    So glad to be bringing back the videos I want to be making. Contrary to popular belief, I am not eternally salty, however the internet is full of apologisim and that frankly isn't us, so from time to time we have to fill the salt quota.
    All that aside, how's the microphone? I reset all the settings this evening and hopefully it's working much better... that is at least until windows arbitrarily changes them all again for no goo reason seemingly.

      Sounds like good quality, also will you do a video going over your Solar Auxilia army? I would love to see that, and if they are as well painted as your thousand sons(which they probably are) then they will be a stunning army to see

      The Outer Circle would you consider these guys for a first time resin worker and a first time horus heresy player ?

      The mic sounds SO much better. No more "squeaking" digital artifacts. Thing is, Cat, Macca, and everyone else on this channel: you guys do such a damn good job that I would suffer ear rape just to get my daily dose of electrolytes :) Anyways - happy to have the Solar Aux!!! The Veletaris have really invaded the creative center of my mind lately.

    I like how the reason the solar Auxilia were made was because a sculpter was tired of sculpting just power armor 😂

      Fortunately GW is purging all sculptors with sentience and replacing them with CAD monkeys who are completely incapable of sculpting anything that doesn’t look like trash and just assemble pre-made assets.

    If I'm ever wealthy enough for 30k and can actually paint (getting there, should be decent once I finish my orks), I'm going for these guys, and maybe for some Mark III Imperial Fists with shields as the "command squad" for fluff reasons.

  • @Cadars

    another good advice for a solar auxilia army is to choose a simple colour scheme, these models are crazy detailed and take a lot of time to paint :)

    Been looking at getting Auxilia as a 'counts as' Scions force. Mostly because 5 Scions are now 50 freaking dollars and these just look better in my mind.
    That said, if I get the right things for my force, it could easily become a HH force, so this is quite helpful ^_^

    Great introduction, I very much enjoyed listening to your thoughts and agree the Solar Auxilia is a great army for the heresy 👍🏻
    What do you think about using the Aurox to get Flamer or Veletaris with power axes in close? I bought an Aurox for this purpose to support a full strength Veletaris Tercio mounted in Demo Cannon Dracosans. Cheeky, I thought.

    • @TheOuterCircle
      @TheOuterCircle  6 лет назад +4

      My issue with that is that they are higher value targets than Lasrifle sections and the like. So they probably want the more survivable transport option, not the rhino analogue. I haven't tested my Aurox out enough to make a decision tho. It's just one of those things.

  • @socialanimalmedia

    Excited to see you moving into the non-legion section! Will you make or have you ever made a video discussing Allied Detachments and respective strategies? It seems to me that, for example, Allied Detachments are useful for two reasons; one legit, the other not so much. The first is to make up for your main force's shortcomings. For example I run Night Lords Terror Assault and with the restriction to just 1 Heavy Support an allied detachment - say with a Thanatar-Calix or Krios Venator - can really balance things out). The other reason is just a form of "that guy"-style bullshit: to simply create cheesy combos or spam stuff. I'd be very curious to hear your (or anyone in the comments) opinion on this stuff.
    Thanks Outer Circle! You guys rock.

    hmmm the more i learn about the solar aux the more i'd love to play them. well maybe after i've got my main 2 40k armies up to strength and have got sw legion forces up to strength then I'll consider conversion building myself a solar aux army

    9:13 This is pretty late, and not that most would care, but for Death Korps of Krieg, Korps pronounced like Core. From my understanding, Korps is the German way of spelling the English word for Corps (like the US Marine Corps)

    Im not going to invest in all of those books and a whole new army of miniatures if i dont even have the confidence that what i want in my army will be available when i have saved enough to puchase it.

    • @Grubnar
      @Grubnar 6 лет назад +3

      Unknown (the Horus Heresy novels haven't gotten to that yet) but I would guess that they were all but exterminated during the Siege of Terra, and that if any survived they were just folded into the Imperial Army, Who was then broken up into the Imperial Guard.
      But if Games Workshop were to make rules for them in 40k, they could easily just say that the survivors were tasked with garrisoning a planet somewhere after the Heresy, and later started turning out regiments for the Imperial Guard, like good little soldiers!

    • @TheOuterCircle
      @TheOuterCircle  6 лет назад +5

      Gotta sprinkle (pour) in the salt occasionally, because there's plenty of positive words on the internet about GW, but not many people willing to be the naysayer and point out the bad things. So, we have that responsibility, to point out the bad things, even if I'd rather be making this content.
