As a guitar player can guarantee the D'dario string winder is a must have, the number of times this has saved me at gigs, just changing an unexpectedly broken string. The 3 must haves from this list deffo has to be the winder/clipper, Slinkies, tuner! Great list as always Josh!
The PolyTune Clip is awesome. I keep one in my guitar case with a Boss distortion pedal and a 9V battery. If something goes wrong with my pedalboard I can get those out and still play. Also, I recommend the Ibanez Mini Tube Screamer, MXR Phase 95 and Mooer E-Lady. They’re small and affordable and are my favorite mini pedals as far as overdrive/phaser/flanger go.
Here in the upper midwest, my house will get down to about 20% humidity during really cold winters so I'll throw one of those Boveda packs in each of my electric guitar cases just so to keep everything in check. My first winter here I didn't do that and my strat's neck (which was my only guitar at the time) paid the price as did my fingers due to fret sprout.
I keep a close eye on the temp and humidity in my apt, 1 in each room. They're called a Hydrometer/Thermometer. eBay, just got the 3rd one under $10 with Uncle Sam.
@@davidkastin4240 Yup. They are a great and cheap investment. I have a cheap ($30) one that has time/date/humidity and temp sitting on the amp in my guitar room. Maybe a good stocking stuffer for others out there? :)
My favorite things to find in my stocking is tree nuts...Brazil, almond, pecan, walnut, hazel, etcetera Ohh and Ferrera Roche chocolate, and peppermint sticks.
B STOCK pedals are my go to gifts...a paint blotch or a volum on my pedal doesn't effect its sound...I mean how many other people's klone has a missing E...I'd say that's a rarer pedal...
I tune by ear and use 9s on my fender style guitars, 10s on Gibson style guitars, and 11s on my Jag. Also I am very lonely. Please like comment. Srsly, nice list. I do enjoy my 3-series reverb.
Not a bad list but I'm surprised you didn't include any guitar picks. Stocking stuffers are supposed to be small and cheap after all. I also would substitute the Polytune for the D'addario micro tuner. It's my go to for my regular and headless guitars and it's low profile which I like.
For someone who knows nothing about guitar, in need for a cheap gift, there’s nothing better than strings. Everyone can use 10s or get different ones, which leads to creative experimentation or even new tunings.
My string player siblings used to put a piece of potato in the case to humidify. Then they upgraded to some rubber gidget that went in the f hole. Cigar aficionados have humidity gadgets, too.
@jhspedals the potato? Yeah, pretty sure (it was the early 80s). On the plus, it's a natural sponge that releases moisture in a controlled and even way. On the minus, it's a potato chunk in an instrument case.
I am not a fan of people putting things in my stockings. Just give me money. Or even better, forget I exist and just go away. BaaHumbug! (Okay, Rat pedals are cool....)
nonono. the thing is a crappy pedal box, stuffed full of 10's n 20's, 50's and a few bigger ones. or skip the whole pedal part and get me another matchless
Nothing like finding a Rat in your stocking
Or a pack of them.

Best Christmas ever?!?
Unless it bites 😂 ✌️
fortunately, buying gifts for Josh is easy ,
send him your EMPTY BOXES !
OH BOY I CAN’T WAIT FOR A buffer FOR CHRISTMAS!
I have a Rat and I'd still love another one in my stocking
yeah same
Double up and get your Graham Coxon on.
I'm loving the JHS Octave Reverb. Received it last week.
that's awesome!! thanks for the support!!

Thanks, Josh! I got the last Kyser Cut Capo that Sweetwater had in stock! 🙂

You don't need to humidify your guitars in the winter if you live in Scotland...
I can't wait!!!!

That’s what I recommend
Graz on 500k
The Polytune changed my life.
The Planet Waves tool is actually a 3-in-1. There’s a bridge pin puller, too.
I am Josh's dog. Yes, he really did that.
Because no one buys me musical stuff, or really any gifts, I usually buy something to stuff in a stocking.
I would've said a Screamer... I have probably 20 different OD/Boosts yet I would always take another one...
santa josh got me shaking in my boots
Josh= Josh Happy Scott @4:20😂

Cool list, I'd say that unitune is a better deal tho ❤
The only stocking stuffer I want is 50 chase bliss mystery boxes.

9 gauge Super Slinkys, please.
josh why is it snowing inside i’m scared

wait, for real?

Josh send me a stocking stuffer, please Santa Josh 🎅
Personally want a JHS Muffuletta under the tree. Too bad my dog doesn't have a credit card.
Thank you Swe..Swee..Santa Josh Elf
Haha daddario xs for the win ❤
For the Rat: buy the Azor black distortion: 20$, 3 modes, tiny.
Don't waste money. I bought 2 different Azor pedals, separate times, both were defective, they suck!
7 gauge slinkies all the way!
My dog's resonant frequency is ice cream
I need a drum machine pedal that just does all the drum beats from Spoon.
You make me laugh Josh.
Sweetwater.
I need a JHS Colour box V2 amazing 10 in my stockings but I don't think I will get it at least untill V3 20 is out 😢
What about the bass players?
Deodorant and new strings. Any variety.
A tuner'll still suffice 👌
They can also use pedals!
A pack of Lucky Strikes, a razor, deodorant, and a pack of your favorite strings 😁
These can double as "Middle days of Hanukkah" presents too.

If anyone bought me any of the 3 series pedals as a stocking stuffer, they would win Christmas
And I'm keeping the box!
Unitune over Poly! Cheaper, and the poly function doesn’t work well, and gets distracting while tuning single notes
I don't have a dog but I have a cat, does the TC electronic tuner also work on cats?
No, for cats you gotta use a Snark
I tried it on my cat and it said my cat was flat.
Nah, I'm with Rhett playing 9's. lol
What are your thoughts, or anyone reading this, on the Beat Buddy drum machine pedal?
Boss RC-5 or Groove Loop x2?
Boss!
I wanna be friends with Josh.
You can't tune a dog but you can tuna fish.
I am not a fan of people putting things in my stockings. Just give me money. Or even better, forget I exist and just go away. BaaHumbug! (Okay, Rat pedals are cool....)
I’m the only musical person I know. 🤷🏽♂️
Typo in the description: “Earnie”? 😅
Airnaynay
ear-knee
2 metal zones
I just asked google "what is the resonant frequency of a dog"
The answer was 6-10 Hz. Very low Sub Sub Bass.
woah
I hate Ernie Ball strings. They rust on me instantly. D'Addario or Rotosound all the way.
Sorry, but Super Slinky is all I use.

I have been to Kansas City (KS & MO) many times in my life and I've never run across you or any of your minions... what gives, Josh?
we hide in the shadows
Boveda? Lmao you get high af and play with your delay, I know it
They work man.

So, is the Joyo Sustainor basically an Ebow? Does the Ebow have a switch?
