Good for you! Very good explanation! I really like the real English accent! This is how you make your videos with narration.
You have very beautiful creatures in your tank, i love your anemones!
I don't think the spider crab harms the anemone, rather it cleans it..😊😊😊

Thank you my friend, He is not harming the anemone as you say, in fact I'm not sure how this works. The Calliactis parasitica can be quite aggressive, and if threatened can emit a veritable spiders web of Acontia full of stinging cells. So it can not be uncomfortable with the crabs presence and the crab is not eliciting a feeding response for some reason. This behaviour of this paring is unknown to me and I can find no reference to it. All the best from Cornwall.

@@barleyarrish ..you have nice creatures in cornwall! I also had the corresponding anemone of the mediterranean, it was very thorny for all the creatures of the tank. I gave her to a friend, she is doing well in his tank.

Very cool! I've never seen any of my spider crabs interact with any anemones as far as I can remember.. Very much enjoyed the narration! Hope you'll do that again! How big is that sea hare btw?

About 10 cm's, there are two Hare's and they are mating every few days and egg laying.
I'm just recovering from a couple of days with a head cold, so I hope the narration was OK.
It is always a surprise to hear your own voice... I can find no records of this specific behaviour observed the wild or in captivity. And this evening he is sitting quite at ease in this anemone. It just goes to show how keeping cold water marine creatures one finds can provide interesting observations.

@@barleyarrish Don't think I've ever seen one that big! Narration was very good! Always strange to hear your own voice... I'm just starting to get used to it myself tbh, hehe! Very true! Some of what we see have probably never been observed before I'd imagine.

Hare can grow to about 18 cm's and on occasion 20 cm's, but usually hare's that size are seen when diving. When young they eat Red Sea Weed's giving them their brown colour, then switch to Greens as they become adult. My two (have not seen the small one for a while) seem to be adult as they are copulating and laying egg's. I'm hopeful that I can find a leach's spider crab this season, it will be interesting to see it in the Snakelock's Anemone at one end of the tank with Longlegs in his Parasitic Anemone at the other end, Heh heh.
I must go down to a beach and get some more Ulva, the appetite of the Hare's is prodigious.

@@barleyarrish That's massive! I've read they eat A LOT indeed... Very cool that they're laying eggs. Hope they will hatch, and you'll have a bunch of min-hares in there!! 😄 Really looking forward to seeing how your tank progresses!
