as when they removed the crossbow from AC1. I'm not acting smart.
I think that the "DEFY" trailer should be a story trailer, that's the game about,defy...
Finally...ACR's awesome visual style but better + AC3's awesome gameplay but better.
1:39 THATS THE IRRESPONSIBLE GUY SCREAMING FROM HAPPYWHEELS
No I think mission freedom is fine and the lack of customisation and property is fine for example they tried giving more choice in economy and it was horrific. Bugs and glitches can't really be helped. Tutorials are fine as they are. Walking and talking is a bad mission thing and unlocking the map as you go is a nice thing to do.
Seriously for every trailer I nerd all over the place
Priorities.
You know yours.
And I agree with you.
It's seems that AC is also working as music promoter..nice music.
Given that around the time of the samurai, The ninja existed to kill said samurai. I think it would make a good game. I think ubisoft would be going backwards to make it though, Since the nearest two games are in such a modern theme.
Desmond was one of the best parts!
HE SAWED HIS ARM OFF. Dissasembly confirmed.
Epic I loved this game so much
Yeah he also had a thing with Anne Bonnie so the wiki page says
I think that while open world is good it's better to have it like it is in this several large areas you travel between making it seem smaller as opposed to a single large world because then it feels more like it's trying to be like Skyrim and games like that.
Ubisoft, introducing us to good music since revelations.
Nice trailer, what was the name of the song playing?
Of course it does! It's like asking why doesn't that one guard that Ezio killed in the game at one point get his own game where he became an Assassin? Maybe, just maybe, if there was a game set in Japan or something like that: Ninjas.
Yoho yoho, a pirate I'll soon will be!
Song: Railroad Track
Artist: Willy Moon
why does assassins creed always have epic music in there trailers
A) Excuse you, but Connor didn't have robes per se. He had a COAT and a long one at that. He had a colonial coat with a shirt under.
B) Altair wasn't MEANT to look like a monk and his "coolness" is not only debatable but a matter of opinion.
You play as an Abstergo agent in the present day. In Montreal.
Samurai Assassin? No. They were heavily armored and didn't use stealth, they were also part of a powerful military caste in feudal japan. they would make for a good enemy though, since the power they have, such as military strength and money.
