Since I put up the poll for which should be next, Solar or Mechanicum, and since so many people responded, I felt it only fair to try and look after both sides of the poll. So here's a convoluted episode for you all!
Anyone got some thoughts on how to convert up a multilaser Thallax? Besides stalking C.S. Goto until he lays a Kinder-Egg full of resin multilasers I mean :)
Interesting stuff! As a new player of 30k, the most mind boggling thing about the army list books is when the techmarine entry for cortex controller starts talking about bizarre mechanum names, ever considered doing a video for that in particular?
Awesome. I was wondering if mechanicum would be covered. I realize I will need to sell one of my kidneys if I want forgeworld mechanicum, but 40k doesn’t really do much for me since 8year old Warhammer40k (read 8th edition). I just can’t focus on a rule set that the corner of your vehicle can shoot around terrain/cover ...etc etc
Nate- yeah man, I love forgeworld but it’s just so much dough to buy even a few units& the new 8th edition just ain’t for me. 7 isn’t perfect but I truly think HH would be detrimentally effected should they force an edition change. I’m sure if I was ten years old/ had never played war games before 8th would be an excellent place to start. Personally I got my first taste of commercially produced miniatures rules with Napoleons battles by Avalon Hill in ‘91! & 2nd ed Warhammer40k & Space Hulk in 92ish. But I’ve been making house rules/ homegrown rules since I got a wargaming book by Donald Featherstone as a little kid. (Sorry about rant/ I’m 41 and babble a lot nowadays)
Ugh, it’s so painful trying to pick a legion to start! I’ve gone through every “getting started” video and still can’t decide between Luna wolves, Iron Hands, Raven Guard and Imperial Fists, doesn’t help that all the primarch models look great. Also, would it be better to get a primarch and Fellblade or a Warhound Titan as the army centrepiece?
I got a Warhound kit, as I play Guard in 40k, and I'm interested in either Fists or, now, Mechanicum for 30k, and I can use my titan, once built, for any of these. Of course, the same applies to the FW knights as well, for fewer penies.
that instead of a new season were getting a movie that instead of picking up from where the series left off it will being going off the movie remakes which changed the story an alternate timeline if you will.
The Arvis lighter, tech priest auxilla, and secutarii could probably have been addressed. Until the grav imploder got nerfed the tech priests were my main infantry, still use them to herd bots cheaply though.
It's a getting started video, I try to keep the list of suggestions really short and go with the most user-friendly units. Big, tough units and cannon fodder for objectives, with some basic HQ stuff is a solid starting place IMO.
@@t-34mediumtank16 yeah, the Land Raider has always bugged me as well. In fact, when the new backwards Sicaran artillery tanks were released, Mr Cheese and I were talking about converting LRs in the same way, kinda like a big Russ minus the turret. Which would pretty much make it an oversized WW1 British Tank like the Mk4.
Domitar and thanatar heilx are quite meh even bad units :'( way too expensive for what they bring) Thanks a lot for those vids, always a pleasure to watch !
dude your vids are so low in volume i can hardly hear you i have my speakers at full 100% and can,t still make out everything you say. i hope you can crank it up a bit.
I’m glad you didn’t mention the Djinn Skien - cyber occularis - twin Thanatar death artillery combo, that’s just mean.
"Mention-not the cybertheugy and such related shenanigans" - I believe that's a direct quote from the bible.
Tell me more ;3

Yes, my favorite faction! Do you know when Scoria is actually going to come out?
Sam Richardson This Xmas most likely.
Henry the 9th so long but thanks for a reasonable estimate!

I think the Mechanicum really just needs a full overview unto itself of each and everything.
Oh, that's unexpected - I've got the urge to build a Machanicum army now. Hmm, I wonder which organs I can do without?
I'll be making a whole Mechanicum army.... but I'll be kitbashing 1000 points of it.....
I think I've gone mad
I lost my Preator to the Thanatar. Roll 1 for Look Out Sir. Fail invol. Thanks for comin out
I got a thanatar recently, PLASMA RAPE GO BRRRRRRR
Get a Mortian Crawler with Artillery Upgrade for your Medusa/Basilisk needs

Same. I plan on mixing with recasts, mostly stuff like upgrades which FW decided to get rid of.
I like the way he says Boook lol 😂
No love for mighty ursurax or the secutarii Macca?
Not for a beginners list, but they're a good 'next step' set of units.

Primarch and Fellblade is fluffier for a Legion army. Luna Wolves are cool but extremely limited by the timeframe in which they existed.

cool needed this after the depressing Code Geass news

Well that’s unfortunate... I heard rumours that they were making a new season but I guess not.
@@braydoxastora5584 rumor says there is a new season after resurrection, the movie was A+ fan fic (in a good way imo).

So the next one is Legio Custodes??
No, never, never ever ever ever ever
Militia, Knights, then Custodes.
The Outer Circle Ok then, could you later do a small segment regarding knights-errant as well please?
I feel that they are an oddity in horus heresy
After custodes when I start looking at more advanced builds, allies, fortifications, lords of war etc. then I will do them.
Those Mechanicum tanks are backwards - they'd never climb a trench driving forwards.
They're clearly a French design, 'shoot and scoot' as it were....
So is a land raider for that matter

The calix is double-poo. Badd shooting AND bad in combat AND it takes 4 turns to reach enemy fortifications, best case. Maybe that's triple poo...
